Magic will sign G Armon Johnson and G/F DeQuan Jones for training camp.
Johnson was "very confident" in August that he'd be signed by a team before the season started, and he'll have a chance to earn a spot with the Magic. He was waived by the Blazers in February and finished the season with the Nets. Jones went undrafted in 2012 after four years at the University of Miami.

Wed Aug 8 201209:15Armon Johnson confident he'll get NBA chance
Armon Johnson is "very confident" that he'll be signed before next season begins.
Johnson, a free agent, was asked by the Nets to sit out summer league in case he was a part of a Dwight Howard trade, so he didn't get the opportunity to audition in front of scouts. However, that hasn't dissuaded Johnson's confidence. "I've been talking to some teams," he said. "I'm working my butt off in the gym to be ready for camp, and I'm going to take advantage of whatever opportunity I get." He'll offer no fantasy value regardless of where he lands.

Someone had to go in order to make room for Joel Przybilla, and Johnson gets the ax instead of Greg Oden. Johnson, a 2010 second round pick out of Nevada, spent much of this season in the D-League. He's got a chance to latch on with someone else thanks to his defensive abilities.

Sun Nov 7 201003:34Johnson has his first off-night in Portland
Armon Johnson, who has been praised by just about everybody around the Blazers, had his first really bad night on Saturday, with six turnovers and only a steal and an assist in 12 minutes.
It's been thought that he could start cutting into Andre Miller's (six points, 13 assists, 34 minutes) playing time, but it looks like that's not such a sure bet after tonight. Either way, it's something to watch for, but Miller's owners shouldn't react until Johnson can be consistent.
Wed Nov 3 201002:32Rookie Johnson shining in Portland
Rookie backup PG Armon Johnson is turning heads in Portland, and had another solid night off the bench with 10 points on 4-of-4 shooting (including two threes) with two rebounds and five assists in 22 minutes.
If you want to know how much the Blazers like him, follow the link, but it's safe to say that they like him a lot. He plays ferocious defense and has all of the intangibles, and may have be a part of the Blazers' plans to help keep Andre Miller (12 points, five boards) fresh this year.

Rookie Armon Johnson set his career scoring mark at 10 points in Monday's game, hitting 4-of-8 shots from the field to go with two rebounds and two assists in 12 minutes.
He will need a series of injuries to matter in fantasy leagues, although the exit of Jerryd Bayless did help him out a bit.
