Colin Curtis underwent season-ending surgery on his right shoulder last Friday.
We knew Curtis was having surgery, but a timeframe for his return was previously unknown. The 26-year-old outfielder suffered the injury making a diving catch during spring training. With any luck, he'll be back next spring.

Yankees placed OF Colin Curtis on the 60-day disabled list, retroactive to March 22, with a dislocated right shoulder.
Curtis entered spring training in the mix for the fifth outfielder job, but injured his shoulder making a diving catch earlier this month. He is currently rehabbing the shoulder and is expected to be out for an extended period of time.

Curtis injured the shoulder making a diving catch during Sunday's game. We knew he would be out for a while, but it sounds like he'll be able to avoid surgery. He'll hang back and rehab the shoulder in Tampa for now.

Curtis hit .256 with a homer in 43 at-bats with the Yanks earlier this season. He'll give the club some outfield depth down the stretch.

After Brett Gardner was ejected, Colin Curtis came off the bench to hit his first career homer Wednesday versus the Angels.
It was a three-run homer off Scot Shields. Curtis has limited power, but he is 7-for-27 with seven RBI in 27 at-bats since joining the Yankees a month ago. He's doing his best to show GM Brian Cashman that there's no need for him to go out and get a veteran reserve outfielder at the deadline.
