(AP) — Tyler Clippard pitched hitless ball for two innings for a players' association team against Japanese amateurs, trying to impress scouts and regain a major league job.Thirty-eight players have attended a free agent camp that opened Feb. 14, and the union put together an exhibition game Tuesday against the East Japan Railway Company.The starting lineup included center fielder Alejandro De Aza, catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia, designated hitter Juan Francisco, first baseman Tyler Moore, right fielder Luke Scott, third baseman Chris Johnson, shortstop Omar Infante, left fielder Nolan Reimold and second baseman Tyler Ladendorf. The free agents won 2-0 in five innings, allowing just one hit. Several scouts looked on.Two players agreed to minor league deals after attending camp: right-hander Carlos Torres with Cleveland and left-hander Tommy Layne with Boston. 1B Tyler Moore started for the second day in a row Thursday. With Justin Bour on the disabled list, do the Marlins have a regular first baseman? "I would say probably not," manager Don Mattingly said Thursday. "At this point not really." Moore doubled in his first at-bat Thursday against his former team and ended the night 1-for-4.

1B Tyler Moore, getting the start Wednesday, had two hits against his former team. Moore was part of the first playoff team for the Nationals in 2012 and had some key pinch hits that year for Washington, including one in the playoffs.

1B Tyler Moore, playing for injured first baseman Justin Bour, went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles and two RBIs. Moore is hitting .286 this season and has become a valuable member of Miami's bench.

1B Tyler Moore was 3-for-4 with two homers and four RBIs on Friday night. It was his second career multi-homer game. He has a hit in seven of his past eight games against Pittsburgh.

INF/OF Tyler Moore was recalled from Triple-A New Orleans. The 30-year-old utility man started the season with the Marlins due to an injury to 3B Martin Prado. Moore did well in a limited role, batting .364 in 11 at-bats. He was sent down to New Orleans when Prado returned from injury. But with this newest wave of marlins injuries, Moore is needed once again.

OF Tyler Moore was outrighted to Triple-A New Orleans after clearing waivers. Moore was 4-for-11 with a double in eight games for the Marlins after not playing in the majors last season.

1B/OF Tyler Moore has played well in limited opportunities as a backup and pinch hitter. Moore, 30, is hitting .400 in 10 at-bats with one double and one RBI. However, with two Marlins infielders due to come off the disabled list -- third baseman Martin Prado on Monday and shortstop Adeiny Hechavarria within a week -- Moore's roster spot is in severe jeopardy. If the Marlins cut Moore, he could get picked up off waivers by another team. If not, there would be a chance for the Marlins to keep him at Triple-A New Orleans.

INF/OF Tyler Moore, who played for the Nationals from 2012-15, made the Marlins' Opening Day roster after not playing in the majors last season. Moore got a nice round of applause from the fans in Washington on Wednesday when he entered the game as a pinch hitter in the fourth, and he then smoked a double to center. Manager Don Mattingly said 1B Justin Bour will play against lefties, and the Nationals start LHP Gio Gonzalez on Thursday. Moore, the backup first baseman, hits from the first side.

Ryan Zimmerman may not play again this season, so look for Moore to man the short side of a platoon at the position with Clint Robinson.

Moore will make a third consecutive start at first base in Sunday's game against the Marlins, Chelsea Janes of the Washington Post reports.

With the Nationals' top two first-base options (Ryan Zimmerman and Clint Robinson) day-to-day with injuries, Moore has begun to see more at-bats of late, but has yet to take advantage of the opportunity. He went 1-for-7 with three strikeouts over the first two games of the series.

Moore (ankle) has been activated from the disabled list.

Moore's rehab went largely under the radar, but he didn't require much time on the disabled list. With the rosters expanded, no corresponding move is necessary, but he probably won't see a ton of playing time in his return.
