Buycks played in four games for the Lakers at the Las Vegas Summer League, indicating that his fractured right hand has healed over the offseason.
Buycks was playing on a 10-day contract with the Lakers at the end of the season and ended up breaking his right hand with just two games left in the regular season. He is rumored to be of interest to the Lakers for this coming season, but regardless of where Buycks signs, he's unlikely to earn enough minutes to be of use in standard fantasy leagues.

Buycks signed a 10-day contract with the Lakers in April and played in just six games, averaging 8.7 points, 1.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists over 21 minutes per game in that time.
Bucks spent almost the entire 2014-15 season as a free agent looking for work. His opportunity came when the Lakers signed him after most of their backcourt players were sidelined till season's end. He, however, ended up joining them on the sideline after suffering from a fracture in his hand, causing him to miss the final two games of the regular season. He was signed along with fellow Marquette alum Vander Blue, and will once again be looking for work next season. In total, Buycks has just played in 20 NBA games, and unless another team decides to sign him to a 10-day deal, it is very possible that he may have played in his last.
Mon Apr 13 201500:37Buycks will miss final two games of season
Buycks will miss the final two games of the season, after suffering a fracture in his right hand during Sunday's loss to the Mavericks, Mark Medina of the LA Daily News reports.
The Lakers have been using an eight-man rotation, and they lost both Buycks and Wesley Johnson (ankle) in Sunday's game. That leaves the team with just two healthy guards, while Ryan Kelly is the only healthy player with any experience as a small forward. The Lakers don't have much time to figure this all out, with their next game scheduled for Monday in Sacramento. They'll presumably have to sign at least one guard or small forward, but the real brunt of the workload will likely fall on Kelly, Jordan Clarkson and Jabari Brown, all of whom have already consistently been getting 35-plus minutes. With Kelly getting more of his minutes as a small forward, there should be more playing time available for Tarik Black, Robert Sacre and Ed Davis. The Lakers might also consider letting Jordan Hill and/or Carlos Boozer back into the rotation.
Fri Apr 3 201521:59Buycks signed 10-day contract with Lakers on Friday
Buycks signed a 10-day contract with the Lakers on Friday.
Buycks' last experience in the NBA came in 2013-14, when he averaged 3.1 points and 1.6 rebounds in 10 minutes per game with the Raptors. He'll get another audition for a NBA club over the next week or two, but would need to display something worthwhile to keep himself on the roster beyond that.
Fri Jul 25 201409:45Dwight Buycks heads to Spain
Dwight Buycks will play for Valencia in Spain next season.
He was getting some interest from NBA teams, but it makes some sense for Buycks to go overseas. He's a high-usage rate guy, ranking first in the 2013 Las Vegas Summer League in 2013 and in the top five in 2014.

Sat Jul 19 201418:29Raptors waive Dwight Buycks
Raptors waive G Dwight Buycks.
His contract would have been guaranteed in a couple days and there was really no way they'd be bringing him back after picking up Lou Williams from the Hawks. Buycks was a terrific guard in summer league last year, but just couldn't get anything going in the past calendar year. He's almost certainly going overseas next year.

Mon Jan 13 201416:49Dwight Buycks back up for Monday
The Raptors called up Dwight Buycks for Monday's game vs. Milwaukee.
He was marvelous in Las Vegas Summer League and led all players in points and assists per game, but it hasn't quite translated to playing in the big leagues yet. Buycks can be left on the wire in every league.

Fri Jan 3 201416:33Dwight Buycks going down to the D-League
Dwight Buycks has been assigned to the D-League by the Raptors.
The Raptors are suddenly playoff contenders and they might not be so willing to deal Kyle Lowry for a draft pick. Buycks was a superstar in Las Vegas Summer League as the top scorer, but it hasn't translated to a high level of play in the NBA. He will likely put up some big numbers with the Bakersfield Jam.

Tue Nov 26 201323:00Dwight Buycks returns from personal issue
Dwight Buycks returned to the lineup on Tuesday and had three points, one rebound, one assist and one turnover in six minutes.
He was away from the team for personal reasons and wasn't with the team for Friday's game. Buycks basically got his contract from a stellar summer league with the Thunder, but the transition to playing with the big boys hasn't gone all that smoothly.

Fri Nov 22 201311:39Dwight Buycks (personal) out for Friday night
Dwight Buycks (personal reasons) is away from the team and will miss Friday's game against the Wizards.
Buycks has been the primary backup to Kyle Lowry for the last six games, but is only averaging 3.1 points and 0.6 assists in his 11.4 minutes per game thus far. It's unclear whether D.J. Augustin or Juylan Stone will backup Kyle Lowry Friday night, but neither one warrants any fantasy consideration.

Tue Nov 5 201317:34Dwight Buycks stuck on Raptors' inactive list
Rookie PG Dwight Buycks is on the Raptors' inactive list again for Tuesday's game.
He was battling D.J. Augustin for the backup PG job during the preseason but obviously didn't win, as thus far he's been watching from the bench as Augustin averages 13 minutes per game.

Tue Oct 15 201318:42Casey says backup PG depends on matchups
Dwane Casey said his backup point guard will depend on the matchups.
Casey said he likes Dwight Buycks and feels that the team stole him when they signed him to a contract in July. D.J. Augustin is a more proven player, but he hasn't been capable of running an offense for a while. Neither are worthy of selection in standard leagues, but Buycks makes more sense for deeper leagues.

Sat Oct 12 201309:43D.J. Augustin, Dwight Buycks vie for minutes
D.J. Augustin and rookie Dwight Buycks are still battling for the Raptors' backup PG job.
"It's close," said Dwane Casey. "They're different types of guards, both of them bring something different to the table that we need. It's probably going to be nip and tuck with those two guys all year, depending on the match-up." One or the other could have temporary value if Kyle Lowry gets hurt at some point, but in the meantime fantasy owners should avoid this "nip and tuck" backup position battle.

Thu Jul 25 201313:26Dwane Casey excited about Dwight Buycks
Dwane Casey said that he's impressed by Dwight Buycks and that he's excited to have him on the team.
What's not to like? He led Las Vegas Summer League in points and assists while doing it in a eye-catching, aggressive fashion. He's going to compete with D.J. Augustin for the backup point guard job, and since we've already seen DJA's ceiling, it's hard to count out Buycks for that gig. Tue Jul 23 201310:02Dwight Buycks earns rave reviews in Las Vegas
DeMar DeRozan praised Dwight Buycks after he lit up the Summer League, and the Raptors are likely to give him backup PG minutes this season.
"He's tough," said DeRozan. "He really showed how aggressive he is with the ball in his hands. He can get to the basket, find teammates and everything." The 6'3", 190 pound guard played for Gravelines in France last season, where he scored 18.0 points per game and shot 38.4 percent from downtown. Like most rookie guards, he'll need to improve defensively while limiting his turnovers (3.2 per game last year vs. 2.9 assists).

Thu Jul 18 201320:25Dwight Buycks double-doubles Thursday
Dwight Buycks posted a double-double against the Nuggets on Thursday with 18 points and 10 assists, while adding six boards, one steal and one 3-pointer on 6-of-11 shooting in 34 minutes.
He's a fun player with his fearlessness and creativity. Buycks got to the rack a lot on Thursday and he'll even try to get some rebounds against some bigger opponents. He had a big week in Orlando with the Thunder, then the Raptors picked him up and are letting show what he can do in Vegas. The Raptors did sign D.J. Augustin, so the minutes might not be there for Buycks right off the bat. We'll track his progress, though.
