F Chris Copeland, who appeared in 24 games and averaged 2.1 points and 0.5 rebounds, was waived by Milwaukee on Monday.

F Chris Copeland (31) is the only Milwaukee player over 30 years old. The Bucks are the second youngest team in the league (24 years, 144 days) behind Philadelphia.

Copeland has verbally agreed to a one-year contract worth roughly $1.1 million with the Bucks.

Copeland will provide an offensive weapon to Milwaukee's bench with his three-point shooting. He'll add depth to the Bucks' depth chart and have to battle for minutes, playing behind Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and first-round pick Rashad Vaughn, all of whom limit Copeland's fantasy value to deeper leagues as long as they remain healthy.

Copeland is finalizing a deal with the Bucks that should be completed this week, Marc Stein of ESPN reports.

Copeland is primarily an offensive threat and will add some depth to the Bucks' bench. He does hit threes at a solid rate, as he shot 31 percent from behind the arc last year. Despite that, Copeland likely won't see much run on the Bucks playing behind guys like Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton and first-round pick Rashad Vaughn.

Copeland averaged 6.2 points (36% FG, 31% 3Pt, 73% FT), 1.0 assist, 2.2 rebounds, 0.2 steals, and 0.2 blocks in 17 minutes per game during 50 regular season games in 2014-15. He underwent abdomen and left elbow surgery after being stabbed outside a nightclub in New York City in April. The 31-year-old small forward is an unrestricted free agent entering the offseason.

Copeland started off the season on a hot streak averaging 12.3 points, 2.1 three-pointers, 1.7 assists, 3.9 rebounds, 0.4 steals, and 0.4 blocks in 29 minutes over the first 17 games. His value took a tumble in December, though, as coach Frank Vogel benched Copeland in favor of the more consistent C.J. Miles. Copeland proceeded to have essentially no playing time through the rest of the year as his minutes fell from December onward. The small forward suffered a scare in April when he and his ex-fiancee were attacked outside of a nightclub in the early morning, and he had to undergo season-ending surgery from the injuries he sustained. In standard leagues, Copeland will likely go undrafted next season, and there's the possibility he goes back overseas to play basketball.

Copeland will require left elbow surgery after he was stabbed outside a New York nightclub early Wednesday, Jared Zwerling of NBA TV reports.

Copeland, who was with his wife and a female friend, was stabbed in the abdomen following an argument, per ESPN.com, and it appears he broke his elbow while falling to the ground. The injury is expected to end his season, but both the player and the Pacers organization are likely just relieved he and his companions didn't suffer any life-threatening injuries as a result of the attack. Copeland is averaging 6.2 points and 2.2 rebounds over 50 games with the Pacers this season.

Copeland and his wife were both stabbed outside a club in New York City early Wednesday morning, the New York Daily News reports.

The Pacers had been in New York preparing to play the Knicks, Copeland's former team. Atlanta Hawks Pero Antic and Thabo Sefolosha were both arrested as well at the incident, reportedly on charges of obstructing justice. There's currently no update on Copeland's condition at this time.

Copeland did not play in Saturday's loss to the Knicks.

Copeland failed to play for fourth time in his last five games. He has fallen out of coach Frank Vogel's rotation, averaging 6.0 minutes per game in the past month compared to 28.7 minutes he was averaging in November. Since then, Damjan Rudez has taken the majority of Copeland's minutes. Even if Copeland does see an increase in playing time, his value is limited as a three-point scorer with few rebounds and assists.

Copeland wasn't able to log a single minute in Friday's contest against the Pistons.

The second year forward logged one minute in his previous game against the Wolves and didn't play against the Pistons in his next game. Copeland has seen his time on the court wane in his last five games - he played 27, 15, 13, 1 and 0 minutes respectively. It appears coach Frank Vogel has decided to look elsewhere for help at the forward position while the Pacers await the return of star Paul George.

Copeland scored 17 points (7-10 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 2-2 FT) to go along with five rebounds, one assist and one block in 18 minutes Monday against the Bulls.

Copeland caught fire in this game as the Pacers dug out of a deep hole, but ultimately couldn't come up with the victory. Copeland has offensive talent and can be a matchup nightmare on some nights, but he'll need to produce on a more consistent basis to be a reliable fantasy option.

Copeland played only six minutes in loss to the Blazers on Saturday.

Copeland has seen a reduction in minutes in each of his last three games. This is his lowest minutes total of the season. Copland has his hit rock bottom and holds very little fantasy value at the moment.

Copeland came off the bench for just 12 minutes during Friday's loss to the Raptors.

Copeland was relegated to a role off the bench in lieu of C.J. Miles on Friday. Miles injured his knee and will be a game-time decision for Saturday's contest against Portland, so it's possible that Copeland could be reinserted into the starting lineup after just one game off the bench.

Copeland will come off the bench Friday, Fox Sports Indiana's Jeremiah Johnson reports.

He had been outplayed by C.J. Miles of late, so Miles will enter the starting lineup, making Copeland less appealing in all formats.

Copeland scored three points (1-5 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 0-0 FT) and had two rebounds, one assist and a steal in 15 minutes of action Friday against the Kings.

HIs role has continued to diminish over the last four games, as his minutes have dropped from 25 MPG to 15 MPG.

Copeland scored just five points (2-9 FG, 1-5 3Pt) in 20 minutes of action Friday in a loss to the Trail Blazers.

Copeland has been in and out of the starting lineup this season, but started against the Trail Blazers. However, he couldn't get anything going, failing to fill the box score elsewhere besides recording three rebounds. C.J. Watson and C.J. Miles both came off the bench for the Pacers, but they combined to go just 4-for-20 from the floor. With most everyone healthy now (excluding George Hill) the Pacers will be a fantasy grab-bag each game.

Copeland will start Thursday against the Trail Blazers, the Indianapolis Star reports.

The team didn't give a clear indication why the move was made, but it should offer some extra minutes for Copeland. C.J. Watson was taken out of the lineup as a result.

Copeland scored 17 points (7-17 FG, 3-10 3P) with five rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block in 35 minutes during Wednesday's win over the Heat.

After failing to score in double-digits for the first time this season on Monday, Copeland bounced right back with a solid performance. The offensively-challenged Pacers will continue leaning on him for scoring until the roster gets healthier.

Copeland was just 1-of-10 on 3-pointers on his way to 14 points (6-19 FG, 1-4 FT) with four boards in 38 minutes in the loss on Saturday to Washington.

The 3-point spigot has been turned off for Copeland in the last two games in which he is 1-of-14 from long range. He continues to see big minutes for the Pacers and will be allowed to shoot himself out of his slump.

Copeland will start against the Celtics in place of C.J. Miles, the Indianapolis Star reports.

Copeland has been on fire to start the season as he's been averaging 17.2 points and 6.2 rebounds off the bench in five games. The 30-year-old has averaged 30.6 minutes on the court during this time span but that number could certainly increase while David West (ankle) remains out.

Copeland scored 19 points (8-21 FG, 3-9 3Pt), with 12 rebounds, four assists and one steal in 37 minutes during Wednesday's Overtime loss to the Wizards.

Copeland has been getting plenty of minutes off of the Pacers' bench recently, and we expect that to continue. He obviously has the green light from head coach Frank Vogel. He's an intriguing option for daily fantasy games, and has created plenty of value for standard leagues as well.
