Thu Aug 20 201509:59Morris suffered foot injury while training
Morris suffered a foot injury while training, and it will sideline him a few months, David Pick of Basketball Insiders reports.
Morris was waived by the Nets earlier this summer and has been a free agent ever since. There were offers from various international and NBA teams, but the reported injury acts as an impediment toward securing a deal. Miller joined the Nets last December, so it's not unlikely he could miss the beginning of the season rehabbing before securing a mid-season deal. He offers inconsequential fantasy value and can be ignored almost universally.

Morris was waived by the Nets on Monday.
The move prevents Morris' deal from becoming guaranteed in advance of Wednesday's deadline. Morris appeared in 38 games for the Nets last season, averaging 2.2 points and 1.3 assists in fewer than eight minutes per game. The reserve guard has spent time with five NBA teams since entering the league in 2011, and he'll be in search of another new home this summer.

Morris appeared in 38 games for the Nets in 2014-15, averaging 2.2 points and1.3 assists in 7.9 minutes per game.
The former Michigan standout signed on with the Nets in December, filling the roster spot vacated after the team dealt Andrei Kirilenko and Jorge Gutierrez. Morris saw the vast majority of his minutes in garbage time, but he made a cameo in the rotation while Deron Williams was injured in January. Morris played double-digit minutes in nine January games, averaging 4.1 points and 1.7 assists in 12.5 minutes per game for the month. He shot just 35.9 percent from the field and 22.7 percent from three, however. Upon Williams' return, Morris found himself glued to the bench, and he would remain in that role through the end of the regular season and into the playoffs. Heading into the offseason, Morris remains under contract with the Nets, but his deal is only partially guaranteed for next season. That means he'll have a shot to make the opening night roster, though he's among the top candidates to be waived if a roster spot needs to be opened up.

Morris (illness) was available off the bench against the Hawks in Game 2 on Wednesday but wasn't deployed onto the court.
Morris was dealing with an illness ahead of the playoffs but has apparently returned to health and should be available off the bench for coach Lionel Hollins moving forward. Although, the former Wolverine had a limited role on the team in the regular season and he's not expected to see much of the court in the playoffs, if at all.

Morris (illness) returned to practice Saturday but it's still unclear if he'll be available for Game 1 on Sunday against the Hawks, the New York Post reports.
Morris was dealing with an illness but his return to practice likely signifies that he'll be available off the bench for coach Lionel Hollins on Sunday. That said, he only averaged 7.9 minutes on the court over 38 games this season and won't likely see playing time against the Hawks unless one of the games in their series becomes lopsided.
Fri Apr 17 201513:29Morris (illness) did not practice Friday
Morris (illness) did not practice Friday.
Morris is dealing with an illness and should be considered questionable for Game 1 against the Hawks on Sunday. He figures to recover in time to play, though he won't have a major role in the postseason.
Thu Dec 11 201415:40Morris signed with Nets on Thursday
Morris signed with the Nets on Thursday, Alex Raskin of the Wall Street Journal reports.
The team parted ways with Jorge Gutierrez on Thursday, sending him to the 76ers in a trade that brought Brandon Davies to Brooklyn. Andrei Kirilenko was also involved in that deal, and it appears Morris has been tabbed as the player to take Kirilenko's spot on the roster. Morris, a former standout at Michigan, was waived by the Blazers at the end of training camp and is unlikely to hold any significant fantasy value.
Sat Oct 25 201413:19Morris waived by Trail Blazers
Morris has been waived by the Trail Blazers, the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Chris Haynes reports.
The former Wolverine will likely catch on with another professional team, but his fantasy value will be extremely limited.
Thu Aug 21 201416:15Morris signed non-guaranteed contract with Blazers on Thursday
Morris signed a non-guaranteed contract with the Blazers on Thursday, Joe Freeman of The Oregonian reports.
Morris will be handed an opportunity to land a spot on the Blazers during training camp, but the 6-5, 190 guard will have his work cut out for him with recent draft picks CJ McCollum, Will Barton, and even Allen Crabbe already on the roster. In stints with the Sixers, Clippers, and Grizzlies last year, he averaged 4.0 points (on 40.6 percent shooting), 1.6 assists, and 1.0 rebounds in 11.6 minutes across 27 games.
Tue Mar 18 201411:31Darius Morris acquired by Rio Grande Valley
Darius Morris has been acquired by the Rio Grande Valley of the D-League.
Morris had been playing with the Memphis Grizzlies as recently as February, but failed to hook on with the team for a second 10-day contract once Mike Conley returned to action. Morris wasn't much of a fantasy option when he was with the Grizzlies, so it goes without saying that his fantasy value is non-existent outside of D-League fantasy leagues.

