Hansbrough was drafted fifth overall by the Grand Rapids Drive in the 2014 D-League Draft.
Hansbrough participated in Chicago's training camp but ultimately failed to make the regular season roster. He played in 28 games for the Pacers last season but will begin his 2014-15 campaign in the D-League working on improving his game.
Sat Oct 18 201412:45Hansbrough waived by Bulls on Saturday
Hansbrough was waived by the Bulls on Saturday, the Chicago Tribune's K.C. Johnson reports.
He had a slim chance of making the Bulls, but will try to catch on with a D-League team, most likely.
Fri Sep 26 201417:31Hansbrough signed training camp deal with Bulls
Hansbrough signed a training camp deal with the Bulls, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Hansbrough, known mostly as the brother of Raptors' forward Tyler Hansbrough, was brought in on a camp deal Friday. He played in Spain last season, and the last time he saw NBA action was in 2012 as a part of the Pacers. He's most likely not much more than a camp body, and is on the outside looking in for getting a roster spot post training camp.
Thu Aug 22 201310:47Ben Hansbrough expected to sign in Spain
Ben Hansbrough will reportedly sign with Gran Canaria in Spain.
Hansbrough is no stranger to international basketball, having played in both Germany in Slovenia, and he wasn't drawing any interest as a free agent in the NBA.

Fri Dec 21 201212:54Ben Hansbrough will be backup PG Friday
Ben Hansbrough (shoulder) will be the backup point guard on Friday.
Clearly, the shoulder injury isn't serious. Although D.J. Augustin played decently in Hansbrough's absence, it'll take more than one good game for him to regain his role as the primary backup to George Hill.

Thu Dec 20 201211:05Ben Hansbrough injured shoulder Wednesday
Ben Hansbrough did not play in the second half of Wednesday's game due to a "grade-one" left shoulder sprain.
He's considered day-to-day, and could have returned to action if needed. D.J. Augustin could reassume his role as the primary backup point guard in Hansbrough's absence, but nothing has been decided yet.

Tue Dec 11 201208:05Vogel: Augustin's demotion is short-term
Frank Vogel said that Ben Hansbrough overtaking D.J. Augustin as the primary backup point guard is a "short term" move.
Vogel did leave the door open for Hansbrough to keep the role if he plays well, but the coach is looking for a spark in the second unit more than anything else. "Our bench as an unit has been struggling," he said. More shakeups could happen on the Pacers bench, but it's not going to impact those in standard formats.

Mon Dec 10 201215:17Ben Hansbrough takes over as backup PG
Ben Hansbrough will replace D.J. Augustin as the Pacers' primary backup PG.
Augustin has done nothing to deserve the playing time, unfortunately, and Frank Vogel is desperate to find a spark off the bench. It's an interesting development but won't have fantasy ramifications outside of the deepest leagues.

Mon Dec 10 201208:59Vogel considering second unit shakeup
Frank Vogel is considering shaking up his second unit, with Ben Hansbrough and Jeff Pendergraph potentially entering the rotation.
D.J. Augustin has been struggling mightily this season, and he hasn't played more than 15 minutes in a game since November 21. Meanwhile, Tyler Hansbrough is shooting 37.6 percent this season and hasn't played up to expectations. Those two seem like the most obvious candidates for demotion should Vogel follow through on his idea.

The Pacers will keep Ben Hansbrough on their regular season roster, though his contract is non-guaranteed.
It's a happy day for the Hansbrough family, but has zero implications in fantasy leagues.
