Fri Jan 1211:01Bobby Portis Posts Big Double-Double In Blowout Win
Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis may not be posting the same type of numbers that he did last season, but he's always a threat to go off in any given game. The 28-year-old posted one of his best games of the season en route to a blowout win over the Boston Celtics on Thursday. The veteran forward finished with 28 points, 12 rebounds, and one steal while shooting 11-for-18 overall and 5-for-6 from deep. For the fantasy managers that have hung on to him in deeper leagues, this was an amazing sight, but his value in 12-team leagues and fewer hasn't been as great. Portis has even seen fewer minutes this year, so he's still a bit harder to trust in smaller leagues.

Wed Aug 30 202309:22Bobby Portis Has Very Productive 16 Minutes Against Jordan
Milwaukee Bucks forward/center Bobby Portis came alive at the FIBA World Cup on Wednesday, producing the goods at both ends of the court in a blowout victory over Jordan. The 28-year-old notched 13 points on 4-for-8 shooting and registered six rebounds with three steals in 16 minutes. Playing as a backup, Portis had logged only 22 minutes across the first two games of the tournament, but the Americans completely dominated Wednesday's game, and head coach Steve Kerr decided to spread the minutes around more. Every Team USA player logged at least 12 minutes and nobody saw over 21 minutes on the court. Portis & Co. will continue the show on Friday versus Montenegro.

Fri Mar 10 202310:18Bobby Portis Scores Season-High 28 Points
Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis got the start on Thursday while Giannis Antetokounmpo (illness) remained on the sidelines. The 28-year-old didn't disappoint by posting one of his best games of the season with 28 points, 13 rebounds, and two assists on 11-for-15 shooting from the floor and 3-for-4 from beyond the arc. When he's on the floor alongside Brook Lopez, his offensive game is maximized since he can score from all three levels. Any time he's inserted in the starting lineup, he's an instant streaming option for anyone that may need an extra big man.

LeBron James Injury Update

James injured his right foot during the third quarter of Sunday's comeback win over the Dallas Mavericks. It was a tense few seconds after the multi-time MVP clutched his foot after suffering what was deemed a "non-contact injury." The concern grew to greater heights after he was overheard saying, "I heard a pop." Situations like this are never good, as many were concerned that an Achilles tear could be the culprit.https://twitter.com/FanDuelTV/status/1630602449227595777?s=20Yet, after James gathered himself, he tightened his shoe and finished the game, totaling 26 points, eight rebounds, one block, and one steal. Head coach Darvin Ham appeared optimistic while speaking postgame, stating the 38-year-old was "good."However, that couldn't be further from the case, with The Athletic's Shams Charania reporting that James would "miss an extended period of time" because of the foot injury. Charania later added that the all-time scoring leader would "require multiple opinions."https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1630363560051187712?s=20

LeBron James' Season Recap

Despite James' advanced NBA age, he's still productive. In 47 appearances, he's averaged 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists. While his three-point percentage has regressed, that's never been his strong suit.James was also named an All-Star captain while recently passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the NBA's all-time scoring leader.https://twitter.com/NBAonTNT/status/1623184801284104192?s=20That said, despite some high-level accomplishments, the year has been a rough one for the 2003 No. 1 overall pick. He's battled left foot soreness for nearly the entire season, so much so that he routinely carried some type of injury designation heading into almost all of his games over the last few months.... Sun Feb 26 202312:51Bobby Portis Starting Versus Phoenix
Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis will start in Sunday's matchup versus the visiting Phoenix Suns. Giannis Antetokounmpo (quadriceps) is out after exiting in the first quarter on Friday against the Miami Heat. That said, the multi-time MVP has been banged up all year, so there's a chance he'll also miss Tuesday's game in Brooklyn. As a result, Portis, who has averaged 16.7 points, 11.0 rebounds, and shot 38.9% from downtown in 14 starts this season, will be a must-start fantasy. The 28-year-old will also be a popular DFS option for those participating in early contests.

Wed Feb 22 202322:34Bobby Portis Expected To Suit Up On Friday
Milwaukee Bucks center Bobby Portis (knee) is expected to suit up for Friday's game against the Miami Heat. The big man has been sidelined nearly a month, but was able to practice on Wednesday without any issues. The fact he has been out for so long means Portis will probably be limited during his first game back. His return is good news for the Bucks who could be without Giannis Antetokounmpo (wrist) for Friday's game. That being said, Portis could become a decent streaming option even in a limited role without Antetokounmpo available. It's also worth noting that Jae Crowder is expected to make his team debut on Friday. He should absorb extra minutes if the Bucks are without their superstar forward. Fantasy managers will need to check back on Friday for more information.

Kyrie Irving's Season Recap

Irving got suspended for an antisemitic social media post, keeping him out of the lineup for eight games. But since then, the 30-year-old stayed out of the limelight, so most had assumed he finally turned things around. He's played well all season, averaging 27.1 points, 5.3 assists, 5.1 rebounds, and 1.0 steals in 40 appearances.https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1622324668047794177?s=20&t=NTffJ2tRvNpjAA7bddjYHQHe was also selected to the All-Star team for the eighth time in his career. Fri Jan 27 202314:30Bobby Portis To Miss At Least Two Weeks With Knee Issue
Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis (knee) has been ruled out for Friday's game against the Indiana Pacers and will be out for at least two more weeks while he deals with an MCL sprain in his right knee. According to Adrian Wojnarowski, Portis will be re-evaluated after those two weeks to see if he could then return to the court. Fantasy managers will want to find a replacement in the meantime and that could come in the form of Jordan Nwora or Joe Ingles. MarJon Beauchamp (patella) could also be an option when he returns.

