Wed Jun 28 202310:28Jevon Carter Declines His Player Option
Milwaukee Bucks point guard Jevon Carter has declined his $2.24 million player option and will hit the open market. The 27-year-old finally made a breakthrough in the league last season and is now looking to secure a good contract. Carter averaged 8.0 points with 2.5 rebounds and 2.4 assists for the Bucks in 2022-23, shooting over 42 percent from three-point range. He has also proven himself as a good defender. Considering his skillset, the West Virginia product should draw plenty of attention in free agency.

Thu Apr 6 202310:48Time To Hang It Up: Five NBA Players That Should Retire After The Season
Basketball is a fast-paced game. While the court's dimensions are smaller than baseball and football fields, there is no room to relax because players must exert effort on offense and defense. NBA's Advanced Stats reveal that LaMelo Ball trumps other ballers in the distance covered, averaging 2.77 miles per game. Fred VanVleet is not far behind at 2.76.Therefore, basketball players must be in good condition to render significant minutes. Conversely, injuries are also a dime a dozen because of the extensive regular season. Failing to stay in shape could mean reduced playing time or an abrupt end to their career. But at some point, Father Time wins, no matter how much a player wants to delay the inevitable. These players have rendered extensive NBA careers but are far from the peak of their capabilities. Sadly, retirement after the 2022-23 season is a strong possibility because they are not steady contributors anymore or hardly step into the court. However, their younger teammates should pick their brains and learn from their limitless wisdom.

Thaddeus Young

Young won the NBA Hustle Award during the 2020-21 season thanks to his accumulated hustle stats like taking screens and diving for loose balls. But that recognition is a nice consolation for a man who nearly averaged a double-double (15.1 points, nine rebounds) for the 2015-16 season with the Brooklyn Nets.https://twitter.com/ClutchPointsApp/status/1612227070108516355The 16-year veteran has been touted as a do-it-all player on both ends. Unfortunately, his production has significantly dropped in his second season with the Toronto Raptors. He is averaging only 4.4 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 1.4 assists per game through March 11. He hasn't played since, even if he is on the active roster, because of ... [More]
Sun Apr 2 202318:29Jevon Carter Expected To Play Sunday
Milwaukee Bucks guard Jevon Carter (knee) is expected to play Sunday against the Philadelphia 76ers. Carter was questionable coming into the contest with knee soreness, but has been cleared to play and should resume his normal role off the bench. Carter has carved out a solid role in reserve, proving to be a key player in Milwaukee's second unit. If Carter is limited in any capacity, Jae Crowder, Wesley Matthews and Joe Ingles should see increased minutes.

Fri Feb 17 202311:21Jevon Carter Capitalizes In Spot Start Against Chicago
Milwaukee Bucks guard Jevon Carter filled in for the injured Pat Connaughton and Khris Middleton and he capitalized on the situation for fantasy managers everywhere. He ended the game with 22 points, six rebounds, six assists, and one steal while shooting 9-for-13 from the floor and 4-for-5 from three. Any time Carter sees a spot-star, he almost always becomes a must-play in every fantasy format. For those in deeper leagues, he could be worth holding on the roster even on a normal day.

Thu Nov 10 202209:41Jevon Carter Explodes For Career-High 36 Points
Milwaukee Bucks guard Jevon Carter took over the starting role on Wednesday night and didn't disappoint. With Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jrue Holiday both out, the 27-year-old stepped up and led the Bucks to a 136-132 win double-overtime. Carter finished the game with 36 points, 12 assists, four rebounds, and one steal while shooting 15-for-27 from the floor and 5-for-10 from beyond the arc. He's getting plenty of minutes off of the bench this season, so if any guards in the starting lineup are out, he's a great pickup as a streaming option if he's available.

Tue Feb 22 202219:33Jevon Carter Likely To Sign With Bucks
Free-agent guard Jevon Carter is expected to sign with the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday. He was recently waived by the Brooklyn Nets to make room for Goran Dragic. Carter clears waivers on Wednesday and is expected to join the Bucks roster. He should immediately make an impact in Milwaukee with the Bucks roster being banged up. Carter doesn't have tremendous upside, but did show flashes during his time with Brooklyn. Fantasy managers should wait and see with Carter since it's uncertain how he'll impact the roster.

Mon Feb 21 202219:45Jevon Carter Released By Nets
Brooklyn Nets guard Jevon Carter has been released by the organization. The team needed to clear a roster spot for Goran Dragic, so Carter was the odd man out. It's a shame because Carter had shown flashes of potential throughout the season. He even had one game where he knocked down seven three-pointers. The 26-year-old should be able to find another team, but it's unlikely he does enough to warrant adding in any fantasy formats. At this point, the fourth-year player is basically going to be a depth player on any teams he joins.

Sat Aug 15 202015:04Surprising Suns ready to build off bubble success
PHOENIX (AP) — Coach Monty Williams could sense a few eye rolls earlier this summer when the Phoenix Suns and their extremely mediocre 26-39 record were invited to the NBA's bubble.A few months later, the Suns are the talk of the league after winning all eight games in Florida and nearly making a run all the way to the playoffs.“I think we've gained the respect of the league and that's huge,” Williams said. “It's huge for us as an organization. It's huge for us as a team. There was some sentiment before this that we didn't belong. I think we changed that sentiment.”The Suns won't be in the playoffs for a 10th straight season after the Portland Trail Blazers edged the Brooklyn Nets 134-133 on Thursday night to clinch the final spot in the Western Conference play-in series. But for Phoenix, it's hard not to be encouraged by its 8-0 run in the bubble.“We took tremendous strides in so many different ways,” All-Star guard Devin Booker said. “Other than just basketball, too. We became closer... [More]
