Sun Dec 28 201417:20Henry (Achilles) waived by Lakers on Sunday
Henry (Achilles) was waived by the Lakers on Sunday, ESPN's Marc Stein reports.
Henry was already set to miss the remainder of the 2014-15 season due to a torn Achilles tendon, but it looks like he'll have to continue his rehab with another organization. Any team willing to take a chance on the injury-plagued forward can place a waiver claim, and if he has no potential suitors, he'll become a free agent.

An MRI confirmed Henry sustained a torn Achilles during Monday's practice, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports. Henry will miss the remainder of the 2014-15 season.
The injury is another tough blow to the career of Henry, who's been plagued by injury after injury over the past few seasons. He become the third Lakers player to be lost for the season, joining Steve Nash (back) and rookie Julius Randle (leg). Henry, who also dealt with knee and back issues earlier in the season, will finish averaging 2.2 points in 9.6 minutes.
Mon Nov 24 201415:32Henry suffered Achilles injury during Monday's practice
Henry suffered an Achilles injury during Monday's practice.
While the team is still awaiting the results of an MRI, the fear is that Henry ruptured his Achilles, which would almost certainly sideline him for the rest of the season. The oft-injured Henry has been limited since undergoing offseason knee surgery, and he just recently returned from a D-League assignment aimed at helping him return to game shape. Henry played only 43 games last season and has seen time in nine of the Lakers' 14 contests in 2014-15.
Sat Nov 15 201418:49Henry assigned to D-League on Saturday
Henry was assigned to the D-League on Saturday.
Henry has played a minimal role with the Lakers this season, averaging 8.9 minutes in seven games. He'll head down Saturday but figures to return the next time the Lakers need some depth at the two or three positions.
Thu Oct 30 201407:18Henry did not see court in blowout loss to Suns
Henry, who surprisingly played 18 minutes in Tuesday's opener, did not see the court in the blowout loss to the Suns.
It's likely Henry sat as it was the second game of a back-to-back and he had seen no action in the preseason and was gassed. He looked rusty in Tuesday's game, scoring just three points (0-4 FG, 3-4 FT) with one rebound and one steal and will have very little fantasy value given his injury history. He remains a deep league only option.
Tue Oct 28 201414:42Henry (knee) will be available to play Tuesday against Rockets
Henry (knee) will be available to play Tuesday against the Rockets.
Henry will be active despite sitting out the entire preseason. He isn't likely to see a heavy dose of minute, as he's still working his way back into game shape and will likely be rusty. His active status is a positive indication going forward, though, and he'll have a chance to see increased playing time while Nick Young (thumb) is sidelined.

Henry (knee) was able to shoot Sunday and is expected to begin running Monday, but coach Byron Scott does not expect to have him available for Tuesday's season opener.
With Nick Young (thumb) out, Henry may have seen additional minutes, but with his own status in question, Henry is not a player fantasy owners want to turn toward for opening night.

Henry will travel to New York to seek a second opinion following the knee surgery he had in the summer, and he will return to the Lakers on Friday, at which point his status will be updated, Lakers reporter Mike Trudell reports.
Following the second opinion he'll receive this weekend, he will travel to Germany to receive Regenokine treatment. He was also dealing with back spasms earlier in the week, so his status for the start of the season seems to be in jeopardy.
Wed Oct 15 201420:41Henry (back) will not play in Thursday's game against Jazz
Henry (back) will not play in Thursday's game against the Jazz, the Los Angeles Times reports.
Henry has been dealing with back spasms since the beginning of October and the pain is still causing him problems. He was able to practice on a limited basis Tuesday, but it hasn't improved enough in order to give him a chance to play Thursday. Henry may get a shot to play this weekend if he sees enough improvement throughout the rest of the week.
Tue Oct 14 201416:59Henry (back) limited in practice Tuesday
Henry (back) was limited in practice Tuesday.
Coach Byron Scott praised Henry's effort during parts of Tuesday's practice, but the guard is not quite ready to return to full contact. He's unlikely to play in Thursday's exhibition but could play Sunday.
Mon Oct 13 201415:46Henry (back) through light practice Monday
Henry (back) went through a light practice Monday, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.
Henry did not play in Sunday's preseason contest and continues to rehab his ailing back. He scrimmaged with the team over the weekend but is still without much in the way of a firm timetable.
Sun Oct 12 201420:43Henry (back) will not play in Sunday's preseason game
Henry (back) will not play in Sunday's preseason game.
Henry has been in and out of practice over the past couple weeks as he continues to nurse a nagging back injury. He'll rest Sunday and likely be limited in practice this week. With opening night less than three weeks away, Henry would appear to be in danger of missing regular season time.

