Wed Apr 6 202210:38Indiana Waives Keifer Sykes
Indiana Pacers point guard Keifer Sykes was waived Wednesday morning as the team reconfigures its roster moving forward. The return of T.J. McConnell made carrying a multiplicity of point guards a fruitless proposition with just two games remaining in the year. Sykes started and dropped 16 points as recently as March 28, but his Pacers tenure comes to a close after appearing in 32 games (11 starts). In that time, Sykes averaged 5.6 points and 1.9 assists per game, but he shot just 36.3 percent overall. When healthy, Malcolm Brogdon figures to hold down the starting PG spot for Indiana with Tyrese Haliburton also seeing a large share of ball-handling duties.

Fri Jan 14 202219:10Keifer Sykes To Start On Friday
Indiana Pacers guard Keifer Sykes will move into the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Phoenix Suns. Malcolm Brogdon (Achilles) is sitting out, which means Sykes will get an extended look. Duane Washington Jr. should see action as well, but Sykes is the better option between the two. Possibly, Sykes could be a punt play in DFS contests, but there should be better options available. Caris LeVert will likely end up benefiting the most from the absence of Brogdon.
