BOLOGNA, Italy (AP) — Marco Belinelli is going back to Italy, announcing Thursday that he has signed a three-year contract to play for Virtus Bologna. The 34-year-old guard spent 13 seasons in the NBA, playing for nine different teams — Golden State, Toronto, New Orleans, Chicago, Charlotte, Sacramento, Atlanta, Philadelphia and, most recently, San Antonio. Belinelli had two stints with the Spurs, helping them win the 2014 NBA title before returning for the last two seasons. He averaged 9.7 points in 860 regular-season games. Virtus Bologna plays in Italy's top league and features a roster that includes longtime European standout and former Los Angeles Clippers guard Milos Teodosic along with former Miami Hurricanes star Julian Gamble. LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Clippers have waived guard Milos Teodosic, who made his NBA debut with the team last season.Teodosic was limited to 15 games this season because of knee tendinitis after starting 36 of 45 games last year, his first in the NBA. He previously had a decorated 13-year career in Serbia, Greece and Russia.Teodosic, who helped Serbia to the 2016 Olympic silver medal, averaged eight points, four assists and 2.4 rebounds in two seasons in L.A.Earlier Thursday, the Clippers waived veteran big man Marcin Gortat.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The Clippers are finally out of their misery, a long season marred by significant injuries coming to an end just short of the playoffs.They finished with a winning record of 42-40, but their streak of consecutive postseason appearances ended at six. They closed out the season Wednesday night with a 115-100 loss to the Lakers, dropping their last four games in a row.They kept their playoff hopes alive until the final week of the regular season despite the injuries. Eleven players missed a total of 265 games.Coach Doc Rivers started an NBA-leading 37 different lineups because of the injuries. The Clippers were forced to dip into the G League for starters, most notably C.J.
