Thu Dec 23 202118:32Kevin Huerter, Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot Enter COVID Protocols
Atlanta Hawks shooting guard/small forward Kevin Huerter and small forward Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot have been ruled out for Thursday's game against Philadelphia after becoming the latest members of the roster to land in the league's COVID-19 health and safety protocols. The absences on the wing figure to allow Cam Reddish to see as much offensive volume as he can handle, while Skylar Mays could slot into the starting five once again. Huerter's minutes allotment makes him more conducive to season-long fantasy value at this stage, but he has scuffled from long range of late, going 2-for-15 over his last three games. Both players remain sidelined indefinitely.

Tue Dec 21 202121:29Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot Questionable For Wednesday
Atlanta Hawks small forward Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot (illness) has been listed as questionable to play in Wednesday's contest against Orlando. Luwawu-Cabarrot has enjoyed an eight-game stint with the starting group, although only two of those outings have resulted in double-digit points production. Utilized far more for his defensive acumen, Luwawu-Cabarrot is a DFS tournament asset at best, a designation that stands to get more complicated upon Bogdan Bogdanovic's (ankle) return, which could occur as soon as Wednesday. Check back prior to tip-off to get the final word on how the Hawks' backcourt and wing availabilities shake out.

Wed Dec 1 202118:43Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot Draws First Start Of Year Wednesday
Atlanta Hawks small forward Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot has been elevated into the starting five for Wednesday's game against Indiana. The start marks Luwawu-Cabarrot's first as a member of the Hawks, having appeared in 14 games off the bench in the season's first six weeks. Scarcely utilized, it would be surprising to see the 26-year-old suddenly snag a workload that would make him worthy of a DFS selection, but his bottom of the barrel price tag could earn him some last-minute consideration. With Cam Reddish (wrist) and De'Andre Hunter (wrist) down on the wing, Luwawu-Cabarrot stands a chance to get himself some extended run in the short-term.

Tue Dec 29 202017:43Grizzlies' Ja Morant out 3-5 weeks with sprained left ankle
MEMPHIS, Tenn. (AP) — NBA Rookie of the Year Ja Morant will miss three to five weeks after spraining his left ankle. The Memphis Grizzlies said Tuesday that further tests revealed Morant suffered a Grade 2 ankle sprain during Monday night's 116-111 overtime win over Brooklyn. “i know God is working, so I smile,” Morant wrote Tuesday on Twitter. Morant was defending a shot by Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and rolled his ankle when he landed on Luwawu-Cabarrot's foot. Morant hopped off the court and was taken by wheelchair to the locker room. He returned to watch the end of the game with his left foot in a walking boot. The Grizzlies already are without Jaren Jackson Jr., who is recovering from surgery to repair the meniscus in his left knee in August, and Justise Winslow, who is coming back from a left hip injury. Morant led Memphis in scoring last season, averaging 17.8 points a game. He also opened this season scoring a career-high 44 points. ___ More AP NBA: https://apnews.com/NBA and https://twitter.com/AP_Sports
Sat Feb 9 201917:45Thunder waive G Alex Abrines after 3 seasons
The Oklahoma City Thunder have waived guard Alex Abrines. The team announced the move Saturday.Abrines missed much of his third NBA season because of personal reasons. He played only twice since Dec. 23, and neither of those appearances lasted more than 10 minutes. The Thunder offered few clues why Abrines had not been playing. He played 31 games this season, with two starts, and averaged 5.3 points and 1.5 rebounds.Abrines' primary tool was his 3-point shooting, but he was shooting just 32 percent from long range this season after shooting 38 percent in each of the past two seasons. With guard Terrance Ferguson emerging as a legitimate 3-point shooter, Abrines became expendable.Oklahoma City didn't make much noise in the days leading up to Thursday's trade deadline. The team announced on Feb. 1 that it sent reserve guard/forward Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot and cash considerations to the Chicago Bulls for a protected 2020 second-round draft pick. The Thunder won nine of 10 heading into Saturday night's game at Houston.___Follow Cliff Brunt on Twitter: www.twitter.com/CliffBruntAP___More AP NBA: https://apnews.com/tag/NBAbasketball and https://twitter.com/AP_Sports
