C Robert Sacre started in place of Hibbert and played 15 scoreless minutes.

Sacre had his 2015-16 salary guaranteed by the Lakers, the LA Times reports.

Sacre's contract was guaranteed as of July 1, but since then, the Lakers have added Roy Hibbert and Brandon Bass to their frontcourt. While Sacre is a great towel waiver, he's never put up mind-blowing production, even when given considerable minutes. Through 18 games as a starter last season, Sacre averaged 6.3 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.2 assists, 0.7 steals, and 0.8 blocks in 22 minutes per game. Even extrapolating those numbers with extra minutes wouldn't make Sacre terribly relevant, which makes him inconsequential even on those rare occasions when he does get a lot of run.

Sacre is expected to have his team option for the 2015-16 season picked up by the Lakers, Shams Charania of RealGM reports.

While Sacre is probably an eighth or ninth man, at best, he proved to be a valuable rotation piece last season while earning praise for his attitude and defensive abilities. Sacre averaged just 4.6 points and 3.5 rebounds, but he was called the team's hardest worker and best defender by former coach Mike D'Antoni. Bringing the 60th pick in the 2012 draft back won't cost the Lakers much, as Sacre's deal is guaranteed for only $981,348 in 2015-16.

Sacre appeared in a career-high 67 games for the Lakers this season and finished with averages of 4.6 points and 2.2 rebounds over 17 minutes. This season was his last under a guaranteed contract, and the Lakers will have to decide if they want to exercise their 2015-16 team option for Sacre this offseason.

Sacre saw more court time this season than any other, as he benefit from being part of an underperforming Laker's frontcourt. His most productive stretch came in the month of March, where he averaged a season-high 22 minutes and scored in double figures in five of 10 games over the course of the month. But, overall, Sacre proved to be rather ineffective on offense for the most part, as he shot just 41 percent from the field for the season despite most of his shots taking place near the rim. Now, while the Lakers may exercise Sacre's team option just so they can have frontcourt depth for a cheap price, there is a chance they do not, and Sacre may struggle to find work this offseason if that is the case.

Sacre will move to the bench for Sunday's game against the Mavericks, the Los Angeles Daily News reports.

Sacre will give way to Tarik Black at center Sunday. Coach Byron Scott has changed his starting lineup many times over the course of the season so it's entirely possible for Sacre to get back into the starting lineup down the road.

It's unclear whether Sacre, who played 11 minutes in Sunday's win over Boston, will miss any time, but the Lakers are expected to issue a statement later Monday, at which point a further update will be available. At this point, Sacre should be considered questionable for Wednesday's game in Utah.

This performance from Sacre is a deviation from the norm for him. His minutes are primarily the result of Carlos Boozer's absence. Don't expect another performance like this from Sacre, but anticipate that he will get more minutes now that the Lakers frontline consists of him, Ed Davis, and Jordan Hill.

In those minutes, Sacra was largely ineffective, averaging 5.0 points and a paltry 1.0 rebounds on 44 percent shooting and has value only in leagues where the active player pool numbers in excess of 300.

Sacre had his best outing of the preseason, scoring 12 points (5-9 FG, 2-2 FT) with five rebounds, two assists, and one block in 27 minutes Sunday in the blowout loss to the Golden State Warriors.

Sacre has appeared buried behind Jordan Hill and Ed Davis at center, but with Davis sitting out, he got the chance for some extra run, as was productive in doing so. He's hard to look toward in standard fantasy leagues due to the opportunities (or lack thereof) afforded him.

While D'Antoni may love Sacre's effort, it's anyone's guess as to when he'll get extended minutes, making him too unpredictable for fantasy relevance.

Jordan Hill took his spot in the starting lineup and promptly scored a career-high 28 points, so it's safe to say Sacre isn't getting his job back. He's barely made a dent in fantasy leagues this season and is an unlikely source of value even if Pau Gasol (dizziness) misses games.

He did not start the second half of this game as a hot Jordan Hill took over next to Paul Gasol. Sacre's primary asset is as a pick-and-roll big man and the Lakers did have an impressive 32 assists as a team tonight, but his role is just too unpredictable to be counted on his most formats.
