Watts signed a minor league contract with the Nats in November and went on to bat .211 with a .670 OPS in 156 plate appearances at Triple-A Syracuse. The 29-year-old backstop will try to find a new organization. |

Nationals signed C Kris Watts to a minor league contract. |
Watts was acquired from the Pirates last season when the Nationals lost Wilson Ramos (ACL surgery) and Sandy Leon to injuries. He'll represent organizational depth. |
