Dickerson is having a rough spring, hitting .174 in 24 at bats, though three of his four hits have gone for extra bases.
After being signed to a minor league contract in February, Dickerson has been given a shot in the major league camp, but just hasn't performed. Dickerson's chances of making the 25-man roster seem slim. Throughout his career, Dickerson has been a serviceable pinch hitter, but with a number of players ahead of him, Dickerson seems unlikely to crack the major league roster.

Dickerson signed a minor league contract with the Blue Jays on Saturday that includes an invite to spring training.
The 32-year-old Dickerson owns a .257/.335/.395 batting line for his career, but he's really struggled since making the jump to the AL in 2011, posting a .297 OBP and .679 OPS in 182 games between New York, Baltimore and Cleveland. He will now join Toronto in hopes of earning a roster spot, but Dickerson will likely only break camp with the big club if Dalton Pompey gets hurt or falters during spring training.
Tue Sep 16 201420:08Dickerson has elected free agency
Dickerson has elected free agency, Chris Cotillo of SB Nation reports.
Rather than accept his outright assignment to Triple-A Columbus, Dickerson has decided to explore his opportunities elsewhere. The 32-year-old hit just .224/.309/.327 in 41 games with the Indians this season and may very well have to settle for another minor league deal.
Tue Sep 9 201414:48Dickerson outrighted to Triple-A Columbus
Dickerson has been outrighted to Triple-A Columbus.
With the move, he's no longer on the 40-man roster, leaving Cleveland with six vacancies to add players between now and the Rule 5 Draft in December.
Sat Sep 6 201416:04Dickerson (back) out of Indians' lineup again Saturday
Dickerson (back) is out of the Indians' lineup again Saturday.
Evidently, the back tightness that resulted in Dickerson's scratch from Thursday's lineup has yet to subside. Tyler Holt will man right field Saturday after Ryan Raburn occupied the position the previous two days.

Dickerson (back) remains out of the lineup Friday against the White Sox.
A late scratch from Thursday's lineup, Dickerson will miss a second straight start Friday as Ryan Raburn once again mans right field for Cleveland. The full extent of the lower-back issue is uncertain, but it wouldn't be a surprise if the team held Dickerson out again Saturday, with another lefty in Jose Quintana on the hill for the White Sox.

Dickerson was scratched from Thursday's lineup with lower-back tightness, MLB.com's Jordan Bastian reports.
He'll be replaced in the lineup by Tyler Holt, who gets the start in right field and will bat ninth. Dickerson enjoyed regular playing time in the Indians' outfield for a time, but he's been mostly relegated to bench duty the last couple of weeks. The injury certainly won't help his case to pick up at-bats.
Sun Aug 24 201411:05Dickerson out of lineup Sunday against Astros
Dickerson is out of the lineup Sunday against the Astros, MLB.com reports.
Dickerson will take a seat for the first time in five games with lefty Brett Oberholtzer starting for the Astros. The 32-year-old seems to have a steady grasp on a starting job so long as David Murphy remains on the DL, but he's produced little value in return to this point, slashing .242/.317/.352 over 91 at-bats with the Indians.
Mon Aug 4 201415:30Dickerson (knee) back in lineup Monday against Reds
Dickerson (knee) is back in the lineup Monday against the Reds.
After leaving Friday's game due to a sore left knee, Dickerson didn't make another appearance until entering in the ninth inning Sunday for the injured Nick Swisher (wrist). Dickerson normally covers the outfield, primarily in left, but Swisher's absence could result in handling DH, which Dickerson is taking on Monday.
Sun Aug 3 201422:25Dickerson (knee) replaced Nick Swisher in ninth inning Sunday
Dickerson (knee) replaced Nick Swisher in the ninth inning Sunday.
Dickerson hadn't appeared in a game since leaving Thursday's contest but would appear healthy enough for the upcoming week if you need him.
Sun Aug 3 201410:40Dickerson (knee) out of lineup again Sunday
Dickerson (knee) is out of the lineup again Sunday, Jeff Wilson of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reports.
Dickerson has been out since he left Thursday's contest and remains out of the lineup for Sunday's game. Mike Aviles will start in left field in his place Sunday and bat second for the Indians.
Sat Aug 2 201415:11Dickerson (knee) remains out of Indians' lineup Saturday against...
Dickerson (knee) remains out of the Indians' lineup Saturday against the Rangers.
The knee injury will cost Dickerson a second straight start, but there's been nothing to suggest a DL move is imminent. Mike Aviles will draw the start in left field against right-hander Miles Mikolas on Saturday.
Fri Aug 1 201415:01Dickerson (knee) not in lineup Friday against Rangers
Dickerson (knee) is not in the lineup Friday against the Rangers.
Dickerson left Thursday's game with discomfort in his right knee, and is out of the lineup again Friday because of it. Ryan Rayburn is starting in left in his place and batting ninth for the Indians. The team will likely shed some light on his situation in the near future, but for now he is listed as day-to-day.
Thu Jul 31 201420:24Dickerson left Thursday's game due to left knee discomfort
Dickerson left Thursday's game due to a left knee discomfort, and he is considered day-to-day, Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Should Dickerson miss time beyond Thursday, the Indians will likely turn to Mike Aviles and/or Ryan Raburn in left field. Though he's been a pleasant surprise through 50 at-bats, Dickerson has cooled off considerably following a hot start, and he already has 20 strikeouts.

Dickerson was removed from Thursday's game against the Mariners after the second inning, Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.
Dickerson, who was batting ninth in the lineup, didn't get to hit before exiting the game. He was replaced in left field by Mike Aviles, and is likely dealing with some sort of injury.
Sat Jul 19 201422:53Dickerson homers twice as Indians sweep DH
Chris Dickerson homered twice as the Indians swept a doubleheader Saturday against the Tigers.
Dickerson clubbed two solo shots -- one in the third inning and another in the sixth. He's hit well since joining the Tribe and could be working his way into more playing time. The 32-year-old outfielder entered play Saturday with a decent .266/.342/.407 career slash line.

Chris Dickerson is not in the Indians starting lineup on Saturday due to a hamstring injury.
Dickerson has done a nice job filling in for the injured Michael Bourn, going 8-for-17 (.471) with an RBI and four runs scored in his first five games. He should be able to avoid a trip to the disabled list.

Mon Jul 7 201414:42Indians acquire Chris Dickerson from Pirates
Indians acquired OF Chris Dickerson from the Pirates for a player to be named later or cash.
Dickerson has posted a strong .309/.407/.479 batting line with seven home runs and 12 stolen bases in 65 games this season at the Triple-A level. The 32-year-old could see semi-regular action for Cleveland while Michael Bourn recovers from another hamstring strain and may be worth a look in some AL-only fantasy leagues.

Tue Mar 25 201409:50Pirates make series of roster cuts
Pirates reassigned OF Chris Dickerson, LHPs Daniel Schlereth and Adam Wilk, RHP Zack Thornton, C Omir Santos, INFs Michael Martinez and Robert Andino.
No real surprises with this wave of cuts. Dickerson played well this spring, hitting .355 (11-for-31) with two doubles and seven RBI in 15 games, but the Pirates simply didn't have enough room for him.
