Tue Feb 2021:53Mikal Bridges Committed To Brooklyn
According to Brian Lewis of the New York Post, Brooklyn Nets guard Mikal Bridges is "100%" committed to the team. The former Sun recently expressed his disapproval of the offense under Jacque Vaughn, who has since been relieved of his head coaching duties. However, it appears Bridges plans to remain in Brooklyn. "I'm here now and want to stay here," said Bridges during a recent interview. "I'm going to keep grinding and getting to wherever we've got to get to win." The 27-year-old was traded to Brooklyn last season and averaged a career-high 26.1 points in 27 games. But his production has declined significantly, logging nearly five points fewer per contest throughout the 2023-24 campaign. But with Kevin Ollie earning the interim tag, Bridges may get back on track sooner rather than later, so fantasy managers need to remain patient.

Fri Jan 1920:59Mikal Bridges Available Against The Lakers
Brooklyn Nets guard Mikal Bridges (shin) is available for Friday's meeting with the Lakers. He was listed as probable because of a right shin contusion. However, it will take more than that to keep the league's most durable player out of the lineup. The 2018 No. 10 overall pick is averaging 21.4 points this season, nearly five less than the 2022-23 campaign. However, Bridges should remain starting in every fantasy format imaginable, considering he's starting to pick things up in all statistical categories.

Fri Jan 1913:05Mikal Bridges Probable To Play Friday
Brooklyn Nets forward Mikal Bridges (shin) is listed as probable to play on the NBA Injury Report and should be available to play Friday's game at the Lakers. The 27-year-old injured his shin in the team's loss at Portland Wednesday and had to exit the game. After returning to the game and earning a probable designation, the former Sun appears good to go for Friday's game. Barring any pregame setbacks, Bridges should be in for his regular starting role with solid minutes and usage.

Wed Jan 318:18Nets Have No Plans To Trade Mikal Bridges
The Brooklyn Nets have no intention of trading forward Mikal Bridges, and the organization wants to continue to add talent around him as a foundational piece to their roster, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Bridges' lauded "iron-man" status has carried into his first full year with Brooklyn, having not yet missed a single game in his career. The 27-year-old two-way star's late-season scoring binge after the Nets acquired him as the key coup of last February's Kevin Durant trade, however, is beginning to look a bit flukey. Although the front office appears to value him as a building block, Bridges has experienced a considerable drop in points (20.9) and turnovers (2.4) per game as well as free-throw percentage (83.2%) from last year's second half. With that said, Bridges is still a head-to-head fantasy gem for his exceptional ability to stay on the court.

Thu Nov 23 202310:15Mikal Bridges Goes Off For 45 Points
Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Mikal Bridges was on fire in Wednesday's matchup against the Hawks, putting up a career-high tying 45 points in a 147-145 overtime loss. He did the damage with 16-for-31 shooting from the field and an 11-for-12 record at the stripe. A 10-rebound outing also meant a second double-double of the season for Bridges, and he dished out four assists while snagging two steals. Both of Bridge's double-doubles have come in his last five appearances, and the stretch includes four games with over 20 points, so it looks like he's starting to hit form after having a fairly quiet opening to the campaign.

Sun Sep 10 202309:31Mikal Bridges' Late Heroics Not Enough For Team USA Versus Canada
Brooklyn Nets forward Mikal Bridges came up with a miraculous four-point play in Team USA's bronze medal battle against Canada at the World Cup. With mere seconds left in regulation, Bridges made one free throw and intentionally missed the second, grabbed the rebound, and sent the game to overtime with a turnaround corner triple. Unfortunately for Bridges and his teammates, the Canadians still powered past them in the extra period, winning the game 127-118. The Nets star had 19 points in total in the clash with 6-for-12 shooting from the field. He also pulled down a game-high nine rebounds and handed out four assists while collecting two steals. Bridges played an efficient game throughout the World Cup, shooting 63.3 percent, but only came alive offensively late in the competition and averaged 13.6 points. He now starts preparing for his first full season in Brooklyn, which promises to be a big one for the 27-year-old.

