Unless you want your league mates to make fun of you, we don't really suggest picking up Jan.

It's his third decent game in a row and he's now averaged 8.3 points, 6.3 boards, 2.3 blocks and 1.3 steals in that span. Of course, Vesely did miss both his free throw attempts and brought his season shooting to a pathetic 25.0 percent from the charity stripe. In honor of MLB Hall of Fame day, 298 MLB players had a batting average in 2013 better than Vesely's season free throw percentage right now.

Jan Vesely gave the Wizards a small spark off the bench, finishing Sunday's game with eight points, six rebounds, two assists, one steal and three blocks in just 16 minutes of action.

Randy Wittman is searching for ways to spark his team, which has lost three straight games, but Vesely has never proven to be a reliable option. It will take an injury to Trevor Booker and/or Nene to thrust Vesely into the fantasy spotlight.

It's a welcome boost for the struggling Wizards, whose 2-7 record is partly due to ineffective play from Kevin Seraphin and injuries to Chris Singleton (foot) and Al Harrington (knee). Deep league owners should keep an eye on Vesely, while being mindful of his tenuous role and career 43.7 percent shooting at the FT line.

Wizards coach Randy Wittman suggested that Jan Vesely will crack the rotation "when things aren't going good [for the team]."

"It could be [Wednesday], it could be down the road, but it's going to come," said Wittman. Vesely brought a personal trainer from the Czech Republic to stay with him this season, and feels he's ready to prove he belongs in the NBA, but he has yet to step on the court in a regular season game.
