Jan Vesely is expected to fly to Istanbul, Turkey this week to have his physical.

Sat Jul 19 201416:31Jan Vesely headed to Euroleague
Jan Vesely will sign with Fenerbah‡e šlker in the Euroleague.
It's not a surprise after he really struggled in his first three seasons in the NBA. Vesely will forever be linked to being selected over Kawhi Leonard, who was the heavy favorite to go sixth in the draft 2011 draft. Vesely shot just 33.9 percent from the line in his career.

Sat Mar 29 201404:48Jan Vesely plays 23 minutes off bench
Jan Vesely played 23 minutes in his return from a rib injury on Friday with five points, six boards and three blocks in 23 minutes.
In true Jan fashion, he shot 1-of-4 from the line tonight. If it wasn't for the woeful free throw shooting, Vesely would be in the radar in standard leagues. If you don't care about that category, he is a decent option and could see minutes in the mid 20s.

Fri Mar 28 201419:26Jan Vesely will play vs. the Spurs
Jan Vesely will play against the Spurs on Friday night.
He was listed as doubtful and now he's going to play. Vesely was expected to see the biggest bump in playing time due to J.J. Hickson's knee injury, so he could get around 20 minutes per game. Still, his free throw shooting is enough to dissuade almost any fantasy owner in a standard-style league.

Fri Mar 28 201414:17Jan Vesely listed as doubtful for Friday
Jan Vesely (ribs) is listed as doubtful to face the Spurs on Friday.
There was some optimism for him playing, but the reevaluation before Friday's shootaround must not have went well. Vesely isn't really a fantasy option due to his woeful free throw shooting, so he can be left on the wire.

Thu Mar 27 201415:40Jan Vesely (ribs) questionable for Friday
Jan Vesely (bruised ribs) practiced on Thursday and coach Brian Shaw hopes to have him available for Friday's rematch with the Spurs.
He was a game-time decision on Wednesday and it sounds like he's closer to 'probable' than 'doubtful'. Unfortunately, nothing about Vesely's role or production this season suggests he'll be a viable fantasy option even with J.J. Hickson (knee) done for the year.

Wed Mar 26 201416:59Jan Vesely a game-time call for Wednesday
Jan Vesely (ribs) is a game-time decision for Wednesday's game vs. the Spurs.
There was a report earlier today that Vesely would sit this one out due to his rib injury over the weekend, so he is a better bet to be inactive. He sat out on Monday, but did play 15 minutes on Sunday and figures to be in the rotation with J.J. Hickson (knee) out for the season. You are probably better at shooting free throws than Jan, so he can remain on the wire in standard-type leagues.

Wed Mar 26 201413:10Jan Vesely (ribs) out Wed., targeting Fri.
Jan Vesely (bruised ribs) won't play vs. the Spurs on Wednesday, though he hopes to return to action on Friday.
Vesely just gained a foothold in the rotation thanks to J.J. Hickson's season-ending surgery, but he promptly found himself also on the sidelines. Even when he's fully healthy, Vesely's lousy FT percentage and limited versatility make him a non-starter in fantasy leagues.

Tue Mar 25 201411:12No timetable for Jan Vesely's return to court
Jan Vesely (ribs) does not have a timetable and could return at any point.
Vesely became a de facto member of the Nuggets' rotation after J.J. Hickson's season-ending knee injury, but is now out nursing bruised ribs suffered during Sunday's win over the Wizards. The Nuggets have said there is no timetable for Vesely's return, but that he could return at any point. We'll consider him day-to-day until further news is available, but Vesely's fantasy value is extremely limited at this point and owners should be able to find more productive players on waivers.

Sun Mar 23 201419:56Jan Vesely leaves Sunday after rib injury
Jan Vesely joined the Nuggets' rotation on Sunday due to J.J. Hickson's season-ending knee injury, but Vesely's night ended early due to a rib injury.
Regardless of his status for Monday's game, Vesely's season-long 27.9 percent shooting at the FT line is reason enough to avoid him in eight-cat and nine-cat leagues. That's an even bigger problem since more than 85 percent of his shot attempts come from within eight feet of the hoop, leading to frequent fouls which he can't convert at the line. The waiver wire is his permanent home.

