Mon Feb 28 202217:56Tomas Satoransky Signs With The Wizards
The Washington Wizards have officially signed point guard Tomas Satoransky, who agreed to a buyout with the San Antonio Spurs this past week. The Wizards will be Satoransky's third team this season as he began the year with the New Orleans Pelicans, who sent him to the Spurs in the three-team deal that landed the franchise C.J. McCollum. Satoransky will compete with Raul Neto and Ish Smith for minutes at the point in Washington. Satoransky could wind up earning the starting role for the team, which makes him a decent stash for any deep league managers in need of help with assists.

Sat Feb 26 202215:23Tomas Satoransky Agrees To Buyout With Spurs
San Antonio Spurs guard Tomas Satoransky has agreed to a buyout with the organization. He was traded to San Antonio at the trade deadline, but doesn't have much of a role on the rebuilding Spurs roster. That being said, Satoransky is leaving San Antonio and is expected to sign with the Washington Wizards. His best seasons of his career came as a member of the Wizards. Satoransky appears to be an upgrade over Raul Neto and Ish Smith. He's worth monitoring in most formats and is likely worth snagging right away in deep leagues.

Fri Nov 19 202120:23Tomas Satoransky To Start On Friday
New Orleans Pelicans guard Tomas Satoransky will move into the starting five for Friday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. It was announced that Devonte' Graham (foot) has been ruled out for this game. It wouldn't be surprising to see Graham miss more than one game due to this issue. In the meantime, Satoransky will start and be a favorable streaming option. Kira Lewis Jr. should see more minutes as well, but Satoransky is the much better fantasy target here.

Wed Oct 20 202113:50Tomas Satoransky To Possibly Sit Out Wednesday
New Orleans Pelicans guard Tomas Satoransky (illness) is listed as questionable for Wednesday's season opener against the Philadelphia 76ers. This is not a COVID-related illness, so fantasy managers don't need to worry. Although, Satoransky's absence would mean more minutes for Kira Lewis Jr. Devonte' Graham and Nickeil Alexander-Walker. Graham has the highest upside out of the trio and could be a sneaky DFS option with additional playing time.

Mon Aug 2 202122:35Tomas Satoransky Moving To New Orleans
Guard Tomas Satoransky is heading to the Pelicans after he was included in a deal that sent Lonzo Ball to Chicago. The 29-year-old has a chance to see an uptick in production in New Orleans after he's had flashes of inconsistent efficiency over the years. He averaged 9.3 points, 6.1 assists, and 1.2 steals throughout 18 starts during the 2020-21 campaign, but if given a more prominent role in his new home, he has the potential to be a sneaky fantasy option with a higher ceiling than most realize.

Sun May 16 202121:46Bucks hold Antetokounmpo, Middleton out of finale
CHICAGO (AP) — Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo was a late scratch from the Milwaukee Bucks’ lineup with the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference out of reach, and Khris Middleton missed the regular-season finale against the Chicago Bulls because of lingering soreness in his left ankle. The Brooklyn Nets beat the Cleveland Cavaliers to secure the second seed. That locked Milwaukee into the third spot and a first-round matchup with Miami. And the Bucks opted to scratch Antetokounmpo and the rest of their starters. Milwaukee had already ruled out Middleton. The two-time All-Star missed his fourth game this season after scoring 21 points the previous night in a win over Miami. “We feel like if we can kind of get on top of it this 24, 48 hours, I think he’ll be in a great place heading into the week of prep and playoffs,” coach Mike Budenholzer said. The Bucks began the day a game behind Brooklyn for the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. They needed a win over the Bulls... [More]

Thu Mar 25 202120:52Bulls take big step toward turnaround with deal for Vucevic
CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Bulls acquired an All-Star center and sent a loud message to the rest of the NBA with one blockbuster trade. They're serious about becoming a contender. And they're ready to welcome top free agents. The Bulls pulled off their first major trade since Arturas Karnisovas was hired to lead their basketball operation last spring by acquiring two-time All-Star center Nikola Vucevic from Orlando prior to Thursday's deadline. They also added Al-Farouq Aminu in the deal and sent Wendell Carter Jr., Otto Porter Jr. and two future first-round selections with certain lottery protections to the Magic. “We're trying to improve our team,” Karnisovas said. “That was an opportunity. You don't get so many opportunities to improve with players like that. I think we've done pretty well today." Vucevic is averaging a career-best 24.5 points and 11.8 rebounds in his 10th NBA season and ninth in Orlando. He has two full seasons remaining after this one on the four-year, $100 million... [More]
Thu Dec 31 202016:444 Bulls in NBA safety protocol; will miss Wizards game
WASHINGTON (AP) — Four Chicago Bulls players are in the NBA’s health and safety protocol and are not available for Thursday’s game with the Washington Wizards. Forwards Lauri Markkanen, the team’s second leading scorer and top rebounder and Chandler Hutchison and guards Ryan Arcidiacono and Tomas Satoransky have been ruled out. “You’ve got to stay flexible,” Chicago coach Billy Donovan said. “A lot of different things can happen. You’ve got to be able to handle them. Obviously, a lot for us to digest and deal with going into this game.” The Bulls play at Milwaukee on Friday night, and Donovan expects his team to be short-handed again. “My guess is yes, it’s going to go on here for a period of time,” Donovan said. “How long, I’m really unsure of that. I think daily testing helps bring some clarity where guys are at. I don’t know how long it will be, but I think it will be some time.” Markkanen was already questionable for the game with a left calf injury. ___ More AP NBA: https://apnews.com/NBA and https://twitter.com/AP_Sports

Sat Mar 10 201820:22John Wall recovery continues with workout in Miami
MIAMI (AP) — Washington still doesn't know when John Wall will play again. The Wizards simply know that the All-Star is getting closer.Wall worked out on the floor in Miami about a half-hour before the Wizards visited the Heat on Saturday night. He's done some courtwork in the past as part of his ongoing recovery from knee surgery, and this session was a continuation of the process."This Wednesday will be six weeks and we said six to eight weeks," Wizards coach Scott Brooks said. "It won't be six weeks."Wall took some jumpers and free throws, plus some layup drills that required him jumping off of both feet. Officially, he is still out indefinitely, though the Wizards seem convinced he will be back before the end of the regular season.Wall had arthroscopic surgery on his left knee on Jan. 31, plus had surgeries on both knees after last season. The Wizards were 26-22 when Wall left the lineup; entering Saturday, they were 12-6 since he got hurt and have stayed very much in the mix for a top-four seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs.Tomas Satoransky has been starting since, and Brooks said several players should be credited with adjusting their games with this no-Wall lineup."We had to change a little bit how we play," Brooks said. "He's such a dynamic player, he can score, he can help us score in transition as fast as anybody in the league. We couldn't expect Tomas to all of a sudden be that speedster up and down the court."
