Nationals signed C James Skelton to a minor league contract.

Skelton batted just .221/.360/.346 with two homers and 14 RBI in 54 games between Double-A Carolina and Triple-A Lousivlle in 2011. The 26-year-old will act as organizational catching depth this season for the Nats.