Sat Mar 22 201417:35Coach Shaw says Vesely could get more mins.
Coach Brian Shaw said on Saturday that Jan Vesely would get added minutes with J.J. Hickson (knee) out of the lineup.
Vesely has shot 30.8 percent from the line while with the Nuggets this season, which is actually up from his unfathomably bad 26.7 percent with the Wizards this year. The Nuggets frontcourt rotation has been a mess and their interior defense is among the worst in the league, so they're probably going to have to go through some systematic changes. Furthermore, Kenneth Faried and Vesely have logged the most minutes at center this month after Timofey Mozgov and Hickson. Arthur is probably the best add, but this news doesn't really help owners in standard leagues.

Fri Feb 21 201418:43Jan Vesely is available for Friday night
Jan Vesely is available to play against the Bulls on Friday.
The Nuggets frontcourt has been solid lately, so he's not a lock to play. If he does, Vesely will likely miss too many free throws to be worth using in almost any format.

Thu Feb 20 201413:08Jan Vesely goes to Denver in deal
Jan Vesely was traded to the Nuggets on Thursday.
The Wizards haven't been fans of Vesely for a couple seasons and he's famously known for being selected over Kawhi Leonard in the 2011 draft. His 26.7 percent from the line this season looks more like a batting average, so there's no reason to add him in standard-style formats. He does gain some value for the new scenery, albeit very little.

Thu Feb 20 201412:22Jan Vesely rumored to Denver
Jan Vesely could be traded to the Nuggets as part of a possible deal for Andre Miller.
The Wizards opted not to use their team option back in October, so they're obviously not tied to keeping him whatsoever. The Nuggets have been a mess up front this season, but Vesely isn't exactly an upgrade. Unless you're cutting dead weight and your deep league doesn't count free throw percentage, there's little reason to pick him up.

Sat Jan 18 201422:56Jan Vesely scores seven points in 15 minutes
Jan Vesely scored seven points with two boards and one assist in 15 minutes.
In true Vesely style, he might have shot one of the shortest-airball free throws in a very, very long time. He entered tonight shooting 25.0 percent from the line and that held steady with his 1-of-4 tonight. Trevor Booker went down with an ankle injury and he might get more playing time. Unless you want your league mates to make fun of you, we don't really suggest picking up Jan.

Wed Jan 8 201422:46Jan Vesely has third decent game in a row
Jan Vesely scored a season-high 12 points against the Pelicans on Wednesday to go with seven boards and one block in 23 minutes.
It's his third decent game in a row and he's now averaged 8.3 points, 6.3 boards, 2.3 blocks and 1.3 steals in that span. Of course, Vesely did miss both his free throw attempts and brought his season shooting to a pathetic 25.0 percent from the charity stripe. In honor of MLB Hall of Fame day, 298 MLB players had a batting average in 2013 better than Vesely's season free throw percentage right now.

Sun Jan 5 201420:30Jan Vesely solid in 16 bench minutes Sunday
Jan Vesely gave the Wizards a small spark off the bench, finishing Sunday's game with eight points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal and three blocks in just 16 minutes of action.
Randy Wittman is searching for ways to spark his team, which has lost three straight games, but Vesely has never proven to be a reliable option. It will take an injury to Trevor Booker and/or Nene to thrust Vesely into the fantasy spotlight.

Fri Nov 22 201321:08Jan Vesely suffered a lower back strain
Jan Vesely suffered a lower back strain on Friday and is probable to return.
He still hasn't made a free throw yet, but Vesely has been better on defense. Continue to ignore him in all leagues.

Mon Nov 18 201309:44Wittman happy with Jan Vesely's bench play
Randy Wittman is pleased with Jan Vesely's energetic play off the bench in the Wizards' past two games.
Vesely is averaging 3.0 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.0 steals without any turnovers. It's a welcome boost for the struggling Wizards, whose 2-7 record is partly due to ineffective play from Kevin Seraphin and injuries to Chris Singleton (foot) and Al Harrington (knee). Deep league owners should keep an eye on Vesely, while being mindful of his tenuous role and career 43.7 percent shooting at the FT line.

Wed Nov 6 201309:35Jan Vesely may crack Wizards' rotation?
Wizards coach Randy Wittman suggested that Jan Vesely will crack the rotation "when things aren't going good [for the team]."
"It could be [Wednesday], it could be down the road, but it's going to come," said Wittman. Vesely brought a personal trainer from the Czech Republic to stay with him this season, and feels he's ready to prove he belongs in the NBA, but he has yet to step on the court in a regular season game.
