Mon Mar 419:48Pat Connaughton Moves Into Starting Five
Milwaukee Bucks forward Pat Connaughton will move into the starting five ahead of Monday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. Connaughton will be the lone change to the lineup with Giannis Antetokounmpo (Achilles) ruled out. A move to the starting five should give Connaughton a boost in fantasy value. However, Bobby Portis remains the better fantasy play despite coming off the bench during Monday's game.

Fri Feb 2311:24Pat Connaughton Expected To Play Friday
Milwaukee Bucks guard Pat Connaughton (knee) has been listed as probable for the Friday night matchup against the Minnesota Timberwolves. He's listed with patellar tendinitis in his left knee, so it seems to be a pain tolerance issue at this point. Connaughton hasn't been much of a fantasy-relevant player this season as he has only started in two games and his average minutes per game have dropped over the past few seasons. He'll remain in his bench role as the Bucks will try to get back up to the second seed in the East over the remaining stretch of the season.

Mon Dec 11 202309:46Pat Connaughton Remains On The Shelf Monday
Milwaukee Bucks guard/forward Pat Connaughton (ankle) will remain on the sidelines Monday versus Chicago. This is going to be the fifth straight game he misses due to a right ankle sprain. Connaughton's absence should help MarJon Beauchamp maintain a significant role in the rotation, while Cameron Payne and Andre Jackson Jr. also have an opportunity to log more minutes off the bench. Payne is definitely the best fantasy option from the three, although far from a must-have piece.

Wed Dec 6 202321:39Pat Connaughton To Remain Out Thursday
Milwaukee Bucks forward Pat Connaughton (ankle) will remain on the sideline for Thursday's game against the Indiana Pacers. This marks the fourth game in a row that Connaughton has missed due to a right ankle sprain. His absence should mean more minutes for MarJon Beauchamp and AJ Green in the rotation. Normally, neither of them would be streaming options. However, it's a two-game slate and with increased minutes they could be valuable given the limited selection.

Mon Dec 4 202318:23Pat Connaughton Will Remain Sidelined On Tuesday
Milwaukee Bucks guard/forward Pat Connaughton (ankle) has been ruled out of the team's in-season tournament game on Tuesday night against the New York Knicks. This will be his third consecutive game that he has missed from a right ankle sprain. Cameron Payne and MarJon Beauchamp have been receiving more minutes off of the bench in his absence and they should continue to do so. The Bucks may opt to give the starters heavy minutes as well since this is the knockout stage of the tournament.

Sat Dec 2 202313:30Pat Connaughton Out Again On Saturday
Milwaukee Bucks guard/forward Pat Connaughton (ankle) remains out for Saturday's game versus the visiting Hawks. The 30-year-old will now miss his second consecutive contest because of a sprained right ankle. That said, he's averaged only 5.8 points this season, so his absence wouldn't impact many fantasy managers. Nevertheless, without Connaughton in the lineup, rookie Andre Jackson Jr. (back) would be a favorite to see more work. But he's questionable, meaning the Bucks could lean heavily on the starting lineup while allocating most of the bench minutes to Bobby Portis, MarJon Beauchamp, and Cameron Payne.

Thu Nov 30 202310:11Pat Connaughton Out On Thursday
Milwaukee Bucks guard/forward Pat Connaughton (ankle) won't be available to face the Bulls on Thursday. The 30-year-old sniper sprained his right ankle in Tuesday's battle with Miami and will miss his first game of the season. Connaughton has been one of the first guys off the bench for Milwaukee, averaging 23.1 minutes per game. Youngsters MarJon Beauchamp and Andre Jackson Jr. should soak in most of the available minutes. We might see plenty of them on Thursday, as the game has blowout potential, with the Bucks seen as eight-point favorites for the contest.

Tue Nov 28 202321:12Pat Connaughton Won't Return Tuesday
Milwaukee Bucks forward Pat Connaughton (ankle) won't return to Tuesday's game against the Miami Heat. Connaughton played 15 minutes in this game, but won't return after halftime due to a right ankle sprain. In his absence, MarJon Beauchamp will likely be given more playing time in the second half. He could have some low-end streaming appeal if Connaughton is forced to miss more time.

Thu Apr 20 202311:23Pat Connaughton Provides 22 Points Off Of The Bench
Milwaukee Bucks guard Pat Connaughton was the spark plug of the game as he provided a huge scoring boost off of the bench in the 16-point Game 2 victory. The 30-year-old registered 22 points, four rebounds, three assists, one steal, and one block while shooting 8-for-12 overall and 6-for-10 from beyond the arc. Anyone setting DFS rosters will have to look for different players stepping on offense if Giannis Antetokounmpo (back) has to miss any more time. Connaughton is one that we're likely to see more often since he's been in and out of the starting lineup throughout the year.

