Fri Jun 13 201409:31Scott Machado to play in summer league
Scott Machado will play for the Raptors in summer league in July.
Last summer, the Raptors had Dwight Buycks get some of the spotlight in summer league, leading the Las Vegas competition in points per game. This year, the NCAA's leader in assists for 2012 could have an impact. Still, Machado will need a huge showing to get into an NBA rotation this upcoming season.

Thu May 29 201412:07Scott Machado to work out for Nets
Scott Machado will work out for the Brooklyn Nets on Monday.
Machado has most recently played with the Santa Clara Warriors of the D-League after failing to catch on with the Utah Jazz during training camp prior to the 2013-14 season. Machado led the NCAA in assists during the 2011-12 season so he does have playmaking skills, but his game hasn't translated well to the NBA and he's likely looking at a Summer League invitation from the Nets as a best-case scenario right now.

Tue Jan 14 201409:26Scott Machado expected to return to D-League.
Scott Machado is expected to return to the Santa Clara Warriors of the D-League on Tuesday.
Machado had been in the running to land a job with the Jazz during training camp, but was unable to solidify a spot on the final roster. Despite the fact that he led the NCAA in assists in 2011-12, Machado has some major holes in his game and is extremely unlikely to be much of a fantasy asset at any point this season.

Sat Oct 26 201314:52Machado gets waived by the Jazz
Jazz waive G Scott Machado.
He has some decent passing skills, but can't defend or do anything once he gets into the lane. Machado did lead the NCAA in dimes back in 2011-12, but his game doesn't translate very well to the pros.

Wed Oct 16 201313:45Machado poised to carve out significant role
With Trey Burke set to miss at least the next four weeks, Scott Machado has a good chance to see minutes for the Jazz.
According to Steve Luhm of the Salt Lake Tribune, Burke's injury has opened the door for Machado to play a larger role for the Jazz. "Depending on what the Jazz do with their roster while Burke is out, Machado might not only make the team but he could inherit a significant role," Luhm wrote. The former D-leaguer may not be a household name to fantasy owners, but minutes are equivalent to gold in fantasy basketball and Machado led the NCAA in assists during the 2011-12 season so the talent is there.

Tue Sep 24 201309:39Jazz invite PG Scott Machado to camp
The Jazz have invited PG Scott Machado to training camp.
Details of the contract haven't been reported, but in all likelihood it's an unguaranteed deal for camp. Machado went undrafted in 2012 and wound up playing 34 games in the D-League before being briefly called up by the Rockets. The Jazz are thin at PG, but Machado won't be a fantasy asset even if he makes the roster.

Sat Aug 24 201309:55Scott Machado weighing overseas offers
Former Rockets PG Scott Machado has four offers to play overseas.
Machado led the NCAA in assists during the 2011-12 season. He earned a contract with the Rockets after going undrafted, but played in the D-League for most of last season and doesn't seem to be drawing much interest in the NBA. He considered joining the Knicks for training camp, but that door closed when they signed Beno Udrih.

Mon Apr 15 201314:25Warriors to sign G Scott Machado
The Warriors will sign guard Scott Machado for the rest of the season.
Machado had been under a 10-day contract after spending much of the season with the Rockets. He's got talent, but as long as Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Jarrett Jack are healthy, he won't see much playing time unless it's in the final regular-season game and the Warriors have nothing left to play for.
