Tue Jul 11 202319:38Timberwolves Sign Troy Brown Jr. To Two-Year Deal
The Minnesota Timberwolves have signed former Laker Troy Brown Jr. to a two-year deal worth $8 million, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. The second year of the contract is not guaranteed, so Brown will have to prove himself yet again to make sure he stays under contract after this coming season. He's coming off his second-best season, as he averaged 7.1 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game while shooting 43.0% from the floor and 38.1% from three. He'll battle Jaylen Nowell and Kyle Anderson for minutes off of the bench, but he shouldn't be on any fantasy radars at the moment.

Mon Jan 16 202321:57Troy Brown Jr. Cleared To Play Monday
Los Angeles Lakers forward Troy Brown Jr. (quad) will play Monday against the Houston Rockets. Brown recently came back from a quad injury and played 37 and 38 minutes in the two games back. Despite feeling some soreness after those games, Brown was probable to play Monday so there was not much of a concern in his game status. Brown should continue to see his main role, but could see a reduce in minutes due to the nature of the second half of a back-to-back set.

Mon Jan 16 202318:02Troy Brown Jr. Probable For Monday
Los Angeles Lakers forward Troy Brown Jr. (quad) is listed as probable for Monday's game against the Houston Rockets. The 23-year-old returned from a quad injury roughly a week ago. He has played nearly 40 minutes in each of the last two games. That being said, it wouldn't be shocking to see Brown get the night off on Monday. Patrick Beverley (illness) has been cleared to play, so he'd have an increased role if Brown sits out. Fantasy managers will have to check back closer to tip-off for more information.

Sun Oct 23 202200:17Troy Brown Jr. Expected To Make Lakers Debut Versus Portland
Los Angeles Lakers guard/forward Troy Brown Jr. (back) is expected to play on Sunday versus the Trail Blazers. The 23-year-old signed with the team in the offseason. However, he's been battling a back issue and has yet to make his Lakers debut as a result. Brown averaged 4.3 points and 3.1 rebounds in 66 games with the Bulls last season. But he may see an expanded role in L.A. in 2022-23, potentially making a few starts here and there. With that said, fantasy managers should stay away from Brown for now until he demonstrates he can be a reliable producer.

Sun Dec 12 202117:39Zach LaVine, Troy Brown Jr. Join Health Protocols
Chicago Bulls shooting guard Zach LaVine and guard/forward Troy Brown Jr. entered the NBA's health and safety protocols on Sunday, which means the team now has nine players in the league's COVID-19 protocols. DeMar DeRozan, Coby White, Javonte Green, Matt Thomas, Derrick Jones Jr., Ayo Dosunmu and Stanley Johnson are also among them. The Bulls take the court next on Tuesday against Detroit, and whilst the team's situation is worrying, the game is expected to go ahead. According to league rules, a team must have eight players available and Chicago currently has nine on its roster.

Wed Oct 20 202114:16Troy Brown Jr. Available For Season Opener
Chicago Bulls forward Troy Brown Jr. (illness) has been upgraded to available for Wednesday's game against the Detroit Pistons. He has been dealing with a non-COVID related illness, but should be good to go here. Brown was able to get through shootaround without any issues. He should be an important part of the Bulls rotation, but probably won't produce enough stats to warrant rostering in most fantasy formats.

Sun May 16 202121:46Bucks hold Antetokounmpo, Middleton out of finale
CHICAGO (AP) — Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo was a late scratch from the Milwaukee Bucks’ lineup with the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference out of reach, and Khris Middleton missed the regular-season finale against the Chicago Bulls because of lingering soreness in his left ankle. The Brooklyn Nets beat the Cleveland Cavaliers to secure the second seed. That locked Milwaukee into the third spot and a first-round matchup with Miami. And the Bucks opted to scratch Antetokounmpo and the rest of their starters. Milwaukee had already ruled out Middleton. The two-time All-Star missed his fourth game this season after scoring 21 points the previous night in a win over Miami. “We feel like if we can kind of get on top of it this 24, 48 hours, I think he’ll be in a great place heading into the week of prep and playoffs,” coach Mike Budenholzer said. The Bucks began the day a game behind Brooklyn for the No. 2 seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs. They needed a win over the Bulls... [More]

Thu Mar 25 202120:52Bulls take big step toward turnaround with deal for Vucevic
CHICAGO (AP) — The Chicago Bulls acquired an All-Star center and sent a loud message to the rest of the NBA with one blockbuster trade. They're serious about becoming a contender. And they're ready to welcome top free agents. The Bulls pulled off their first major trade since Arturas Karnisovas was hired to lead their basketball operation last spring by acquiring two-time All-Star center Nikola Vucevic from Orlando prior to Thursday's deadline. They also added Al-Farouq Aminu in the deal and sent Wendell Carter Jr., Otto Porter Jr. and two future first-round selections with certain lottery protections to the Magic. “We're trying to improve our team,” Karnisovas said. “That was an opportunity. You don't get so many opportunities to improve with players like that. I think we've done pretty well today." Vucevic is averaging a career-best 24.5 points and 11.8 rebounds in his 10th NBA season and ninth in Orlando. He has two full seasons remaining after this one on the four-year, $100 million... [More]
Sat Aug 15 202013:14After 25-win season, Wizards need Wall, Beal to be 'fun'
Rui Hachimura just wrapped up his rookie year -- and it was a rough one for his Washington Wizards, who yet again missed the playoffs -- but he knows enough to recognize the biggest two reasons to have at least a modicum of hope looking ahead.“When John and Brad return,” said the first Japanese player to be taken in the NBA draft’s first round, “it’s going to be a fun team.”That could be. Not really anywhere to go but up, after all, given that the Wizards went 25-47 overall this season without point guard John Wall, including just 1-7 during the league’s coronavirus pandemic restart in Florida without shooting guard Bradley Beal, who cited a bum shoulder in opting out. Only seven of the NBA’s 30 clubs finished the regular season with a worse winning percentage, so it is hard to know exactly what Washington is capable of becoming as it moves forward.Much will depend on how this offseason unfolds. “We have some decisions to make,” coach Scott Brooks said.Without their two All-Stars and far-and-away...