Thu Feb 16 202315:16Pat Connaughton Sits Out Thursday
Milwaukee Bucks guard/forward Pat Connaughton (calf) won't be in the lineup Thursday versus Chicago. He managed to play through a sore left calf Tuesday against Boston but won't take the court this time around, which is probably for the best, as the team won't want to risk an injury with Connaughton. The 30-year-old has become a big part of the rotation, averaging 25.4 minutes per game for the season. With Khris Middleton (knee) also out Thursday, Joe Ingles, Wesley Matthews and Jevon Carter will be asked to pick up some extra work.

Fri Feb 10 202313:152023 NBA Trade Deadline Breakdown - Fantasy Basketball Impacts
The NBA trade deadline has officially come and gone and we had one of the most active deadlines in recent memory with some big stars being dealt. Kyrie, KD, and Westbrook are all heading to new teams and we have been covering those trades and their fantasy impacts here at RotoBaller. But there were plenty of other lesser-known players who were dealt in the last few days and I wanted to go through and make sure we don't overlook some of these trades as some of those deals may even have more fantasy impact than the big moves. So here are some other trades that went down and my two cents on the increase or decrease in value that we should expect from the players involved for the remainder of the 2022-2023 fantasy basketball season.

Moves That Matter

These are very much in order of how much they matter. Let's start with the Spurs sending their starting center back up North where he started his career.Jakob Poeltl to the RaptorsI am a huge Poeltl fan and was close to acquiring him on multiple teams before the deadline. It was a curious move by Toronto to be buyers instead of sellers at the deadline, but Poeltl gives them the presence at the five they have been lacking all season and allows Siakam to shift over and play PF where he belongs.Poeltl is no longer a shutdown candidate and has legit top-50 upside with his multi-category abilities. His departure also makes ... [More]

At one point he was even upgraded to probably, but the team is going to play it safe with him. Tue Nov 15 202221:54Pat Connaughton May Make Season Debut Wednesday
Milwaukee Bucks forward Pat Connaughton (calf) is listed as questionable to play Wednesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Connaughton has yet to play this season as he works his way back from injury, but was able to take part in the team's practice Tuesday. Connaughton is nearing a return which would likely take away minutes from MarJon Beauchamp, Serge Ibaka and Jordan Nwora. If Connaughton is unable to go Wednesday, his next chance to return would be Friday.

Wed Oct 26 202217:58Pat Connaughton Won't Play Against Brooklyn, As Expected
Milwaukee Bucks guard Pat Connaughton (calf) won't play on Wednesday against the Brooklyn Nets. He's dealing with a calf strain, an injury that's expected to keep him out a few more weeks. The Bucks are also still waiting on the season debuts of Joe Ingles (knee) and Khris Middleton (wrist), so the team will be down some capable shooters. In the meantime, Jevon Carter, George Hill, and Jordan Nwora should continue to see additional minutes. However, none of them are reliable fantasy options.

Wed Jul 13 202211:06Pat Connaughton Agrees To Three-Year Contract Extension
Milwaukee Bucks shooting guard/small forward Pat Connaughton is sticking around with the franchise. Connaughton has reportedly agreed to a three-year, $28.5 million contract extension, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, which after having picked up his player option for 2022-23, gives him a four-year deal worth $34 million. The 29-year-old is coming off having averaged a career-high 9.9 PPG last year, knocking down 2.2 triples on a nightly basis. While he did make 19 starts last season, Connaughton has emerged largely as a significant bench cog, a role he is likely to reprise next season if Milwaukee stays healthy.

Wed Jun 22 202218:33Pat Connaughton Picks Up Player Option
Milwaukee Bucks guard Pat Connaughton is exercising his $5.7 million player option for the 2022-23 campaign. The 29-year-old has been a relatively reliable option during his tenure with the organization. He finished the 2021 season by averaging 9.9 points, 4.2 boards, and 1.3 assists while shooting 39.5% from deep but did miss some time due to a hand injury. He probably won't be a consistent fantasy performer this year. However, Connaughton has streaming potential, considering how often Giannis Antetokounmpo, Khris Middleton, and Jrue Holiday sit during any given season.

Fri Jan 7 202218:26Pat Connaughton Out Due To COVID-19 Protocols

He is joined by George Hill, Jrue Holidayand Grayson Allen, and with Donte DiVincenzo (ankle) unavailable for at least a few weeks, the team will look to Javonte Smart, Wesley Matthewsand Rodney Hood to fill the void. All three have value in deeper formats, at least for the next few games, although Hood and Matthews should be the preferred options for desperate fantasy managers.
