Jerrett (shoulder) will be held out of Tuesday's exhibition against the Lakers, Eric Pincus of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Jerrett is still recovering from a dislocated right shoulder suffered during the summer league. It's not clear when he'll be able to take the court again.

Jerrett started his career in Oklahoma City but was a piece in the Enes Kanter trade in February. Perhaps most importantly the former Arizona standout only played in eight total NBA games for a total of 51 minutes and heads into the offseason with a contract that isn't guaranteed. Consequentially the 21-year-old is not an option to be considered for standard league draft purposes next season.

Jerrett, who has spent time in the D-League, hasn't appeared in an NBA game since Feb. 27, but he'll likely see some garbage time minutes in what's ultimately a meaningless game for the Jazz.

Jerrett was recalled from Idaho of the NBA's D-League on Monday, the Jazz's official site reports.

During a recent five-game stint with the Stampede, Jerrett averaged 9.8 points (on 53 percent shooting), 7.8 rebounds, 1.6 steals, one assist, one steal, and 0.8 blocks in 30 minutes. However, the team's season has come to an end, meaning he'll provide frontcourt depth for the rest of the Jazz's regular-season slate.

Jerrett was reassigned to the Idaho Stampede of the D-League on Thursday.

Jerrett has not played a major role at the NBA level this season, and he's bounced back and forth from the D-League for much of the year. During his last D-League assignment, Jerrett averaged 12.8 points and 8.8 rebounds in 33.8 minutes (four games).

Jerrett was traded from Oklahoma City but he's not necessarily expected to see more playing time in Utah with the new change in scenery. The former Arizona standout is still a couple years away from seeing time in the rotation, and even then, he's shown no signs of resonance over the first six games of his rookie campaign.

With Kevin Durant (toe) ruled out, Jerrett will be elevated to active status. However, he's not likely to see the floor and has only appeared in four games this season.

This move is simply to get Jerrett some court time, so expect him to join the OKC Blue for their game Friday, and rejoin the Thunder soon after.

Jerrett only played one game for the Oklahoma City Blue and he was able to put up 22 points and 11 rebounds. This single performance proves that he's an elite player in the D-League, although he's firmly planted on the bench when playing for the Thunder.

Jerrett has bounced back-and-fourth between the Thunder and the Blue this season, but one thing remains constant, he hardly gets any playing time with the Thunder. These trends will almost certainly continue throughout the season unless another wave of injuries opens things up Jerrett in Oklahoma City.

The power forward played in four D-League games so far, showing good range by making 10-of-20 three point attempts and scoring 42 points in 84 minutes. The Thunder finally seem healthy at this point, though, so Jerrett isn't a guarantee to build on his 2014 NBA total of nine minutes in the foreseeable future.

Jerrett has not played a single minute for the Thunder this season, and will likely bounce between the team and the Blue, its D-League affiliate. Jerrett was just recalled from the D-League on Saturday, after originally being assigned to the Blue hours before. However, the ankle no longer seems to be a problem for Jerrett, and he could see some time for the Thunder this season after some work in the D-League.
