Sun Feb 1119:58Mo Bamba Questionable On Monday
Philadelphia 76ers center Mo Bamba (knee) is questionable for Monday's matchup against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The 25-year-old missed Saturday's meeting in Washington. However, fantasy managers are used to life without Bamba this season, considering he's missed 22 games already. There are minutes up for grabs until Joel Embiid (knee) returns. But regardless of whether Bamba can suit up, Paul Reed appears to remain a lock to absorb most of the minutes in the middle moving ahead.

Sat Feb 1014:04Mo Bamba Out Against Washington
Philadelphia 76ers center Mo Bamba (knee) won't play on Saturday versus the Washington Wizards. Even with Joel Embiid (knee) out of the equation, Bamba still hasn't received much action. He most recently logged 16 minutes on Friday night against the Atlanta Hawks, finishing with three points, three rebounds, three blocks, and a steal. It's unlikely Bamba's absence will impact many fantasy participants, although category managers could suffer as it relates to blocks. At any rate, Paul Reed should get all the minutes he can handle. There's also a good chance Kenyon Martin Jr. and Kenneth Lofton Jr. could join in on the fun.

Sat Jan 2709:18Mo Bamba Questionable For Saturday
Philadelphia 76ers center Mo Bamba (knee) is listed as questionable for Saturday's contest against Denver. The seven-footer could be out for a seventh consecutive game. However, Bamba practiced on Friday, which is an encouraging sign regarding his potential comeback. Philadelphia could use some extra help around the rim against Nikola Jokic. If he's ready to return, Bamba will eat into Paul Reed's minutes. He's averaged a modest 4.3 points and 3.0 rebounds in 24 appearances for the 76ers.

Mon Jan 2206:55Mo Bamba Questionable For Monday's Game
Philadelphia 76ers center Mo Bamba (knee) is questionable for a clash with San Antonio on Monday. He's been out for four games with a knee problem and could be forced to sit again. If that's the case, Paul Reed will continue to work as Joel Embiid's lone backup. Philadelphia bigs have very little fantasy value, with Embiid healthy. Bamba has been limited to 4.3 points and 3.0 rebounds, while Reed has notched 5.6 points and 4.6 rebounds.

Mon Jan 1509:58Mo Bamba Doubtful For Monday's Game
Philadelphia 76ers center Mo Bamba (knee) is listed as doubtful for Monday's clash against Houston. The 25-year-old put in an impressive performance against Sacramento on Friday, but he's now dealing with fat pad impingement on his right knee and will likely miss Monday's action. With Joel Embiid (knee) questionable for Monday, we could see a lot of Paul Reed against the Rockets, with Marcus Morris Sr. picking up minutes as the backup big.

Thu Jun 29 202320:21Mo Bamba Waived By Lakers
Los Angeles Lakers center Mo Bamba has been waived by the organization on Thursday. The big man only played in nine games for the Lakers last season, so it's not surprising to see them decline his $10.3 million option. The 25-year-old has been limited by injuries early in his career. He averaged 10.6 points and 8.1 rebounds when he was able to play 71 games with the Orlando Magic in 2021. The potential is there, so Bamba should be able to find a new home this offseason. His fantasy value will be dependent on his role, which probably won't be very big given his recent injury history.

Sun May 21 202323:03Mo Bamba Removed From Injury Report Ahead Of Game 4
Los Angeles Lakers center Mo Bamba (ankle) is expected to play Monday against the Denver Nuggets. Bamba has been out since their first round playoff match up as he reaggravated an ankle injury. Bamba had to receive an injection in his ankle as treatment which has helped speed up his recovery time. It remains to be seen if Bamba has any role in their elimination game on Monday. If Bamba plays meaningful minutes, it will likely take away from Jarred Vanderbilt's playing time.

Thu May 18 202315:50Mo Bamba Still Out Thursday
Los Angeles Lakers center Mo Bamba (ankle) won't be in the lineup for Thursday's Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals against Denver. According to reports, the 25-year-old is no longer dealing with swelling in his left ankle and has joined the team in Denver, but Bamba will be sitting out another game. He hasn't seen any action since Game 6 of the first-round series against Memphis, and after logging just 10:10 of action across three games in the playoffs, Bamba likely won't have a big part to play once he is eventually available for selection again.

Wed May 17 202319:30Mo Bamba Appears Ready To Play
Los Angeles Lakers center Mo Bamba (ankle) is reportedly no longer dealing with injury. The big man has been sidelined since the first round due to left ankle soreness. He received a PRP injection to help improve the healing last month. It appears that helped as the swelling has reportedly gone down. The 25-year-old hasn't appeared in a game since early March. It's unlikely that Bamba has a significant role in the rotation. However, he could see some playing time as the Lakers will likely try everything in order to slow down Nikola Jokic.

Mon May 15 202322:53Mo Bamba Out Again On Tuesday
Los Angeles Lakers center Mo Bamba (ankle) won't suit up in Game 1 of the Western Conference Finals against Denver. The 25-year-old hasn't played since the first round and remains bothered by left ankle soreness. However, even if Bamba were available, he likely would have seen just a few minutes of work, which obviously wouldn't do much for DFS managers.

