Free agent Jonathan Bender is working out with fitness expert Mackie Shilstone in an effort to get another shot in the NBA.

Chronic knee problems have plagued Bender ever since he jumped to the NBA straight out of high school in 1999. The former No. 5 overall pick doesn't have much upside left at age 29, but showed he can still shoot a little bit in 25 games with the Knicks last season.