Sat Jul 29 202318:05Mikal Bridges Hopes To Improve As Playmaker
Brooklyn Nets forward Mikal Bridges hopes to become a more dynamic playmaker this season. "If everyone eats, that's the best thing," Bridges said during a recent discussion with Brian Lewis of the New York Post. "I'm very, very willing to pass and be a playmaker, and that's as someone where I'd rather have a 25, 10, and 10 game than a 30-something and four assists." The 26-year-old has a plethora of skills in his arsenal. He's a potent scorer and thrives on the defensive end. Bridges is also arguably the most durable player in the NBA. Despite that, the former Sun still has room to grow, and it's not unreasonable to believe he could enter the MVP conversation at some point in 2023-24.

Wed Jul 26 202308:49Mikal Bridges Doesn't Expect Big Moves By Nets Ahead Of Season
Brooklyn Nets forward Mikal Bridges doesn't foresee the team making big roster moves ahead of the season. "Yeah, pretty much, I think so. And I'm pretty excited about it," Bridges told The New York Post. "I mean, I love the guys that we've got, just bring everybody back and finally go through preseason and new coaching staff and for Jacque [Vaughn] just to have his preseason and have his coaching staff whoever he wants and put what he wants coming in for him." Brooklyn has been linked with a move for Damian Lillard and Tyler Herro, but it looks like there won't be any major changes ahead of next season. Fantasy-wise, this should suit Bridges, who was outstanding for the Nets last term after arriving from Phoenix, averaging 26.1 points with 4.5 rebounds and 2.7 assists.

Tue Jun 20 202322:26Mikal Bridges Being "Built Around" By Nets?
The Brooklyn Nets could be "building around" swingman Mikal Bridges, per Adrian Wojnarowski. Woj also believes the team could keep Bridges "in place for the next big star that's available in a trade." It's high praise for the 26-year-old rising star, who put up 26.1 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per game over 26 contests following the Kevin Durant trade. Woj also suggests Brooklyn has received offers for Bridges. However, they would likely need to be blown away by any potential trades to make a swap with three years of team control remaining on his current contract.

Wed May 31 202313:09Nets Looking To Build Around Mikal Bridges
Brooklyn Nets forward Mikal Bridges is seen as a building block for the team, according to Brian Lewis of the New York Post. Thu May 25 202313:20Nets Not Looking To Trade Mikal Bridges To Portland
Brooklyn Nets forward Mikal Bridges opened a lot of eyes when he was traded from Phoenix and immediately made his presence felt on both ends of the floor. Rumors have been swirling about Portland trying to offer the third-overall pick in this year's NBA Draft and Anfernee Simons for Bridges, but according to Alex Schiffer of The Athletic, the Nets don't seem interested in making a deal. Mon Apr 17 202322:25Mikal Bridges Struggles On Monday Evening
Brooklyn Nets forward Mikal Bridges struggled in Monday's loss to the 76ers. Philly had his number all night, limiting him to 6-for-15 shooting from the field and 2-for-8 shooting from deep. Fortunately, he went 7-for-9 from the charity stripe and added seven assists, five rebounds, and a steal, so DFS managers still got something from him. The 26-year-old scored 30 points in Game 1 and will look to bounce back in Game 3 on Thursday night.

Brooklyn Nets guard/forward Mikal Bridges led all scorers with a 30-point effort in Game 1 against Philadelphia. He heated up in a hurry with 11 first-quarter points, although Bridges' efforts weren't enough to keep the Sixers from dominating the contest. Bridges, who has now scored at least 30 points in five of his last 10 outings, shot 12-for-18 from the field with a 2-for-4 record from deep and pulled down five rebounds while recording one assist and one block in 34 minutes. The rest of the Nets starters combined for just 43 points in the 121-101 loss, so Bridges clearly needs better support to make this series competitive.
