Mon Mar 1120:01Klay Thompson Starting On Monday
Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson will move into the starting lineup ahead of Monday's game against the San Antonio Spurs. The veteran guard will make his return to the starting lineup on Monday. His return will shift Brandin Podziemski to the second unit, but he should play a large role off the bench. Thompson has finished with 25 points or more in two straight games. Fantasy managers might want to ride the hot hand on Monday and go with Thompson.

Fri Feb 1610:02Klay Thompson Knocks Down Seven Threes Against Jazz
Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson came off of the bench in the three-point victory over the Utah Jazz on Thursday and he led the team in scoring while only playing 28 minutes. The veteran sharpshooter finished with 35 points on 13-for-22 shooting and 7-for-13 from beyond the arc. He also chipped in six rebounds and two assists while registering zero turnovers. Thompson has been on a crazy rollercoaster ride of a season that has now turned him into a bench player instead of their starting shooting guard. If he can continue knocking down threes and providing sparks off of the bench, it shouldn't affect his fantasy value too much. His inconsistencies are something that can get frustrated though.

Thu Feb 1520:56Klay Thompson Heads To The Bench
Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson will play with the second unit during Thursday's game against the Utah Jazz. The Warriors have elected to have the struggling guard come off the bench for at least this game. Brandin Podziemski will get the starting nod in place of Thompson. Podziemski has played well recently and is worth looking at in standard leagues. Thompson should still be able to carry value off the bench, but his ceiling will be limited.

Thu Feb 122:28Klay Thompson Will Play On Friday
Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson (illness) was able to participate in practice on Thursday. The veteran guard missed Tuesday's game due to an illness but appears ready to get back on the court. Thompson is expected to return after a one-game absence for Friday's game against the Memphis Grizzlies. The return of Thompson should shift Brandin Podziemski back to the bench. Podziemski still has some streaming appeal off the bench but is more of a deep league option.

Tue Jan 3021:45Klay Thompson Ruled Out On Tuesday
Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson (illness) has been ruled out ahead of Tuesday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. Thompson wasn't on the original injury report but will miss this game due to an illness. His absence means that Brandin Podziemski will shift into the starting five. Podziemski has seen a bigger role lately and is worth streaming with the Warriors shorthanded for this game.

Sun Dec 3 202322:36Klay Thompson, Warriors Contract Talks "Dormant"
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, contract talks between the Warriors and guard Klay Thompson remain "dormant." Wojnarowski also added that extension discussions likely won't intensify until after the 2023-24 campaign. Thompson is eligible for a four-year, $220 million extension. But the 33-year-old has battled countless injuries over the years. Additionally, he's having a down season, averaging 15.7 points and shooting a career-low 36.1% from behind the arc. All things considered, it's hard to imagine Thompson playing for another team. However, his fantasy stock continues to fall, which is the immediate concern for managers in all formats.

Wed Nov 15 202309:20Klay Thompson Ejected From Tuesday's Game
Golden State Warriors guard/forward Klay Thompson had a very brief day at the office on Tuesday against Minnesota, receiving two technical fouls and an ejection with less than two minutes into the game. He got involved in an altercation with Timberwolves forward Jaden McDaniels, who was also tossed from the game, along with Draymond Green. The Warriors lineup was very thin following the incident, with Stephen Curry (knee) already out. Rookie Brandin Podziemski took advantage of the situation and produced a nice 23-point performance off the bench in 39 minutes. Warriors head coach Steve Kerr ended up using seven guys off the pine, and each one logged at least 10 minutes of action. Despite the big guns missing for Golden State, the team still almost pulled off a victory, falling 104-101 in the end due to a poor fourth quarter.

Sun Nov 5 202315:22Klay Thompson Might Miss Sunday's Game
Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson (groin) is questionable ahead of Sunday's meeting with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He's battling an adductor strain. But with the Warriors also playing on Monday, Thompson may sit out at least one of the games. If that's the case, Chris Paul, who is averaging 12.0 points, 10.5 assists, and 2.5 steals in two starts this season, would likely fill the void caused by Thompson's absence.

