Toronto Raptors forward Juancho Hernangomez is reportedly getting waived by the team on Tuesday. The 27-year-old appeared in 42 games for the Raptors while starting 10 of those contests. He posted averages of 2.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 0.6 assists on 42.1% shooting. The addition of Jakob Poeltl seemed to seal the fate of Hernangomez as the team finally found their true center. He may be able to find his way on the end of a bench this year, but he would still be quite far off of the fantasy radar.

Toronto Raptors forward Juancho Hernangomez (ankle) has been ruled out for Monday's game against the Boston Celtics. The 27-year-old will sit out after spraining his ankle during Saturday's contest. The hope is that this will only be a one-game absence for Hernangomez. In the meantime, Thaddeus Young should see additional playing time. However, he's not a great streaming option with a majority of this roster healthy.

If Hernangomez can't recover in time for Monday's game, Chris Boucher and Thaddeus Young are in line to log a few more minutes.

Hernangomez claimed gold alongside his brother, Willy, who was named MVP of the tournament. Juancho is entering his first year with Toronto, having played sparingly en route to averaging 3.3 PPG for Boston, San Antonio and Utah last season. The 26-year-old is not immediately expected to factor into the Raptors' frontcourt plans, but his strong summer performance is indicative of his ability to score when given enough minutes.

The Raptors have quite a few long wings, but Hernangomez should still get into the mix. It's highly unlikely that Hernangomez has fantasy value as long as the Raptors can stay relatively healthy. He recently became popular because of his appearance in the recent film Hustle. Hernangomez put on some impressive moves in the movie, but it's hard to imagine him making much of an impact on a real NBA court.

Boston Celtics forward Juancho Hernangomez has entered the league's COVID-19 safety protocols and is out for Friday's game against the Golden State Warriors. That being said, Robert Williams III and Enes Freedom are going to see heavy minutes in this game. Both Al Horford and Grant Williams are out as well due to the protocols. The Celtics will need to lean on Williams and Freedom to carry them here. Both are worth looking at as streaming options or DFS choices for Friday's slate.
