G Orlando Johnson signed a 10-day contract on Wednesday afternoon and was in the starting lineup Wednesday night after Norris Cole was scratched with a sore back. Johnson was clearly in over his head and was a big reason why the Hornets raced to a quick lead. Thu Feb 20 201422:15Pacers waive Orlando Johnson
Pacers waive G Orlando Johnson.
The team had to make a cut because they acquired two players and only lost one at the deadline. Johnson was basically Danny Granger insurance this season, so the move makes a lot of sense. He may be picked up by another team.

Wed Oct 30 201313:03Orlando Johnson carving out bench role
Pacers G/F Orlando Johnson logged 15 minutes off the bench on Tuesday, scoring nine points with one 3-pointer and one rebound.
Paul George and Lance Stephenson will dominate minutes on the wing for Indiana, but Danny Granger's season-opening calf injury has opened up a small role for Johnson and rookie Solomon Hill (eight minutes). "Rasual Butler and Chris Copeland are still options at the wing spot," said coach Frank Vogel, "but we're going to go with [Johnson and Hill]."

Sat Sep 7 201309:34Orlando Johnson loses weight, eyes big role
Pacers guard Orlando Johnson lost 10 pounds this summer.
Johnson averaged 12 minutes per game as a rookie and he's eager to carve out a bigger role this season. "I'm more explosive, quicker and I just feel really good out there," said Johnson. "The game is feeling a lot more fluid. I've worked a lot on my pick-and-roll sets and stuff like that just to be an extra ball handler out there and be able to make some plays." Even with a few extra minutes per game, OJ won't be a fantasy option in standard leagues.

Orlando Johnson hit 5-of-8 shots and two 3-pointers for 12 points, three rebounds and two assists in Wednesday's win.
This was his first double-digits scoring night in his last nine games, meaning it was a fluke. Tyler Hansbrough couldn't get it going off the bench, and OJ took advantage of some extra minutes.

Sat Feb 23 201323:12Orlando Johnson returns to obscurity vs. DET
Orlando Johnson, who scored 15 points on Friday, finished Saturday's game with just two points in 11 minutes.
