The Detroit Pistons waived forward Cartier Martin, guard/forward Adonis Thomas and center Jordan Bachynski on Friday.Martin signed with the Pistons as a free agent on Aug. 18, 2014. In 23 games with Detroit, the 6-foot-7, 220 pound forward averaged 1.6 points, 0.9 rebounds and 0.5 assists in 8.6 minutes per game. In 243 career NBA games (15 starts) with Charlotte, Golden State, Washington, Atlanta, Chicago and Detroit, Martin has averages of 5.1 points, 1.9 rebounds, 0.5 assists and 13.8 minutes per game.Thomas was signed on July 23 after spending last season with the Grand Rapids Drive, the Pistons' NBA Development League affiliate. Thomas spent two seasons in the D-League, where he averaged 18.0 points, 4.6 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 85 games with Grand Rapids and Springfield.Bachynski was signed to the training camp roster on Sept. 28. In two preseason games, he totaled six points and one rebound in six minutes. The 7-2, 248-pound center split time last season between the Westchester Knicks of the D-League and Eskisehir Basket of the Turkish Basketball League.

Thomas, who sat out Tuesday's preseason loss to the Pacers with the injury, will rest for the next few the days with the hope that it alleviates the pain. He could return to game action at some point next week.

Thomas was scheduled to receive an MRI on the injury Monday, but the severity of the ailment isn't yet known. The forward is only with the Pistons on a camp invite and has little margin for error if he hopes to come away with an opening-night roster spot.

Thomas agreed to a two-year partially guaranteed deal with the Pistons, the Detroit Free Press reports.
Thomas was an All-Star for the Pistons' D-League affiliate last season, averaging 18.9 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 2.3 three-pointers in 36 minutes per game over 51 contests. During the Orlando Pro Summer League, Thomas posted 8.6 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.2 three-pointers in 26 minutes per game. He failed to record a single block or steal in the five-game tournament, and he'll be fighting to earn a spot on a team with 18 players already under contract. He'll more than likely spend his third straight season in the D-League.

The Magic have signed Adonis Thomas to a second 10-day contract.
Like they did with Dewayne Dedmon, the Magic decided to re-up Thomas to a second 10-day deal in advance of the Thursday deadline. Thomas has only played 14 minutes over the course of two games with the Magic, so his fantasy value is literally limited to the deepest league out there.

Orlando Magic sign F Adonis Thomas.
Thomas joins fellow 10-day contract recipient Dewayne Dedmon as the 13th and 14th players on Orlando's roster and will be available for Tuesday's game against the Wizards. While he has been effective in the the D-League, Thomas won't immediately be part of the Magic's rotation and can be left on waiver wires.

Adonis Thomas will sign a 10-day deal with the Magic on Monday and will be available to play on Tuesday vs. the Wizards.
He's having a solid campaign in the D-League this year, averaging 16.2 points, 4.2 boards, 0.9 steals and 1.5 turnovers with the Springfield Armor. Thomas has back-to-back 21-point games and is improving, but he's still not projected to be in the rotation right away.

They have their roster at 15 and will enter the season as one of the deeper, older teams in the NBA. Thomas will likely have to play in the D-League.
