Kravtsov signed a short-term contract Wednesday with Russian club CSKA Moscow, David Pick of Basketball Insiders reports.

Kravtsov, who played two seasons in the NBA with the Pistons and Suns from 2012 to 2014, will replace the injured Joel Freeland on CSKA Moscow's roster. The seven-footer isn't expected to surface in North America at any point this season.

"This is learning, and this is a big adjustment for Slava," Frank added. The rookie recently dealt with a back injury, but he's fine now.

"I have to," he said. "I want to get strong." A project center who was signed over the summer, Kravtsov still has a long way to go.
