Fri Jul 11 201420:13Knicks waive forward Lamar Odom
Knicks waive forward Lamar Odom.
This could be it for Odom, as Phil Jackson knows his former pupil better than anybody and elected to pass. He'll be remembered for his insane versatility and also his inability to take charge as a No. 1 and sometimes No. 2 guy, but on the whole he was an extremely good player and we wish him well in his future endeavors.

Sun Jun 8 201415:33Lamar Odom to join Knicks by end of June
Lamar Odom has been working out in Los Angeles but he's expected to join the Knicks at their practice facility by the end of June.
Odom has been slowly getting into shape in L.A., while receiving physical therapy to overcome a back injury that ended his brief stint playing in Spain this season. "If he wants to put himself back together in a basketball life, he's got a chance to do this," said Phil Jackson. "Having a relationship with him, I figure this is a pretty good risk/reward situation for us." The 34-year-old Odom has a chance to salvage his career in New York, but fantasy owners should view him skeptically given his disastrous play since 2012.

Sun Jun 1 201408:54Lamar Odom begins comeback attempt... again
Lamar Odom will begin his comeback attempt at the Knicks training facility on Monday.
Odom signed on with the Knicks with one game left in the regular season, and he will now attempt to get into basketball shape in order to be ready for next year. After winning the Sixth Man of the Year award in 2011 Odom's play fell off a cliff, and he did not play at all last season due to alleged issues with crack. His contract is non-guaranteed, so there is little risk for the Knicks here. Odom was Phil Jackson's first player acquisition as acting president of basketball operations for the Knickerbockers.

Tue Sep 24 201321:24Lamar Odom breaks silence, notes 'dark time'
Lamar Odom finally spoke out on Twitter Tuesday night, speaking about his father and the fact he's apparently been saying things about the Kardashians that Odom is not fond of.
"He wasn't there 2 raise me," Odom said about his father. "He was absent ALL of my life due to his own demons...He disrespecting the ONLY FAMILY that has loved me without expecting anything in return. They are the ONLY ones that have been here consistently 4 me during this dark time. Only person 2 blame is myself." The saga with Odom continues, but the fact he's been out of the headlines lately is probably a good thing. While it's doubtful he ever plays in the NBA again, the first step to making it happen would be getting his problems worked out, so maybe this is a step in the right direction.