Mon Feb 3 201412:21Grizzlies sign PG Darris Morris
Grizzlies sign PG Darius Morris.
Morris will be playing on a 10-day contract, providing some depth at PG behind Nick Calathes until Mike Conley (ankle) is ready to return. He's not worth fantasy owners' attention outside of the deepest leagues.

Thu Jan 16 201403:11Darius Morris will get another 10-day deal
Darius Morris will be signed to a second 10-day deal on Thursday.
He signed his first 10-day deal on the first day NBA teams can offer that type of deal and he'll get another look. Morris played just six minutes on Wednesday, so he might not last beyond the second 10-day. NBA teams would need to offer a guaranteed deal after two 10-day contracts.

Mon Jan 6 201420:47Darius Morris to sign with Clippers
The Clippers are expected to sign Darius Morris to a contract.
Teams can't sign players to 10-day deals until tomorrow, so they won't have him tonight. The Clippers have been using Darren Collison and Jamal Crawford at point guard with nobody behind them, so Morris will provide some emergency depth.

Mon Dec 9 201309:50Grizzlies will work out free agent guards
The Grizzlies will work out free agent Gs Darius Morris, Reggie Williams, Seth Curry and Kendall Marshall this week.
A few more D-League players may also join the workouts. Memphis is eager to add guards after Tony Allen's hip injury shifted Jerryd Bayless to the SG spot and exposed their lack of depth. No matter which player or players are signed, they're doubtful to have fantasy value.

Wed Nov 20 201317:40Darrius Morris is waived by Sixers Wednesday
Darrius Morris was waived by the Sixers on Wednesday.
He was nice Tony Wroten insurance and got some run in the last five games, averaging 9.4 points, 2.6 assists and 1.4 triples in 18 minutes over that span. Wroten has been very impressive and this move basically secures his spot in the rotation for Philly.

Sun Nov 17 201300:20Darius Morris scores 20 points in ugly loss
Darius Morris hit 6-of-9 shots and two 3-pointers off the Sixers bench for a season-high 20 points in 27 minutes of Saturday's ugly loss.
Believe it or not, that's not even a career high for Morris, who has quietly scored in double digits for the Sixers in three of their last five games, hitting nine 3-pointers in that stretch. He's seeing more run with Michael Carter-Williams out of action, but still isn't fantasy-worthy yet.

Thu Sep 12 201311:59Guard Darius Morris to sign with Sixers
Free agent guard Darius Morris is expected to sign a partially guaranteed contract with Philadelphia, make the final roster and play meaningful backcourt minutes for the depleted Sixers.
Morris chose the Sixers over the Lakers for a chance at a bigger role this season, meaning it won't be hard to build on his averages of four points and 1.6 assists last season in L.A. He might be worth a look in extremely deep fantasy leagues, but will still struggle to have value in standard 12-team leagues, unless he somehow ends up in the starting lineup for the guard-depleted Sixers. He'll likely battle James Anderson for the right to back up Evan Turner, who we have penciled in as the starting shooting guard in Philly.

Fri Jun 28 201309:27Lakers not extending QO to three players
The Lakers will not extend a qualifying offer to Darius Morris, Andrew Goudelock or Devin Ebanks.
All three players will be unrestricted free agents as a result. None come as a surprise considering how rarely they played, and the Lakers will have to shop in the bargain bin to fill out their bench. Chris Duhon is also not expected back with the team.

Sat Apr 27 201301:08Goudelock and Morris shine in loss vs. Spurs
Darius Morris scored 24 points with two boards, six assists, one steal and one 3-pointer on 9-of-15 shooting in 37 minutes of action in a 120-89 loss to the Spurs on Friday.
Morris played just 14.2 minutes per game in 48 contests for the Lakers this year, but desperate times called for desperate measures. He shot the ball extremely well tonight, which was surprising based on his season shooting of 38.8 percent from the field. The Lakers suffered the worst home loss in their history and it's safe to say they're toast in this series. Steve Nash, Steve Blake and Jodie Meeks could all miss Sunday's game and Morris could get another featured look at point guard.

Fri Apr 26 201309:17Morris, Goudelock expected to start Game 3
It is "likely" that Darius Morris and Andrew Goudelock will start a must-win Game 3 vs. the Spurs on Friday with all of the team's backcourt injuries.
The Lakers are down 0-2 in the series, and it appears they'll go to battle with their two second-round draft picks from 2011 as the starting backcourt. Neither Morris nor Goudelock is an NBA point guard, so Pau Gasol will be asked to do a great deal of facilitating. Morris has proven his worth on the defensive end at times, but he's struggled on offense, and while Goudelock was named D-League MVP, he's yet to prove he can be a real threat against bigger, stronger two-guards in the league. It could be a long night for the Lakers as the team looks to avoid falling into an 0-3 hole.
