The Los Angeles Lakers recalled guard David Nwaba from the Los Angeles D-Fenders of the NBA Development League on Tuesday morning.Nwaba, 24, has averaged 5.6 points and 3.2 rebounds in 18 games with the Lakers this season.He had 26 points and 10 rebounds in the D-Fenders' season-ending loss to the Rio Grande Valley Vipers in the D-Leagues' Western Conference Semifinals on Monday.On the season, Nwaba averaged 14.1 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.2 blocks in 40 games with the D-Fenders. He led the D-League in making 64.9 percent of his field goal attempts.The Lakers (25-55) own the NBA's third-worst record and are second-to-last in the Western Conference with two games remaining, including Tuesday's home game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

The Los Angeles Lakers signed guard David Nwaba to a second 10-day contract on Saturday.The 6-foot-5, 204-pound Nwaba is averaging 2.6 points, 1.6 rebounds and 11.2 minutes in five games with the Lakers after being recalled from the team's NBA Development League affiliate on Feb. 28 and signing his first 10-day contract.Nwaba, 24, played in 39 games (30 starts) with the Los Angeles D-Fenders this season, averaging 14.1 points, 6.9 rebounds, 1.4 steals and 1.2 blocked shots in 29.0 minutes per contest.
