Bairstow played with the Bulls in the Las Vegas Summer League. He averaged 8.2 points, 6.6 rebounds, 0.6 assists, 2.6 blocks, and 1.4 steals in 24 minutes per game through five games.

In his rookie season, Bairstow averaged 0.6 points, 0.4 rebounds, 0.1 assists, 0.1 blocks, and 0.1 steals in 4 minutes per game through 18 games. Playing behind the likes of Pau Gasol, Joakim Noah, Taj Gibson, Nikola Mirotic, and now most likely Bobby Portis, Bairstow has had a hard time finding minutes. This offseason he has worked on his outside shooting, averaging 36 percent from three in summer league. Unless Chicago finds themselves having depth issues, Bairstow will most likely play sparingly from the bench this season.

Bairstow has been working on his outside shot in summer league, NBA.com reports.

Bairstow played 18 games in his rookie season and attempted 14 shots the entire year. Through two summer league games, he leads the Bulls with 10.0 rebounds and 2.0 blocks in 26 minutes per contest. Bairstow has also converted 2-of-7 three-pointers, tied for second most on the team. He's impressed coach Hoiberg thus far, but the Bulls' frontcourt situation doesn't provide much playing time. His contract this season is partially guaranteed.

Bairstow played in 18 games for the Bulls this season and averaged 0.6 points, 0.4 rebounds and 0.1 assists per game.

Bairstow was a second round pick from the Bulls and although he managed to stay on the roster for the entire season, he was buried on the bench. Expect him to have a very limited role again next season if he remains with the team.

Bairstow has not played in either of the Bulls first two playoff games against the Bucks.

Bairstow is buried on the Bulls bench and is unlikely to see much action in the playoffs even if he does appear in a game.

Bairstow was available off the bench in Thursday's game against the Heat but was ultimately never deployed onto the court.

This shouldn't come as much of a surprise since Bairstow has only played in 17 games this season. The 23-year-old is not expected to see much playing time if he is eventually placed on the court in the final few games of the season, making the rookie a humdrum option across all formats.

Bairstow is listed as active for Thursday's game in Miami, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Following news that Jimmy Butler is out Thursday due to a left calf injury, Bairstow will be ready in case his name is called. In 17 mostly brief appearances this season, Bairstow is averaging only 0.6 points (on 21 percent shooting) and 0.5 rebounds in four minutes.

Bairstow did not attempt a shot in three minutes Saturday against the Knicks.

The Bulls won big Saturday, leading to a few garbage minutes for Bairstow. He will likely continue to only see action in lopsided games.

Bairstow (illness) is inactive for Monday's game against the Hornets, the Chicago Tribune reports.

Bairstow has played in just 16 games this season, but news of his absence is noteworthy nonetheless. That's in part because the Bulls will also be without starting center Joakim Noah (soreness) Monday, leaving their frontcourt without two big bodies. As a result, the combination of Taj Gibson and Paul Gasol should receive an extended run Monday versus Charlotte.

Bairstow did not play again Friday against the Timberwolves.

Bairstow has only played in 14 games this season and is clearly buried on the bench considering he didn't play Friday even with Pau Gasol (illness) out and Taj Gibson (ankle) going down early in the game with an injury.

Bairstow did not play again Saturday against the Hawks.

Bairstow failed to play Saturday despite Joakim Noah (ankle) missing his second consecutive game. Even with Noah out, don't expect Bairstow to see many minutes even if he does get into a game.

Bairstow grabbed one rebound in one minute Thursday against the Lakers.

Bairstow has only played in seven games for the Bulls this season as the team is very deep in the front court. Expect Bairstow to be anchored to the bench on most nights.

Bairstow was given the first start of his NBA career Tuesday. He put up two points, two rebounds, one assist, and one block in 19 minutes.

Bairstow was given the spot start with Joakim Noah (eye,knee) and Taj Gibson (ankle) out. It was surprising to see Bairstow get the start instead of Nikola Mirotic, and given how poorly it appears Bairstow played, it'd be somewhat shocking to see him play much going forward even if the Bulls are desperate for help in the frontcourt on a given night.

Bairstow will get the start Tuesday, ESPN Chicago's Nick Friedell reports.

It's a puzzling move, as Nikola Mirotic seemed like the obvious guy to step in alongside Pau Gasol with both Taj Gibson (ankle) and Joakim Noah (eye/knee) out Tuesday. Bairstow has played eight total minutes in the Bulls' last six games, and even as a starter, he is unlikely to put up a very helpful fantasy line.

Bairstow has not played since playing four minutes in the Bulls season opener against the Knicks.

Bairstow is buried on the bench for the Bulls and will likely only see playing time during blowouts.
