Fri Feb 11 201115:18Phillies ink Cory Sullivan to minors deal
Phillies signed OF Cory Sullivan to a minor league contract.
The deal does not carry an invitation to spring training, so Sullivan will be in minor league camp this March. He batted just .188 in 64 at-bats last season for the Astros before they designated him for assignment in late June. No other team scooped him up after that and things would have to go seriously wrong in Philly this season for the 31-year-old to climb all the way to the majors.

Astros designated OF Cory Sullivan for assignment.
He was batting .190 in 63 at-bats. Sullivan isn't a particularly good defender nor does he have any plate discipline, so it's highly likely he will pass through waivers.
Sun Apr 4 201010:34Sullivan makes Astros roster
Astros purchased the contract of OF Corey Sullivan from Triple-A Round Rock.
Not bad for someone who came into camp as a non-roster invitee. Sullivan will be the fifth outfielder behind Carlos Lee, Michael Bourne, Hunter Pence, and Jason Michaels.