Los Angeles Lakers center Mo Bamba (ankle) is questionable for Saturday's postseason matchup versus the Golden State Warriors. Thu May 4 202320:56Mo Bamba Out On Thursday
Los Angeles Lakers center Mo Bamba (ankle) has been ruled out for Thursday's Game 2 against the Golden State Warriors. The big man was considered questionable coming into this game due to left ankle soreness. The Lakers will play it safe here and sit Bamba during this contest. He hasn't been a big part of the rotation lately, so his absence won't have much of an impact on the rotation. Anthony Davis should continue to be the anchor for this team in the frontcourt.

Thu May 4 202309:28Mo Bamba Questionable For Game 2
Los Angeles Lakers center Mo Bamba (ankle) is considered questionable for Thursday's Game 2 against Golden State. He's dealing with left ankle soreness and Bamba was also questionable for Game 1 of the series before getting ruled out. Bamba's absence hasn't been a big miss for the Lakers, as the 24-year-old has featured very little for the team since joining from Orlando in February. In the playoffs, he's taken the court in just three games, logging a total of 10:10 of action.

Mon May 1 202319:59Mo Bamba Questionable For Tuesday
Los Angeles Lakers center Mo Bamba (ankle) is listed as questionable for Tuesday's Game 1 against the Golden State Warriors. The big man is dealing with left ankle soreness, so the team will likely wait until closer to game time before making a final decision. Bamba has played a total of nine minutes during the postseason. His absence probably won't have a big impact on the rotation.

Wed Apr 5 202321:56Mo Bamba Makes His Return On Wednesday
Los Angeles Lakers center Mo Bamba (ankle) will suit up for Wednesday's game against the Los Angeles Clippers. The big man will make his return to the court after missing the last month due to a left ankle sprain. It's uncertain how significant of a role Bamba is going to have during his first game back. Bamba hasn't seen consistent minutes in the rotation since being traded to Los Angeles. His return could mean less playing time for Rui Hachimura and Wenyen Gabriel.

Thu Mar 9 202321:41Mo Bamba To Miss A Month
Los Angeles Lakers center Mo Bamba (ankle) is expected to miss at least the next four weeks. The big man has been diagnosed with a left high-ankle sprain on Thursday. This is a tough blow to a Lakers squad that is already dealing with multiple injuries. The absence of Bamba should mean more minutes for Wenyen Gabriel and Rui Hachimura. Between the two, Hachimura has more upside, but neither are great fantasy options. At this point, Bamba can be safely dropped in most fantasy formats with this four-week timetable.

Fri Feb 10 202313:152023 NBA Trade Deadline Breakdown - Fantasy Basketball Impacts
The NBA trade deadline has officially come and gone and we had one of the most active deadlines in recent memory with some big stars being dealt. Kyrie, KD, and Westbrook are all heading to new teams and we have been covering those trades and their fantasy impacts here at RotoBaller. But there were plenty of other lesser-known players who were dealt in the last few days and I wanted to go through and make sure we don't overlook some of these trades as some of those deals may even have more fantasy impact than the big moves. So here are some other trades that went down and my two cents on the increase or decrease in value that we should expect from the players involved for the remainder of the 2022-2023 fantasy basketball season.

Moves That Matter

These are very much in order of how much they matter. Let's start with the Spurs sending their starting center back up North where he started his career.Jakob Poeltl to the RaptorsI am a huge Poeltl fan and was close to acquiring him on multiple teams before the deadline. It was a curious move by Toronto to be buyers instead of sellers at the deadline, but Poeltl gives them the presence at the five they have been lacking all season and allows Siakam to shift over and play PF where he belongs.Poeltl is no longer a shutdown candidate and has legit top-50 upside with his multi-category abilities. His departure also makes ... [More]
Thu Feb 9 202322:32Mo Bamba Joining The Lakers
The Magic traded center Mo Bamba to the Lakers on Thursday in exchange for Patrick Beverley. Bamba hasn't been a consistent contributor throughout his five seasons of service, averaging 7.7 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 1.4 blocks. However, the 24-year-old should be the clear-cut No. 2 option behind Anthony Davis after Thomas Bryant was sent to Denver. As a result, fantasy managers need to keep an eye on Bamba, especially if Anthony Davis goes down again with another injury at some point moving forward.

Sun Feb 5 202300:14Mo Bamba Suspended Four Games
Orlando Magic center Mo Bamba will serve a four-game suspension. The 24-year-old started in place of Wendell Carter Jr. (foot) on Friday against the Minnesota Timberwolves. However, his night ended after only 21 minutes after getting into a physical altercation with Austin Rivers. Nevertheless, with Carter returning on Sunday versus Charlotte, Bamba's fantasy potential would have been limited anyway.

Sat Feb 4 202307:02Mo Bamba Among FIve Players Ejected
Orlando Magic center Mo Bamba was among five players who got ejected from Friday's matchup versus the Timberwolves. He got into a fight with Minnesota's Austin Rivers late in the third quarter and a big tussle broke out on the court which involved several players. Jaden McDaniels and Taurean Prince from the Timberwolves and Jalen Suggs from the Magic were also tossed from the game. There are going to be a number of suspensions from the incident which will have a big impact on both teams' rotations. The Magic already were involved in a brawl earlier in the season in a game against Detroit and 11 players were suspended then.
