Kazemi signed a contract with the Hawks on Tuesday, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
After being released by the 76ers a day earlier, it didn't take long for Kazemi to find a new landing spot. Kazemi is playing with the Sixers' summer league team for the third straight year in an attempt to convince the team to sign him, the Intelligencer reports.
Kazemi was drafted in the second round of the 2013 NBA Draft by the Sixers, but he's spent the last two seasons on an overseas tour gaining experience and working to improve his offense. He's a hustle player who does all the little things, but Kazemi is considered a liability on offense due to his limited range. With a plethora of frontcourt players already on the roster, it's unlikely the 6-7 forward will play well enough to force the Sixers' hand.
Mon Jul 29 201321:25Arsalan Kazemi expected to go overseas
The Sixers are considering sending second-round pick Arsalan Kazemi overseas for the upcoming season.
The team would keep his rights and his contract would not count against the cap or luxury tax. Philly would likely take another look at the 23-year-old next year.
