Harrellson, who spent the 2014-15 season overseas, signed a training camp deal Tuesday with the Wizards, Yahoo's Shams Charania reports.
Harrellson recently participated on the Suns' Summer League team after spending time playing in China and Puerto Rico. The Wizards already have 15 guaranteed contracts, so the probability of Harrellson winding up on the roster after training camp is very slim. It's much more likely that he'll spend the 2015-16 season in the D-League or overseas.

Fri Feb 7 201418:41Josh Harrellson has a tear in mensiscus
Josh Harrellson has a slight tear in his left meniscus and will go through a rehab session.
He's missed the last two games with knee soreness and the Pistons have pinpointed the problem. He will likely miss an extended period of time, so the Pistons might look to change around their rotation a bit to compensate. The team shouldn't have too much of a problem replacing Harrellson's 9.9 minutes per game.

The Pistons got a lift from Josh Harrellson in Saturday's win, as he came off the bench for a season-high 10 points with two 3-pointers in just 13 minutes.
Jorts even had five rebounds, two assists and three blocks for what was easily his best line of the year. Barring some drastic and unexpected change to his nine minutes per game, however, he's persona non grata in fantasy leagues.

Wed Aug 21 201300:37Knicks sign FA big man Josh Harrellson
Pistons sign free agent PF Josh Harrellson to a two-year deal.
The man known as 'Jorts' now occupies the 15th roster spot for the Pistons, meaning they're offseason moves have likely come to an end. Harrellson was the MVP of the Chinese Basketball Association with 22 points and 18 rebounds per game last season, and previously played for the Heat in 2012, and the Knicks in 2011. He's never made much of a dent in the NBA, and with Andre Drummond, Greg Monroe and Josh Smith around, that shouldn't change this year. Ignore him, but beware that he could become a factor if Drummond has more back issues this season.

One week ago Erik Spoelstra said Harrellson would be "a big factor in what [the Heat] are doing in the future." The Heat are expected to sign another big man with the available roster spot, so Spoelstra was apparently just paying lip service to Harrellson's value.

Mon Dec 31 201209:52Spoelstra: Harrellson will be big part for us
Erik Spolestra said that Josh Harrellson will be a "big factor in what we're doing in the future."
Harrellson played about 18 minutes Saturday, his first action since November 11 and his only meaningful minutes of the season. Spoelstra liked what he saw and specifically mentioned how Harrellson can space the floor, but it's important to note that Udonis Haslem (shoulder) was out. Just keep an eye on Jorts from the waiver wire.

Josh Harrellson's contract with the Heat is non-guaranteed.
In other words, this is a no-risk signing for Miami. Harrellson, Mickell Gladness and Jarvis Varnado will compete for a roster spot, and Harrellson should be considered the heavy favorite going into training camp.

Mon Sep 17 201216:30Heat sign FA center Josh Harrellson
Heat sign C Josh Harrellson.
Jorts was traded from New York to Houston and then quickly waived, but he found a new home in Miami, where he'll provide emergency frontcourt depth behind Chris Bosh, Joel Anthony and Udonis Haslem. Details of the contract haven't been disclosed, but his signing makes it more likely that Miami will part ways with underwhelming big man Dexter Pittman, in spite of Pittman's guaranteed contract.

The Heat remain undecided on whether or not to sign unrestricted FA Josh Harrellson.
Harrellson has been brought in twice for a workout now, but Miami "is still giving thought" to signing him. The fact that the team has now seen him work out twice and remains uncertain about signing him isn't an encouraging sign, but the club is likely just doing its due diligence.
