Thu Mar 6 201402:02Tony Mitchell makes his NBA debut
Tony Mitchell made his NBA debut against the Kings on Wednesday, scoring two points with one board in three minutes.
He's a wing on a team looking for as much help at those spots as possible, so at least has a chance for minutes. Mitchell scored 19.4 points per game with the Fort Wayne Mad Ants this season, but he'll have to play well to earn a second 10-day deal in the big leagues.

Thu Jun 27 201323:17Detroit get Tony Mitchell with 37th pick
The Pistons landed North Texas F Tony Mitchell with the 37th pick.
He's a forward who can block shots and might be a steal here, as he was projected to go in the first round. He's a solid rebounder and compares to Kenneth Faried, which should make him a nice fit for the Pistons.

Tue Jun 11 201316:34Knicks are 'especially high' on Tony Mitchell
According to ESPN, the Knicks are "especially high" on North Texas F Tony Mitchell.
The Knicks view Mitchell as a power forward option at 6'9/236. He drew some comparisons to Kenneth Faried after averaging 14.7 points and 10.3 rebounds on 56.7 percent shooting as a freshman, but those numbers sunk to 13.0, 8.5 and 44.0 as a sophomore. At No. 24 overall, Mitchell is certainly worth a flier.

Sat Jun 8 201322:41Tony Mitchell's draft stock on the rise
North Texas F Tony Mitchell has worked out for the Knicks, Blazers, Bulls, Nuggets and Jazz.
Mitchell admits that his effort was sporadic during his sophomore season, which caused his draft stock to slump, but he's on the rise after a strong pre-draft camp in Chicago -- most scouts feel he's the most athletic player in the draft. The Knicks worked him out on Friday may very well take him if he's available at No. 24.

Sun May 19 201305:28Tony Mitchell laments lousy sophomore year
North Texas F Tony Mitchell regrets his mediocre sophomore season, which dropped him from a potential lottery pick to an uncertain commodity.
"I wish I could've changed it," he said this weekend, after interviewing with the Pistons. "I would've changed my effort, how I competed every game." Mitchell averaged 13.0 points and 8.5 rebounds last year, both down from his rookie season, and his lack of intensity and focus has made NBA teams very wary. Rotoworld's latest mock draft has Mitchell going to the Jazz (via Golden State) at No. 21 overall.