Wed Nov 1 202320:34Klay Thompson Will Play On Wednesday
Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson (knee) will play during Wednesday's game against the Sacramento Kings. This is good news after Thompson was uncertain for this contest due to right knee soreness. The expectation is that he'll start in his normal role and shouldn't be limited at all. Fantasy managers can go ahead and get Thompson back in their lineups ahead of this game.

Wed Nov 1 202309:49Klay Thompson Expected Back On Wednesday
Golden State Warriors guard/forward Klay Thompson (knee) has been listed as probable for Wednesday's matchup against Sacramento. He missed his first game of the season Monday versus New Orleans when the Warriors completed their first back-to-back of the year. The veteran sniper is on the injury report with right knee soreness, but he was likely kept out of action only for load management reasons. Thompson hasn't done anything spectacular thus far in 2023-24, but he has had an important part in the team's 3-1 start by averaging 17.3 points with 40 percent shooting from deep. Three-point shooting played a big part in Golden State's 122-114 victory against the Kings last week, with Thompson finishing 2-for-4 from deep during an 18-point performance.

Mon Oct 30 202315:33Klay Thompson Questionable Against Pelicans
Golden State Warriors guard/forward Klay Thompson (knee) is listed as questionable for Monday's game against the New Orleans Pelicans due to right knee soreness. Monday is the second leg of back-to-back games for the Warriors, so it wouldn't be all too surprising to see them keep the 33-year-old Thompson out of the contest. The five-time All-Star has looked sharp through 2023-24's first three games, averaging 17.3 points and 3.3 three-pointers on 40% shooting from deep. Chris Paul would be a candidate to re-enter head coach Steve Kerr's starting five if Thompson is held out, while Moses Moody and Gary Payton II likely pick up more minutes in this scenario.

Sat Oct 28 202309:39Klay Thompson Not Shying Away From Back-To-Backs
Golden State guard/forward Klay Thompson plans to play "as many games as he can" during the 2023-24 NBA season. The veteran's health issues have always been a hot topic because of his injury issues, and he didn't play in any back-to-backs for four years before being available again for two games in two nights in February. The Warriors have this season's first back-to-back set starting on Sunday against Houston, and it looks like fantasy managers won't have to worry about Thompson's availability. The five-time All-Star has had a quiet start to the campaign, averaging 16.5 points with 33.3 percent shooting from deep and recording 5.0 rebounds with 3.5 assists.

Mon Oct 16 202309:25Klay Thompson's Future In Doubt As Extension Talks Stall
Golden State Warriors guard/forward Klay Thompson hasn't made any progress with the team in his extension talks, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. "I'm told that there has been absolutely no progress on a Klay Thompson extension in Golden State, that they are still apart on years and money," Wojnarowski said on NBA Countdown Sunday. "There's a very real possibility Klay Thompson goes into free agency next summer without a deal." Thompson is heading to the final season of a five-year, $189.9 million contract, which pays him $43.2 million in 2023-24. The Warriors have previously been confident that they can keep their dynasty core together for a few more seasons, but it's not looking so certain anymore.

Tue Oct 3 202321:19Klay Thompson To Guard Power Forwards At Times
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr expects guard/forward Klay Thompson to defend power forwards while on the floor with the team's current starting five. With Draymond Green (ankle) sidelined several weeks due to an ankle sprain, Kerr's decision to include the incoming Chris Paul in the starting lineup of Saturday's preseason opener likely became a cinch. However, it's a bit of a surprise to hear Kerr assign Thompson defensive duties at the 4 with Andrew Wiggins having spent a considerable chunk of minutes there during his Warriors career. Thompson's defensive versatility should see him switch on that end as much as any wing, so guarding players with more size on occasion shouldn't curtail his longevity. The three-and-D extraordinaire remains a worthy top-100 selection in upcoming fantasy drafts.

Sun Sep 3 202309:05Warriors Want To Lock Up Klay Thompson For The Rest Of His Career
Golden State Warriors guard/forward Klay Thompson is about to enter the final year of his contract, but he should have no issues securing a new long-term deal with the team. According to Warriors owner Joe Lacob, there have already been some brief discussions on an extension, and he is very much interested in keeping Thompson for as long as possible. "We love him and I know he knows we love him. And we're going to try to do something here for the rest of his career," Lacob told Tim Kawakami of The Athletic. Thompson has spent his entire NBA career with the Warriors, helping the team to four championships while averaging 19.8 points on 41.6 percent three-point shooting. The 33-year-old enjoyed one of his best campaigns last season with a 21.9-point scoring average and a career-high 4.1 rebounds.