Tue Jan 24 202323:12Bobby Portis Out For Wednesday's Game Versus Denver
Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis (knee) won't play on Wednesday versus the Denver Nuggets. The 27-year-old exited Monday's meeting with Detroit because of a sore right knee, limiting him to just 21 minutes on the floor. Portis has had a fantastic season, averaging 14.4 points and a career-high 10.1 rebounds, so fantasy managers are certainly keeping their fingers crossed that his current ailment isn't serious. Nevertheless, until Portis can make it back, Jordan Nwora and MarJon Beauchamp should see some extra minutes. However, both men are limited in terms of fantasy potential, considering Giannis Antetokounmpo will get all the work he can handle moving ahead.

Boston also had Marcus Smart, who is proficient on both ends of the floor.Unfortunately, the reigning NBA Defensive Player of the Year's evening didn't last long, as he exited in the first half after suffering a sprained right ankle. Derrick White Injury Update

Jaylen Brown, the No. 2 offensive option for the Celtics, is possibly out for a couple of weeks because of an adductor injury. Obviously, this isn't ideal for Boston, a team that struggled throughout December while losing the first two contests of 2023.Although the C's have plenty of depth in the backcourt, Boston could be without Derrick White after the veteran suffered a neck strain in Saturday's win over the Hornets.https://twitter.com/celtics/status/1614425152200257542?s=20&t=SawJ1rLRAHqFYZAcIiNRJwThe former Spur will likely undergo further testing to determine the severity of the ailment. Mon Jan 2 202307:44Bobby Portis Bags His 21st Double-Double
Milwaukee Bucks forward/center Bobby Portis recorded his 21st double-double of the campaign in Sunday's loss to Washington, leading the team with 19 points and picking up 10 rebounds. Portis made his ninth start of the campaign, with Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) sitting out the contest. Jrue Holiday (illness) remained out as well and that gave Portis a big role on offense. His attacking efforts weren't at a high standard, though, as Portis ended up shooting only 6-for-16 from the field. He played 30 minutes and also tallied two assists and one steal. The 27-year-old is having a good campaign and has been a very useful piece for fantasy managers even as a bench performer, averaging 14.0 points and 10.1 rebounds for the season. His numbers have jumped to 16.8 points and 11.8 boards as a starter.

Sun Dec 4 202207:51Bobby Portis Leads Bucks To Victory Saturday
Milwaukee Bucks forward/center Bobby Portis was the star man in Saturday's 105-96 win over Charlotte, leading the team with 20 points and adding eight rebounds and a career-high seven assists. He struggled from downtown with a 1-for-5 record but shot well overall, going 9-for-18 from the field. Portis got a chance to shine because Milwaukee completed a back-to-back set and the team's Big Three missed the contest. He likely won't have such a nice all-around line again anytime soon, but Portis has been in good form throughout the campaign and is well worth consideration in all fantasy leagues, even if he has to drop out of the starting lineup again next time out. Portis boasts a 13.7-point scoring average with 10.4 rebounds for the season.

Sun Nov 6 202215:40Bobby Portis Gobbles Up Career-High 21 Rebounds
Milwaukee Bucks forward/center Bobby Portis showed some incredible rebounding ability in Saturday's 109-94 win over the Thunder, grabbing a career-high 21 boards in 29 minutes. He added 12 points for his fifth double-double of the campaign. Portis' scoring output suffered from a 5-for-15 shooting. Two of his makes came with five attempts from behind the arc. The former Chicago misfit, who made his first start of the campaign Saturday, has found himself a really nice role in Milwaukee and is averaging 13 points and 11 rebounds with a pair of assists early in the season. He should be rostered in most fantasy leagues, and Portis' value always gets a bit of a boost when Giannis Antetokounmpo gets rested, which was the case on Saturday.

Thu Oct 20 202222:13Bobby Portis Notches Double-Double In Win
Milwaukee Bucks center Bobby Portis looked sharp during Thursday's game against the Philadelphia 76ers. The 27-year-old is coming off the bench, but that isn't going to stop him from being productive. Portis finished with 11 points, 10 rebounds in 23 minutes of action during Thursday's win over the 76ers. He's back to a bench role with Brook Lopez being healthy right now. However, it looks like Portis can still be a productive player even in a bench role. He should easily surpass his ADP of 1032, assuming he continues to play like this.

Sun Oct 2 202215:09Bobby Portis Plays 20 Minutes In Loss To Grizzlies
Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis played 20 minutes during the preseason loss to Memphis on Saturday night, finishing with seven points and six rebounds. The veteran is coming off arguably the best season of his career in 2021-22, averaging 14.6 points and 9.1 rebounds while shooting 39.3% from deep in 72 games. As a result, Portis was rewarded with a four-year, $49 million in the offseason. Category managers should keep the 27-year-old on the radar, primarily since he's a reliable scorer and rebounder. His efficient three-point percentage is a bonus.
