Slugger Joey Gallo is starting Friday's game at third base.Beltre is batting .315 with 16 homers and 66 RBIs in 80 games.Texas recalled third baseman Will Middlebrooks from Triple-A Round Rock to help plug the hole at third base.--Michael Fulmer, Detroit's de facto pitching ace with the departure of Justin Verlander, will miss at least two starts with a recurrence of numbness in his pitching fingers.Fulmer, a right-hander, is scheduled to see Dr. James Andrews next week, ostensibly to determine whether surgery is needed to correct his ulnar nerve.
