Thu Feb 814:27Marcus Morris Sr., Furkan Korkmaz Traded To Pacers
Philadelphia 76ers forwards Marcus Morris Sr. and Furkan Korkmaz have been dealt to the Indiana Pacers in a money-saving type of move. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, the Pacers traded away Buddy Hield for Morris, Korkmaz, and three second-round picks because they were unable to keep Hield and Obi Toppin while staying under the cap limit. It's unclear how prominent of a role Morris and Korkmaz will play, but it seems that Morris won't be receiving the same amount of minutes as he did in Philadelphia. Neither one of them are instant adds after joining their new team, so fantasy managers can take a wait-and-see type of approach to find out where they'll fall in the rotation.

Sat Feb 310:04Marcus Morris Sr. Iffy For Saturday
Philadelphia 76ers forward/center Marcus Morris Sr. (foot) is listed as questionable for Saturday's clash with Brooklyn. The veteran could be out for a third game in a row due to left foot pain. Morris Sr. has recently played a much bigger role in Philadelphia's plans due to Joel Embiid's (knee) injury troubles. He will have his next chance to return on Monday versus Dallas if he can't play on Saturday. Mo Bamba and Kenyon Martin Jr. have been the main frontcourt backups with Morris Sr. out. They haven't been very effective players from a fantasy perspective.

Sat Jan 2709:24Marcus Morris Sr. Likely To Return Saturday
Philadelphia 76ers forward/center Marcus Morris Sr. (foot) looks ready to return on Saturday against the Nuggets, as the team considers him probable for the game. The veteran has sat out a pair of contests with plantar fasciitis in his left foot. Morris has averaged 16.3 minutes off the bench this season, scoring 6.3 points while grabbing 2.9 rebounds. He shouldn't be on fantasy managers' radars, but the injury-hit Sixers will be happy to get a healthy body back.

Wed Nov 22 202320:08Marcus Morris Sr. Gets Starting Nod
Philadelphia 76ers forward Marcus Morris Sr. will move into the starting five ahead of Wednesday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. The Sixers are without superstar big man Joel Embiid (hip) for Wednesday's game. They've elected to go with Morris in the starting five over Paul Reed. It remains to be seen how head coach Nick Nurse splits up the playing time. Despite playing off the bench, Reed is likely going to get significant playing time and appears to be the more appealing streaming choice.

Sat Oct 28 202321:25Marcus Morris Sr. To Remain Out On Sunday
Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris Sr. (rest) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. The veteran forward is a healthy scratch here as the Clippers have decided to sit Morris. It sounds like Morris isn't going to play with the team mostly healthy right now. Possibly, Morris gets into games once Kawhi Leonard gets his routine rest days, but that's not enough to warrant rostering Morris in any fantasy formats.

Tue Oct 17 202321:19Marcus Morris Sr. Won't Suit Up On Tuesday
Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris Sr. (undisclosed) has been ruled out for Tuesday's preseason game against the Denver Nuggets. It's uncertain if Morris is sitting out due to his lingering groin issue or if this is just a routine rest day. Regardless, the veteran forward will miss this game, but will hopefully return for Thursday's preseason matchup. Morris will have plenty of competition this season with Robert Covington and Nicolas Batum still in the mix at power forward. He'll be a low-end fantasy option at best heading into the regular season.

Thu Oct 12 202315:33Marcus Morris Sr. Not Practicing Thursday
Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris Sr. (groin) won't participate in Thursday's practice but is improving in his recovery from a left groin strain. Morris has sat out LA's first two preseason games with the injury, but it's promising to hear he's making progress. The 34-year-old's next chance to suit back up for the Clippers doesn't arrive until Tuesday's exhibition versus the Denver Nuggets, so he has some extra time to mend. Though Morris isn't on most fantasy radars at this time, the veteran could occupy a starting role for head coach Tyronn Lue this year. Terance Mann and Robert Covington should remain names to watch at the end of fantasy drafts for as long as Morris is out.

Sat Sep 23 202307:54Marcus Morris Sr. Set To Remain A Starter In New Season
Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris Sr. is expected to remain a starter for the team in the 2023-24 campaign. Law Murray of The Athletic has noted that the 12-year veteran will remain in the starting unit until he is "moved or declared replaced." The Clippers tried to trade Morris Sr. in the summer, and he was part of an attempted three-team trade involving Kristaps Porzingis going to Boston before it fell apart. The 34-year-old is entering the final season of his contract and will be paid $17.1 million for his services in 2023-24.

Wed Jul 5 202309:54Clippers "Looking For New Home" For Marcus Morris Sr.
According to Jared Weiss of The Athletic, the Los Angeles Clippers are "looking for a new home" for Marcus Morris Sr. The veteran has had a largely effective three-and-a-half seasons with the team, but his form dipped a bit in 2022-23 and Morris Sr. even ended up getting moved to the bench. The 33-year-old was reportedly unhappy with the decision, so it's possible Morris Sr. himself is hoping for a change of scenery as well. He's on an expiring contract worth a little over $17 million in 2023-24.

