Sun Mar 1018:53Cameron Payne Replaces Buddy Hield As Starter On Sunday
Philadelphia 76ers point guard Cameron Payne will join the starting unit for Sunday's contest against the Knicks, replacing Buddy Hield. The veteran is getting his third start in four games after previously filling in for Kyle Lowry and Nicolas Batum. He starts on the backcourt alongside Lowry this time, with Hield set to lead the second unit. Together with his time in Milwaukee, Payne has made five starts across the season, amassing a respectable 14.4 points, 3.0 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 1.2 steals in the role. Hield began the campaign as a bench piece in Indiana, so the role isn't anything new for him, and he should still get plenty of action off the pine.

Tue Mar 519:15Cameron Payne Will Play Tuesday
Philadelphia 76ers guard Cameron Payne (illness) will suit up for Tuesday's meeting with the Nets. He has been under the weather and didn't play on Sunday against the Dallas Mavericks, leaving the arena before opening tip to get some rest. Under usual circumstances, Payne wouldn't see much attention from the fantasy community. But with Tyrese Maxey (head) sidelined after being diagnosed with a mild concussion, Payne should draw plenty of interest. The 29-year-old has averaged 13.7 points, 4.3 assists, and 1.3 steals in three starts this year, and he'll make a fantastic value option for DFS participants.

Mon Mar 418:18Cameron Payne Questionable For Tuesday Night
Philadelphia 76ers guard Cameron Payne (illness) is questionable for Tuesday's game against the Brooklyn Nets. He was listed on Sunday's injury report heading into the meeting with the Dallas Mavericks. However, he was ruled out before opening tip and left the arena. The 29-year-old has averaged 9.7 points and 3.3 assists in nine games with the 76ers. But with Kyle Lowry now in the equation, it will be tough to trust Payne in any fantasy format.

Thu Feb 819:57Cameron Payne Heading To 76ers
The Philadelphia 76ers made multiple moves on Thursday in an attempt to improve their roster for a deep postseason run. On Thursday, the Sixers acquired guard Cameron Payne from the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Patrick Beverley. The expectation is that Payne is going to be the primary backup guard behind Tyrese Maxey. Payne has played well as a reserve option over the last few seasons. However, his fantasy value is going to remain limited due to the fact he'll usually be playing off the bench. There could be some streaming appeal on nights where the Sixers are shorthanded, but Payne probably won't have every-game value.

Thu Jan 1110:18Cameron Payne Probable Thursday
Milwaukee Bucks point guard Cameron Payne (concussion) appears ready to return to action, with the team listing him as probable for Thursday's marquee matchup against Boston. The veteran guard missed Monday's clash with Utah, after landing in concussion protocol. However, Payne practiced on Wednesday and should resume his normal duties as the backup point guard to Damian Lillard. Payne has averaged 6.1 points and 2.4 assists in 15.5 minutes for the year.

Fri Oct 20 202321:57Cameron Payne Won't Return To Preseason Finale
Milwaukee Bucks guard Cameron Payne (thigh) won't return to Friday's preseason matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies. He logged only five minutes before exiting due to a thigh contusion, scoring two points. That said, the Bucks don't open the regular season until Thursday, so there's a good chance the 29-year-old will be available. Of course, with Damian Lillard expected to see plenty of minutes, Payne's fantasy expectations aren't too high, so there likely won't be many managers anxiously awaiting an update.

Sun Jul 16 202321:02Cameron Payne Traded To San Antonio
The Suns traded guard Cameron Payne to the Spurs on Sunday. Chatter surrounding a move involving the 28-year-old picked up momentum over the last few weeks, so he'll now suit up for his fifth team since entering the league in 2015. Payne is a talented player, averaging 10.3 points and 4.5 assists last season. However, he logged 14.9 points, 7.1 assists, and shot 38.8% from deep in 15 starts. San Antonio has plenty of options in the backcourt. But Payne has a chance to overthrow Tre Jones for the starting point guard job, although he should still receive enough minutes in any role to keep him relevant in deeper fantasy setups.

Wed Jul 12 202322:28Suns Looking To Move Cameron Payne
According to Jake Fischer of Yahoo, the Suns continue "to explore trade scenarios" surrounding guard Cameron Payne. The 28-year-old has played in Phoenix since 2019 and has proven to be a valuable depth piece. He finished last season by logging 10.3 points per game, including averaging 14.9 points and 7.1 assists in 15 starts. Payne has also solidified himself as a viable fantasy option when given a chance to produce, so a change of scenery may benefit him moving ahead. On the other hand, he could get buried on the bench, so his outlook is contingent on where he ends up.

Fri May 12 202310:04Cameron Payne Goes Off In Loss
Phoenix Suns guard Cameron Payne stepped up and gave this team a much needed boost on offense on Thursday. The Suns were without Chris Paul and Deandre Ayton, but oddly enough Payne is the one that steps up. He made his first seven shots from beyond the arc as Payne ready to play. Sadly, the rest of the Suns roster wasn't able to offer Payne much support in this game. Payne finished with 31 points, six rebounds, and two assists in the Game 6 loss to the Denver Nuggets. Payne was asked to start the final four games of this series, but this game was really the only game where he played well. He still has another year on his contract, so expect him to backup Paul next season.

