The Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday waived center Ryan Hollins. In a corresponding move, the Grizzlies signed guard Xavier Munford to a multiyear contract.Hollins appeared in 32 games (nine starts) for the Grizzlies this season and had made nine starts. He averaged 3.6 points and 2.7 rebounds in 12.9 minutes. The 31-year-old Hollins averaged 3.7 points and 2.2 rebounds in 11.8 minutes in 518 games over a 10-year NBA career with the Charlotte Bobcats, Dallas Mavericks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Cleveland Cavaliers, Boston Celtics, Los Angeles Clippers, Sacramento Kings, Washington Wizards and Memphis Grizzlies.Munford has appeared in 10 games with the Grizzlies this season and has averaged 5.6 points and 1.9 rebounds a game.Munford played his final two years in college at Rhode Island.

The Memphis Grizzlies signed guard Xavier Munford to a 10-day contract Wednesday after he was called up from the Bakersfield Jam of the NBA Development League.The 6-foot-3, 180-pound Munford has appeared in 41 games (37 starts) for Bakersfield, averaging 20.4 points, 4.2 rebounds and 6.4 assists in 33.7 minutes.Munford, 23, has played in 89 career games (53 starts) over two seasons with the Jam, averaging 15.2 points, 3.7 rebounds and 4.5 assists in 27.3 minutes. He was undrafted in the 2014 NBA draft.
