DETROIT (AP) — The Detroit Pistons have hired Gregg Polinsky as director of player personnel.The Pistons also announced Saturday they had signed second-round draft pick Bruce Brown Jr. and waived guard Dwight Buycks. Detroit later officially announced the signings of free agents Glenn Robinson III and Jose Calderon.Polinsky comes to the Pistons from the Brooklyn Nets. He spent the last 19 seasons with them in various roles, most recently as director of college scouting, and was the coach at Georgia Southern from 1995-99.The 6-foot-5 Brown was taken with the 42nd pick in this year's draft. Robinson has agreed to a three-year deal with the Pacers, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports reports.

Robinson played decently in the Summer League for the Hawks after having his option declined by the 76ers, averaging 11.8 points and 3.2 rebounds. He'll come off the bench to back up Paul George and Solomon Hill as a tweener forward, but minutes are likely to be hard to come by.

Robinson played with the Hawks' summer league team, averaging 11.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.0 assists, 0.7 blocks, and 0.7 steals in 22 minutes per game through six contests.

In his rookie season, Robinson was waived by the Timberwolves before being claimed by the 76ers. He averaged 4.4 points, 0.4 three-pointers, 2.5 rebounds, 0.8 assists, 0.1 blocks, and 0.3 steals in 15 minutes per game through 10 games with Philadelphia. The 76ers declined Robinson's $1 million dollar option in June, making him an unrestricted free agent. If signed to a team, he will probably struggle to find minutes off the bench.

Robinson has joined the Hawks' summer league team, Chris Vivlamore of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

Robinson has bounced around a bit since being drafted in the second round in 2014, having split his rookie season between Minnesota and Philadelphia. The 76ers declined his player option for next season, so he's currently an unrestricted free agent who will look to catch teams' eyes in Vegas.

Robinson is now an unrestricted free agent after the 76ers declined his $1 million option, Tom Moore of of Calkins Media reports.

Philadelphia continues to clean house, as they will likely let Robinson walk after serving a bench role with the team. For now, it doesn't look great for Robinson as he wasn't given much of an opportunity to showcase his skills on the Sixers, but even if he does find a new home this offseason, Robinson will likely have a similar role to what he had this past season.

Robinson was picked up off of waivers by the 76ers in March. In 10 regular season games with the 76ers he averaged 4.4 points (42% FG, 31% 3Pt, 50% FT), 0.4 three-pointers, 0.8 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 0.3 steals in 15 minutes per game in 2014-15. He has a qualifying offer for 2015-16.

In his rookie year, Robinson didn't make a big impact, as he was waived by the Timberwolves and had a minimal bench role for the 76ers. Entering his sophomore year, Robinson will need to show improvement to garner more minutes in the NBA. For fantasy use, he is an afterthought until he secures a bigger role for himself.

Robinson is unlikely to play Friday, Tom Moore of Calkins Media reports.

Robinson is yet to see the floor since being claimed off of waivers by the Sixers last week. He's not hurt, so it appears coach Brett Brown is simply waiting to get him acquainted with the team's system before throwing him into the fray.

Robinson logged a DNP-CD Wednesday against the Bulls.

Robinson has now been with the team for two games, and it appears he's still needing time to adjust to the system. He may enter into the rotation sooner than later, and there's a chance he could surprise fantasy owners. The 76ers have been producing low-end roster-worthy players throughout the season and perhaps Robinson is no exception. Still, leave him in the wires until further notice.

Robinson was claimed off waivers by the Sixers on Saturday, and coach Brett Brown indicated that he'll probably hold him out for the second straight game Wednesday as he continues to acquaint himself to the new system. Once Robinson gets acclimated, he could step into a bench role for one of the league's deepest rotations.

He enters a much better situation, from a playing time perspective, in Philadelphia, where he'll compete with the likes of Robert Covington, Thomas Robinson, Hollis Thompson and JaKarr Sampson for playing time.

The Wolves claimed Justin Hamilton off waivers Thursday afternoon, so they had to make a move to free up a roster spot. Robinson, a rookie out of Michigan, is the casualty. The 6-7 forward appeared in 25 games this season but saw nearly all of his minutes in garbage time. The second-round pick is likely to draw mild interest as a free agent and will almost certainly get another chance in the NBA at some point.
