Bogusevic is out of the lineup Sunday against the Nationals, Robert Dawson of WNEW-AM reports.

Bogusevic had started the last three games in right field for the Phillies, going 2-for-11 with five strikeouts. The 31-year-old doesn't present much upside at this stage of his career, so it wouldn't be surprising if the Phillies explored a younger option in right field over the final week of the season.

Bogusevic will get the start in right field and bat fifth in the order Tuesday, Ryan Lawrence of the Philadelphia Daily News reports.

Bogusevic has hit well in a small sample size with the Phillies so far, (.321/.367.500 in 28 at-bats) but he could be in line for more opportunities at the plate if he produces against Marlins' starter Tom Koehler on Tuesday.

Bogusevic performed well enough at Triple-A Lehigh to earn his first major league appearance since 2013, batting .295/.360/.426 with 24 stolen bases and 12 home runs. The 31-year-old is basically organizational depth at this point in his career, but that could still mean some spot appearances in the outfield.

Bogusevic might have had an opportunity in the majors with another club by now, but the Phillies have plenty of left handed hitters on their roster already. He could see time with the Phils later this summer if the team reworks its roster by trading off some veteran pieces as expected.
