Sat Oct 21 202320:17Shaquille Harrison Waived By Grizzlies
Memphis Grizzlies guard Shaquille Harrison has been waived by the organization on Saturday. Now, the Grizzlies have their Opening Night roster set with the release of Harrison, Adonis Arms, and David Johnson. Between the three, Harrison was the most experienced with six seasons under his belt. It's a bit surprising that the Grizzlies decided to move on from Harrison with Ja Morant sidelined to begin the season. However, it appears they feel comfortable with Marcus Smart, Derrick Rose, Desmond Bane, and Luke Kennard at the guard spots. It's possible that Harrison lands elsewhere, but he probably won't have reliable fantasy value.

Wed Sep 6 202309:22Shaquille Harrison Could Have Role To Play For Grizzlies Early On
Memphis Grizzlies guard Shaquille Harrison could see regular action early on in the season due to Ja Morant's 25-game suspension. Damichael Cole of The Commercial Appeal has noted that according to the NBA collective bargaining agreement, any player suspended more than six games will be put on the team's suspended list after five. That will open a roster spot, and Harrison could be the one to benefit and add more depth to the Grizzlies lineup. The 29-year-old has seen very little action in the NBA in recent seasons and suited up for just five regular-season games in 2022-23 after the Trail Blazers gave him a run on a 10-day contract. Harrison has averaged 5.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals for his NBA career, so he won't set the world alight, but the versatile veteran, who can play both guard positions, could provide some useful minutes for the Grizzlies.

Mon Apr 10 202322:29Shaquille Harrison Receives Extension
According to ESPN's Bobby Marks, the Lakers have added a second year to guard Shaquille Harrison's contract. He'll now receive a non-guaranteed salary of $2.4 million, and it gives Los Angeles a trade asset this offseason or at least a player who will compete for a roster spot. The 29-year-old journeyman has played for six teams over the years (excluding LA) and averaged 5.3 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 180 career games. However, he's not expected to be a reliable fantasy contributor anytime soon.