Mon May 22 202311:50Who's the Greatest Golden State Warrior? Ranking the Top 10 Greatest Warriors Players of All Time
Younger basketball fans recognize the Golden State Warriors dominating run during the late 2010s and early 2020s. They've won four NBA championships, including back-to-back titles in 2017 and 2018. Their 2022 championship run is also the stuff of legends after finishing third in the Western Conference before defeating the Boston Celtics in six games. However, the franchise's history is more than this dynasty. They are one of the original members of the Basketball Association of America, the predecessor of the National Basketball Association. Back then, they were known as the Philadelphia Warriors. But in 1962, Franklin Mieuli moved the team to California after becoming the team's majority owner. They were known as the San Francisco Warriors until they switched to the state's official nickname in 1971. Several NBA players who donned the team's uniform became legends and Hall of Famers. But here are the best competitors who have proudly represented the Dubs.

Honorable Mention: Al Attles

https://twitter.com/AfricanArchives/status/1529588451879931904Alvin Austin Attles Jr. may not have the impressive stats that other players on this list had. He only averaged 8.9 points per game in 11 years. However, it's hard to undermine his impact on the franchise. After playing his entire NBA career with the Warriors franchise, he also served as the team's head coach and general manager.Attles is also one of the team's ambassadors since 1987. He has worked for the organization in official capacities for over six decades. No wonder it was easy for the franchise to retire his number 16 jersey, one of only seven numbers the Warriors have on the rafters as of the 2022-23 NBA season.

10. Tim Hardaway

But Timothy Duane Hardaway Sr. is more than just a point guard with slick ball-handling skills. The Warriors drafted him 14th overall in the 1989 NBA Draft, and he became an instant sensation after being named to the 1990 NBA All-Rookie First Team. During his seven-year stint with Golden State, he became a three-time All-Star and a 1992 All-NBA Second Team member.

9. Chris Mullin

He played for the Warriors until 1997, becoming a five-time NBA All-Star. Mullin was also a 1992 All-NBA First Team member. This member of the high-octane "Run TMC" trio in the early 90s also made it to the All-NBA Second Team in 1989 and 1991. The Warriors have retired Mullin's number 17 jersey.

Sun May 7 202310:18Klay Thompson Cools Off In Game 3 Against Lakers
Golden State Warriors guard/forward Klay Thompson had a poor shooting night and committed six turnovers in Saturday's Game 3 loss to the Lakers. After hitting 8-for-11 in the previous game, Thompson was only 3-for-9 with the three-ball and finished 5-for-14 overall from the field during a 15-point performance. It's only the second time in these playoffs Thompson has finished with fewer than 20 points. He completed his line with seven rebounds, one steal and one block. The veteran sniper will look to produce a bounce-back performance in Monday's Game 4.

Fri May 5 202309:21Klay Thompson Takes Control In Game 2
Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson stepped up and delivered during Thursday's Game 2 against the Los Angeles Lakers. The Warriors desperately needed a win after going down 1-0 in the series. Thompson played well, finishing with 30 points on 11-of-18 shooting, three rebounds, an assist and eight triples. It's worth noting that Thompson has only scored 30 points once in his last 20 games, dating back to the regular season. The Lakers had no answers for Thompson, so we'll see if they make an adjustment heading into Game 3.

Sun Apr 16 202318:36Klay Thompson Expects Max Extension This Summer
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Golden State Warriors guard Klay Thompson expects a max contract extension this summer. The 33-year-old averaged 21.9 points and shot 41.2% from deep this season (69 games), so he's certainly worth it from a production standpoint. However, he's battled injuries over the years and has missed more than enough time during his career. The Dubs are focused on the postseason meeting with the Kings, meaning this story should lose momentum. But as soon as Golden State's season is finished, things will pick back up.
