The Houston Rockets suffered their second consecutive defeat Friday, but have filed an official protest of that 128-118 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers based on the disqualification of the wrong Clippers player, the Houston Chronicle reported.The Rockets' action was not made public, but according to the report, Clippers guard Jawun Evans committed a sixth foul with 3:10 remaining, but the infraction was incorrectly given to teammate Lou Williams. The Rockets trailed by only three points at the time of the error. An NBA official told the Chronicle on Saturday that the league is aware of the mistake.The Rockets have not been informed of a decision by the NBA on their protest.The last time the NBA upheld a protest was in 2008, but it was a similar situation. In that case, Shaquille O'Neal of the Miami Heat was mistakenly disqualified from a game with five fouls. On March 8, the Atlanta Hawks and Heat replayed the final 51.9 seconds of that game, which was originally played on Dec. 19. Atlanta ended up winning again.