Tue Apr 25 202310:22Cameron Payne Considered Probable For Game 5
Phoenix Suns point guard Cameron Payne (back) is set to return to the lineup for Tuesday's Game 5 against the Clippers, with the team listing him as probable for the matchup. The 28-year-old has yet to appear in the 2023 playoffs, battling lower back soreness. However, it looks like Payne will be good to go Tuesday, giving the Suns an extra piece in the rotation. Phoenix's starters have so far played massive minutes in the series, even in comfortable victories, and the presence of Payne should ease the load on them. The well-traveled guard averaged 20.2 minutes during the regular season, recording 10.3 points and 4.5 assists.

Thu Apr 20 202321:40Cameron Payne Unavailable On Thursday
Phoenix Suns guard Cameron Payne (back) has been ruled out for Thursday's Game 3 against the Los Angeles Clippers. The 28-year-old continues to deal with a lingering back issue that will leave the Suns shorthanded on the perimeter. The absence of Payne should mean more playing time for Landry Shamet. However, Devin Booker and Chris Paul are going to play a majority of the guard minutes. Shamet should still be involved, but will only be a low-end DFS option.

Wed Apr 19 202320:04Cameron Payne Questionable On Thursday
Phoenix Suns guard Cameron Payne (back) is questionable ahead of the Game 3 playoff encounter with the Los Angeles Clippers. The 28-year-old hasn't played in the postseason thus far because of lower back soreness, allowing Landry Shamet to receive more minutes. However, Payne or Shamet aren't ideal DFS options one way or the other, especially with Kevin Durant, Deandre Ayton, Devin Booker, and Chris Paul (hand) on the floor.

Phoenix Suns guard Cameron Payne (back) will remain out Tuesday against the Los Angeles Clippers. Payne will not be making his playoff debut on Tuesday as he continues to recover from lingering back soreness. Landry Shamet and Josh Okogie should continue to get minutes off the bench.

Mon Apr 17 202321:23Cameron Payne Is Questionable To Play Tuesday
Phoenix Suns guard Cameron Payne (back) is officially questionable for Tuesday's playoff game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Sat Apr 15 202317:28Cameron Payne Could Miss Sunday's Game
Phoenix Suns guard Cameron Payne (back) is considered questionable for Sunday's Game 1 against the Los Angeles Clippers. The 28-year-old missed the final game of the regular season and two of the last five games. Despite that, it sounds like Payne is heading in the right direction ahead of their first-round matchup. Lately, Payne has only been averaging a little over 10 minutes per game. That being said, it's unknown how much he'll contribute to this roster in the postseason.

Thu Apr 13 202321:46Cameron Payne Still Not Practicing
Phoenix Suns guard Cameron Payne (back) continues to sit out of practice. The 28-year-old is still dealing with a lower back issue that he suffered last week. At the moment, it's uncertain if Payne will be ready for the beginning of the first round. The Suns would likely ask Landry Shamet and Terrence Ross to pick up additional minutes if Payne sits out. Neither would probably see enough minutes to warrant streaming in most DFS contests. The expectation is that Chris Paul and Devin Booker will play a majority of the minutes at the guard spot.

LeBron James Injury Update

James injured his right foot during the third quarter of Sunday's comeback win over the Dallas Mavericks. It was a tense few seconds after the multi-time MVP clutched his foot after suffering what was deemed a "non-contact injury." The concern grew to greater heights after he was overheard saying, "I heard a pop." Situations like this are never good, as many were concerned that an Achilles tear could be the culprit.https://twitter.com/FanDuelTV/status/1630602449227595777?s=20Yet, after James gathered himself, he tightened his shoe and finished the game, totaling 26 points, eight rebounds, one block, and one steal. Head coach Darvin Ham appeared optimistic while speaking postgame, stating the 38-year-old was "good."However, that couldn't be further from the case, with The Athletic's Shams Charania reporting that James would "miss an extended period of time" because of the foot injury. Charania later added that the all-time scoring leader would "require multiple opinions."https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1630363560051187712?s=20

LeBron James' Season Recap

Despite James' advanced NBA age, he's still productive. In 47 appearances, he's averaged 29.5 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 6.9 assists. While his three-point percentage has regressed, that's never been his strong suit.James was also named an All-Star captain while recently passing Kareem Abdul-Jabbar to become the NBA's all-time scoring leader.https://twitter.com/NBAonTNT/status/1623184801284104192?s=20That said, despite some high-level accomplishments, the year has been a rough one for the 2003 No. 1 overall pick. He's battled left foot soreness for nearly the entire season, so much so that he routinely carried some type of injury designation heading into almost all of his games over the last few months.... Thu Feb 23 202316:20Cameron Payne Questionable For Friday Versus Thunder
Phoenix Suns guard Cameron Payne (foot) hasn't quite gotten through the woods just yet in regard to his foot injury. Since December 13, Payne has only been able to play in two games while not earning more than a doubtful status throughout that time up until now. The questionable status shows that there is progress in the right direction, but it wouldn't be surprising if the Suns kept him out a little longer to make sure he's fully healthy before their playoff run.

Kyrie Irving's Season Recap

Irving got suspended for an antisemitic social media post, keeping him out of the lineup for eight games. But since then, the 30-year-old stayed out of the limelight, so most had assumed he finally turned things around.
