The Phoenix Suns signed point guard Phil Pressey to a second 10-day contract on Tuesday.Pressey has played in four games for the Suns and is averaging 5.0 points and 6.0 assists. The third-year veteran played for the Philadelphia 76ers earlier this season and averaged 3.9 points and 3.3 assists in 14 games.Pressey, 25, is the son of former NBA player Paul Pressey.

The Philadelphia 76ers signed point guard Phil Pressey with a hardship relief exception on Wednesday.Pressey flew to Milwaukee and was available for Wednesday night's game against the Bucks. The Sixers' only had healthy point guards before the arrival of Pressey were Isaiah Canaan and T.J. McConnell.In 125 career appearances in the NBA with the Boston Celtics, Pressey averaged 3.1 points, 2.9 assists and one steal per game."You guys are getting a really good young player and a good man," said Aaron Mintz, Pressey's agent.The 24-year-old Pressey was waived by the Celtics in July but signed with the Portland Trail Blazers later that month. He made four preseason appearances for the Blazers.Before joining the 76ers, Pressey signed with the Idaho Stampede of the NBA Developmental three days earlier.

Pressey signed with the Trail Blazers on Friday, Erik Gunderson of The Columbian reports.

Pressey will join the Trail Blazers on a fully guaranteed one-year minimum deal and compete for a roster spot as a backup point guard. He will primarily be battling with Tim Frazier, the D-League MVP from 2014. Pressey averaged 3.5 points and 2.3 assists in 12 minutes per game as a member of the Celtics in 2014.

Pressey was waived by the Celtics on Wednesday, the Boston Globe reports.

Pressey's contract was about to become guaranteed, but the Celtics decided to let him go instead of keeping him on the roster. Pressey spent the first two seasons of his career with the Celtics. During the 2014-15 season, he played in 50 games, finishing with averages of 3.5 points, 1.6 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 0.6 steals over 12 minutes per game. Pressey could find himself in another teams' training camp, otherwise we could see him start the 2015-16 season in the D-League.

Pressey is no longer participating on the Celtics' summer league roster, A. Sherrod Blakely of CSNNE.com reports.

Pressey was practicing with the squad during the Salt Lake City Summer League and able to play in the event of an emergency head into Las Vegas. His contract becomes fully guaranteed if he's still on the roster by July 15th, but he could wind up part of the pending David Lee and Gerald Wallace deal. After the Celtics drafted three guards in the past two drafts, it appears Pressey's days are numbered.

Pressey will be on the Celtics' summer league roster, Jay King of MassLive.com reports.

Coach Brad Stevens confirmed that Pressey will be on the roster, but he noted that he may skip some games. The Missouri product is coming off of a sophomore season in which he averaged just 3.5 points and 2.3 assists while appearing in 50 games.

Pressey saw limited playing time during his second NBA season. He played in only 50 games averaging 15 minutes, 3.5 points and 2.3 assists per game. Pressey shot a challenging 37 percent from the field.

Pressey enters the offseason as a restricted free agent. Should he stay with Boston, he'll provide only bench strength, entrenched behind Avery Bradley, Marcus Smart and Isaiah Thomas on the Celtics' depth chart.

Pressey knocked down one field goal during his lone minute on the court against the Sixers on Friday.

Pressey is one of the last options off the bench for coach Brad Stevens in Boston. In fact, Pressey will likely see another stint in the D-League in short order.

Pressey was recalled by the Celtics on Friday.

Despite the promotion, Pressey is still a limited player in the NBA who is only averaging 11.6 minutes on the court over 31 appearances this season. Unless a wave of injuries hits Boston, the second-year point guard is not expected to see significant time on the court during his sophomore campaign.

Pressey was of the D-League on Thursday.

Pressey is averaging 3.2 points and 2.1 assists in 31 games for Boston this season but has seen his playing time wane of late. He'll head to Maine for a short stint in order to see starter's minutes for a game or two.

Pressey played 16 minutes off the bench Sunday, putting up nine points (3-4 FG, 2-2 3Pt, 1-1 FT), four rebounds, and four assists.

Pressey was getting some extra run with Marcus Smart (personal) away from the team. Smart is expected to return for Monday's game. Pressey has averaged 3.3 poins and 2.2 assists in 12 minutes per game through 27 contests this season. He's highly unlikely to earn a big enough role to be of use in anything but the absolute deepest of leagues.

Pressey has been limited to an average of eight minutes on the court over two games this season.

Pressey is buried on the depth chart and won't likely see much time on the court unless guys like Rajon Rondo, rookie Marcus Smart, or Evan Turner suffer injuries. In lieu of this, Pressey is better left untouched in everything but the deepest of leagues.

He'll have to fight for minutes behind Rajon Rondo and rookie Marcus Smart, but he looks like a lock for a roster spot this season.

Pressey went undrafted last year but Boston signed him to a multi-year deal as a free agent, and he stepped into a big role with Rajon Rondo recovering from ACL surgery. He even started 11 games, averaging 8.2 points, 1.3 threes, 7.2 assists and 1.5 steals, but his fantasy outlook is bleak with Rondo and Smart clogging up minutes at PG.

Any time Rondo will miss, Pressey is worth a shot in most fantasy leagues. He's not a great scorer, but did a nice job for the Celtics tonight.

Phil Pressey handed out a career-high 13 assists in a start in place of Rajon Rondo (shin) on Friday vs. the Bobcats, adding 10 points, three steals and two 3-pointers in 39 minutes.

It's the third time he's had a double-digit dime game and also his second double-double of his career. Pressey has actually shot the ball at a respectable level lately and he's turned around what was a horrible start to his career. Rondo's shin injury is a bit of a mystery as far as severity goes, so Pressey is more of a speculative add. Although, Pressey could be a nice start since Jerryd Bayless (knee) seems doubtful.

This injury came out of nowhere for Rondo and coach Brad Stevens may have just went with Pressey over Jerryd Bayless as the starter to not mess with his game plan in the rotation. Pressey is a low-end option despite a decent matchup against Luke Ridnour.

Phil Pressey scored nine points in 35 minutes during his seventh start of his career on Wednesday with nine boards, five assists, one steal and one 3-pointer.

It wasn't the worst line and he might have been a little better than expected. Pressey shot 3-of-9 from the field and being undersized has really made him an ineffective offensive weapon. Rajon Rondo won't play playing in back-to-back sets any time soon, so fantasy owners in deep leagues can keep stats like these in mind for streaming purposes.

Phil Pressey will start against the Knicks on Wednesday night.

With Rajon Rondo out tonight, the Celtics will go with Pressey for his seventh career start. In his previous six starts, he averaged 6.8 points, 2.5 boards, 4.5 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.3 triples in 24.2 minutes. He did have one tremendous game mixed in there to inflate those averages, so fantasy owners probably shouldn't have their hopes too high even in a great matchup.