Mon Jun 19 202322:01Marcus Morris Sr. Unhappy With Role Change
Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris Sr. was reportedly unhappy with his role. More specifically, the Clippers' decision to bench him in favor of Nicolas Batum at the end of the year. Even though the forward has more left in the tank, he saw a decline in production last season. This was one of the reasons that sparked the late-season lineup change. Morris averaged 11.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 65 games last season. The Clippers will look for ways to improve moving ahead, but it could be very difficult. They are already in a tough spot financially, so they could look to move Morris, who is due $17.1 million in 2023-24.
Sat Apr 15 202322:07Marcus Morris Sr. Off The Injury Report
Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris Sr. (back) isn't on the injury report ahead of the series opener against Phoenix. Head coach Ty Lue reported on Friday that Morris is healthy. However, his omission from the injury report confirms he'll be available for Game 1. With that said, the 33-year-old hasn't played since the end of March, so he may be limited. Then again, even if Morris plays fewer minutes than usual, he's still worthy of DFS consideration on Sunday.

Wed Apr 12 202321:42Marcus Morris Sr. Practices On Wednesday
Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris Sr. (back) was able to participate during Wednesday's practice session. That is great news considering Morris has missed the last seven games due to back spasms. At the moment, Morris should be considered questionable for Sunday's Game 1 against the Phoenix Suns. If healthy, Morris is likely to move back into the starting five for this contest. Otherwise, Nicolas Batum would likely start and have increased fantasy value.

Wed Apr 5 202322:00Marcus Morris Sr. Won't Suit Up Versus Lakers
Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris Sr. (back) has been ruled out for Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Lakers. He has cleared the league's health and safety protocols, but is now dealing with back spasms. The 33-year-old has been falling out of the rotation for quite some time. In his absence, Nicolas Batum will move into the starting five for this important game versus the Lakers. Batum could have some low-end streaming appeal for this game.

Tue Apr 4 202322:13Marcus Morris Sr. Questionable With Back Spasms
Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris Sr. (back) is questionable to play Wednesday against the Los Angeles Lakers. Morris has finally cleared the league's health and safety protocols, but is now dealing with spasms in his lower back. Morris was reportedly being pushed out of the rotation before going into protocols so it remains to be seen if he will have a role whenever he returns.

Tue Mar 28 202318:50Marcus Morris Sr. In Protocols, Remains Out Wednesday
Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris Sr. (protocols) has been ruled out Wednesday versus the Memphis Grizzlies. Morris will miss a second straight game as he remains in the league's health and safety protocols. Regardless of his status, it has been reported Morris has lost his starting job once he returns to the lineup. Nicolas Batum will start moving forward while Robert Covington should finally reenter the rotation.

Mon Mar 27 202318:25Marcus Morris Sr. Sitting Out On Monday
Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris Sr. (illness) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Chicago Bulls. The 33-year-old is dealing with a non-COVID related illness, so the team will play it safe and have Morris sit this game out. His absence should mean that Nicolas Batum and Robert Covington get extended playing time. However, it probably won't be enough to make either player a reliable streaming choice.

Thu Mar 2 202321:14Marcus Morris Sr. To Miss Thursday's Game
Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris Sr. (elbow) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against the Golden State Warriors. The veteran forward has been a consistent option for the Clippers this season, but will miss this game due to an elbow contusion. The Clippers have decided to start Eric Gordon in Thursday's game. This move should mean more scoring chances for Gordon, which gives him some streaming appeal. Nicolas Batum should see more playing time as well, but Gordon is the better option between the two.

Thu Mar 2 202318:41Marcus Morris Sr. Could Miss Thursday's Game
Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris Sr. (elbow) has been added to the injury report ahead of Thursday's game against the Golden State Warriors. Morris has been a consistent starter for the Clippers this season. However, he hasn't offered much upside in terms of fantasy value. His absence would likely mean increased roles for both Nicolas Batum and Terance Mann. Whichever player gets the starting nod would be the better streaming option for Thursday's slate. Fantasy managers will have to check back closer to tip-off for more information.

Thu Feb 2 202321:21Marcus Morris Sr. Cleared For Thursday
Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris Sr. (rib) has been cleared to play in Thursday's game against the Milwaukee Bucks. He'll make his return to the court after a four-game absence. His return means that Luke Kennard heads back to the bench where he'll have less streaming appeal. The rest of the Clippers four starters remain unchanged for Thursday's matchup. Fantasy managers should make sure to get Morris back in their lineups.

Wed Feb 1 202318:07Marcus Morris Sr. Iffy For Thursday
Los Angeles Clippers forward Marcus Morris Sr. (rib) is once again questionable to play Thursday against the Milwaukee Bucks. Morris continues to miss time with a rib contusion after being listed as questionable for the past several games. Given that Morris is still questionable, there is not much optimism in his availability. If Morris remains out, Luke Kennard should continue to start, with Norman Powell seeing extra usage off the bench as well.