Henry (back) returned to the court and participated in five-on-zero drills Tuesday after missing the first week of camp, InsideSoCal.com reports.
With Nick Young (thumb) and Wesley Johnson (knee) nursing injuries of varying severity, the Lakers need Henry back to play some minutes on the wing. He was productive last season, but has been bitten by the injury bug in his NBA career and will be hard to rely upon in standard fantasy leagues.
Tue Oct 7 201417:21Henry (back) slowly progressing
Henry (back) is slowly progressing, and he could possibly scrimmage Wednesday, Lakers reporter Mike Trudell reports.
Henry sat out Monday's preseason game with back spasms, but things are moving in the right direction, and his status for the start of the regular season doesn't appear to be in jeopardy.

Henry (back), as anticipated, did not play in Monday's loss to the Denver Nuggets.
Henry will likely return to practice later this week and will look to prove his health in order to get minutes in Nick Young's (thumb) stead. His health is a major factor in his fantasy value, and it's hard to rely on him for consistent production.
Mon Oct 6 201407:07Henry returned to practice court Sunday
Henry returned to the practice court Sunday, but only to engage in an opposite hand free-throw shooting contest with Nick Young, with his back stiffness prohibiting him from participating in any activities involving running, InsideSoCal.com reports.
Coach Byron Scott said the Lakers were looking to work the stiffness out in the next few days before Henry can participate in full court drills in practice. If Henry can get healthy, he will be in line to get minutes in Nick Young's (thumb) absence, but his noted fragility keeps off the radar in most fantasy leagues.
Sun Oct 5 201407:16Henry recovered from wrist and knee injuries
Henry is recovered from his wrist and knee injuries, for which he had surgeries in the offseason, but the back spasms he is suffering are getting better, but coach Byron Scott doesn't have a timetable for his return, the L.A. Times reports.
Henry would've been in line for an uptick in minutes with Nick Young's recent thumb injury, but unfortunately the five-year veteran hasn't been able to stay healthy himself. The most games he has played in his NBA career was 50, back in 2012-13, when he averaged 3.8 points in 12 minutes a game in New Orleans. Henry set career highs in points, three-pointers, rebounds, assists, steals, field goal and free throw percentage last season, his first in Los Angeles, but his frailty rules him out of consideration for most fantasy leagues.
Thu Oct 2 201417:19Henry (back) missed Thursday's practice
Henry (back) missed Thursday's practice, Mike Trudell of Lakers.com reports.
Henry has now missed three consecutive days with back spasms. Coming into camp, it was his knees that were thought to be the issue, but recent reports indicate he's progressed to the point that, if his back would cooperate, he'd be ready to practice.
Tue Sep 30 201417:35Henry (knee) missed Tuesday's practice due to back spasms
Henry (knee) missed Tuesday's practice due to back spasms, the Orange County Register reports.
Henry is in the final stages of his recovery from right knee surgery performed in April, but a new ailment is now holding him on the sideline. The wing rotation is fairly cluttered with Kobe Bryant, Wesley Johnson, and Nick Young taking on the bulk of the minutes, which doesn't bode well for the perpetually-injured Henry.

Henry (knee) was able to play some 5-on-5 last week but hasn't been fully cleared for practice, the Orange County Register reports.
Henry holds the goal of active status on opening night -- Oct. 28 versus the Rockets -- but with only a whisper of 5-on-5 work to date, he'll be hard-pressed to uphold such a forecast. Once cleared, though, he'll enter a competition with Nick Young, Wes Johnson, Jordan Clarkson, and Wayne Ellington for reserve run on the wing. In the long run, Henry will have to fend off his perpetual bout with injury, which has capped him at 50 games in any of his four seasons.
