Antetokounmpo signed a two-year, partially guaranteed deal with the Knicks on Friday, NBA.com reports.

Antetokounmpo still has a long way to go before impacting the NBA game. Last year's second-round pick is an athletic specimen with offensive limitations. In 47 D-league contests, Antetokounmpo averaged 13.9 points, 6.2 rebounds, 1.7 steals, and 1.7 blocks in 33 minutes per game, earning D-League All-Defensive Second Team honors last season. The Knicks have 13 players under guaranteed contracts, and the playing time will not be sufficient for Antetokounmpo to return substantial fantasy value immediately.

Antetokounmpo contributed 6.4 points, 1.8 rebounds, 1.2 blocks, and 0.6 steals in 15 minutes per game during the Las Vegas Summer League.

Antetokounmpo came off the bench for all five contests, and he converted a mere 2-of-7 three-pointers. The waiving of Ricky Ledo cleared a spot on the roster for the former second-round pick. After spending the last two years in the D-League, Antetokounmpo has publicly stated he wants to join the Knicks. There's speculation he'll sign with the team once they improve their cap flexibility. Antetokounmpo is still raw offensively, and he's not expected to impact fantasy leagues this year.

Antetokounmpo is expected to be a member of the Knicks' roster next season, ESPN New York reports. "There is nothing on paper yet, but those are the intentions," Antetokounmpo's agent, Tim Lotsos, said.

After spending last season in the D-League, Antetokounmpo will likely look for a change of scenery next season, whether that means playing overseas or in the NBA. It sounds as though the Knicks are interested in bringing Antetokounmpo aboard, though most scouts agree that the soon-to-be-23-year-old is not ready to contribute at the NBA level. An excellent, long defender, Antetokounmpo struggles offensively, particularly as a shooter. If he does join the Knicks for the 2015-16 campaign, it would likely be in a deep bench role.

Antetokounmpo will be called up from the D-League by the Knicks following the Amare Stoudemire buyout, SNY.tv's Keith Schlosser reports.

The younger brother of Giannis Antetokounmpo has many of the same traits. He has averaged 13.7 points, six rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.5 blocks in 30 games in the D-League this season, and could earn some run on the wing as the Knicks will be compelled to see what their young players can do during this lost season.

Antetokounmpo will attend Knicks' training camp in lieu of signing overseas right away, Sportando reports.

Antetokounmpo has received offers from teams in Italy, but he'd like to participate in the Knicks' offseason training program, even though it's still likely that he'll spend the upcoming season overseas. The thought behind this is that he'll be able to progress faster on a team that can afford him more playing time. If he has a productive foreign season, Antetokounmpo could join the Knicks for their 2015-16 campaign.
