As it currently stands, Milwaukee has only eight players signed to a deal for the 2023-24 campaign and Ross would be a decent addition to the squad, offering veteran presence and good scoring ability off the bench. He is coming off his 11th NBA season, having split it between Orlando and Phoenix. Ross averaged 8.3 points per game during the campaign, shooting 36.8 percent from deep.

The right toe soreness that he's experiencing seems to be severe enough to keep him from playing at least one game and maybe even two. The veteran is dealing with a sore right toe and will miss his first game since joining the team on Feb. 15. Ross has done a decent job for Phoenix off the bench, averaging 10.7 points, 4.0 rebounds and 2.0 assists, but he's role is set to be smaller going forward, as Kevin Durant (knee) is ready to start his life as a Sun.

His season average stands around 25 minutes a night, so he's currently getting a much better opportunity to perform, and the 30-year-old has looked good.

Ross has been streaky with the Magic's second unit, having averaged just 5.5 points per game over his last four contests.

Ross was 2-for-6 from three-point range and hit eight of his nine attempts from the charity stripe. The 30-year-old is a microwave scorer who's been Orlando's key piece off the bench for years now. Ross averaged a career-high 15.6 points per game last season and might do even better this season, with the likes of Aaron Gordon and Nikola Vucevic out of the way and not asking for touches. He'll be back out there on Monday against the Heat, who have allowed the seventh-most bench points in the league early in the season.
