Tue Jul 23 201311:03Italian team interested in Samardo Samuels
Samardo Samuels, who played for the Clippers at Summer League, has reportedly drawn interest from the Italian team Armani Milano.
It's possible that an NBA team will give him a minimum contract to fill out their frontcourt, but at least we know Samuels has options. He appeared in just 18 contests for Cleveland last year, averaging 3.2 points in 11 minutes per game.

Samardo Samuels will reportedly play in summer league for the Clippers.
Samuels signed a two-month contract to play in Israel back in April after the Cavs waived him in January, and he could never stay out of Byron Scott's dog house long enough to get a stable spot in Cleveland's rotation. The Clippers will reportedly give him a look to see if he has improved his game after a short time overseas.

Wed Dec 12 201209:09Scott: It's 'between the ears' with Samuels
Byron Scott said that it's all "between the ears" when asked about Samardo Samuels' playing time.
Samuels played 25 seconds on Tuesday and is not currently a consistent part of the rotation. "Once he gets that down pat, he'll be in the rotation on a steady basis," Scott said. Samuels worked out with Antawn Jamison in the summer in order to get in better shape, but he's still got some work to do to crack the Cavs rotation.

Samardo Samuels may have played his way out of the Cavaliers' rotation on Saturday, finishing his six minutes with two fouls and one death stare from coach Byron Scott.
Jon Leuer (four points in 24 minutes) assumed Samuels' limited minutes in the second half, which is interesting for Cavs' fanatics but meaningless in fantasy leagues.

Mon Sep 24 201210:21Samardo Samuels in 'excellent shape' for camp
Samardo Samuels is in "excellent shape," sources tell the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
Samuels had said earlier this summer that he was down 17 lbs. from the previous season and cut down his body fat, and after arriving 20 lbs. overweight last season, this is a much better start for Samuels. However, it's going to be tough for him to get consistent playing time and he'll have to prove that he can contribute regularly to earn a spot in the rotation.

"I just feel great," he said. "I've been working the whole summer." Scott said that he was pleased and called it an "amazing transformation."

Samardo Samuels scored six points and grabbed six rebounds in 22 minutes on Sunday as the Cavaliers fell to the Pistons.
Both Semih Erden and Ryan Hollins received DNP-CD's in this one, and Samuels could be in line for a few more minutes backing up Antawn Jamison and Tristan Thompson. He's still a long way from fantasy relevance, however.

Samardo Samuels hit his first seven shots and finished with 15 points, five boards, two assists, a steal and a block on 7-of-10 shooting in 22 minutes off the Cavaliers bench on Tuesday.
He had made just four field goals in 2012 and saw minutes due to the absence of Tristan Thompson, who was out with a sprained ankle. Samuels is worth keeping an eye on, but we doubt he does this again anytime soon.
